Presently using Fire Melee on my Brute, and loving it, the damage is very good, very nice seeing all those orange numbers!
I LOVE my Fire/Fire Brute. I don't think you'll be dissapointed.

Uhm....always take Build Up and FE on a Fire/Fire Brute....
I only had room for one in my build, and I went with fiery embrace. Accuracy is not really am issue, and the +dmg is stonger and longer with FE vs BU. When I had both it was good, but I still feel good without BU.
I don't feel squishy with my fire/fire brute either. If you build up enough recharge and + def and+ hp thru IOs, and with tough and maybe weave, you won't feel weak. With just SOs, you may feel a tad off, but that is why IOs are here- they can make any toon super.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.

what is the general opinion?
i think fire melee is sick damage, and that build + firey embrace will be hawt... but besides for that little moment of glory, i dont see much for the set.
anyone wanna correct me?
