  5. Haven't the developers stated at one point or another that, while keeping invention enhancement sets in mind, designing a power based on them is inherently BAD design?

    Seriously any set with 100% recharge bonuses is going to perform WAY better than it normally would on anyone who can't afford 500 billion in enhancements.

    I personally don't think the numbers (which are TANK values) are too high at all, especially considering if I was to ever make an electrical armor brute/scrapper/tank, I most certainly would only have between 15-35% recharge in IO bonuses because I flat out don't want to farm the rest of my life away to slot for a high recharge build (I've done it on one character and that was enough to satisfy me).

    Well that's disappointing. Half the "I'm so anxious about issue #!!" was me looking over some of the costume and power changes again and again all while not being able to test it or see it in a dynamic setting.

    Gone are the happy days of viewing the character creator on test again and again with great anticipation. ; (

  8. When they did that free week-long reactivation of old accounts there was some elec/psy blaster running around in RV on freedom who was pretty badass. It's a good pairing especially when played well. Team up with a controller to help position people for your pbaoe drain psyche and don't bother with short circuit.

  10. I, uhm, don't like the changes for the following reasons:
    1. They load a lot better on internet explorer rather than firefox, and I mainly use firefox.
    2. Why the hell does my name have an _NA now?
    3. My game login became my forum login, sigh.
    4. It looks updated, sure, but more compartmentalized or something. I liked everything on one scrollable page.

    Think about it, if you had 3 Colds on a team and they all choose a different custom color and apply the shields you're left with an ugly mixed mess of color. Could you imagine Green, Purple, and Red ice shields being all on your character at one time?

    From a PvE perspective I hope they don't. For PvP I hope they do, and make the chance 10% or lower. I don't like knowing that firing that thing off would lead to a stun more than 1/10 times, considering a blaster will be firing off lots and lots of them in combat.

    Apart from Spines being able to use the geometry from Thorns, and Thorns being able to use the geometry from Spines (both of which can be colored), there will be at least one other set of alternate geometry/FX.

    As for Martial Arts, the alternate animations we have right now are mainly punches. The idea was to provide you guys with a way to make the classic, fights with their fists and feet, super-hero that many have been asking for. That includes a new animation for assassin's strike (Assassin's Blow?).

    Rad is better at the lower levels. If you are going to be PvPing in Sirens or lower level arena, go with Rad because that set gets all it's best stuff by 30. Cold and Thermal are better at the higher levels with some of their best powers coming at 35+.

    Yeah /colds in RV obviously outperform /colds in SC. The OP mentioned leaning towards /rad or /cold and I just think /rad performs better with less work (ie. it's harder to do as well with a cold/it takes more skill) no matter level.

    DC Universe Online will have it to a practical degree too. It would have been a bad policy (with regards to business practice) to not invest time/money/work/etc. into making this option available.

I know that initially, powers were going to be one set color so players can immediately identify what they are, but it seemed that at E3, there was some discussion that might change.

So Ice for example can go from whites to dark blues/greens but not red. It sticks to the cool colors that make it feel like a cold power. Other powers will have different color ranges to chose from depending on what the characters of the power is and what colors sell it best for players.")
