  1. All I know is I am "The Man Without Beer!"
  2. I wouldn't mind a "reinterpretation" of Watchmen, but not as the first movie. I have no problem with great comic stories becoming like Shakespeare or the Greek literature in their many retellings, but since a Watchmen movie is so close to when it was originally published, you gotta go faithful at first!
  3. And like Dr. Manhattan, I can post multiple times at the same time!
  4. I like how he calls Greengrass a rookie, while Snyder was a relative rookie too.

The review for "Shark Sandwich" was merely a two word review which simply read "**** Sandwich".
  6. Oh my, the SoundTrack also has Claire/Emilie de Ravin singing "Catch a Falling Star" from the end of Sundown. It is ultracreepy.
  7. Reason #23 why I love Lost and Michael Giacchino's score: on the Season 6 soundtrack, there is a song entitled "Sayid After Dentist"

I also think his Jacob Theme is one of the best for the characters. I also love Locke and Hurley Themes.

Meh, Punisher is even comparable to Batman in that I believe in the current history (or maybe a retconned away one) the criminal behind the elder Waynes' murder has been caught.

Punisher and Batman both continue to "fight" crime. Frank is just a blunter tool than Bruce. And, no doubt, Batman can wipe the floor with Punisher.

One can make the arugment though that Punisher is a grittier, more outwardly psycotic version of Batman. Frank didn't have the "luxury" of Bruce with time and money. So he went to what he knew: blowing people away with military tactics.

Actually, has there ever been an Elseworlds story where Mama and Papa Wayne were killed when Bruce was an adult and how that would have shaped Batman?

Not sure which Punisher you've been reading, but Frank does have motivation (the death of his family. Kinda familiar?), wears an outfit with a skull not a cross, and does wear armor and sometimes uses high tech.

He also has plans, depending on the arc, and often infiltrates drug cabals or groups to tear them apart from the inside,

Punisher may be a little more outwardly unhinged.
  10. Actually, wouldn't it have taken only 2 1/2 years to reach it, then 2 1/2 years back, for a grand total of 5 years?
  11. This just means when I make dumb decisions, I should fell extra shame!
  12. Whose to say that Supes didn't stock the ship with oxygen and nachos and do some repairs on it on the weekend, like restoring a classic car?

Wait till Ororo Munroe and Frank merge after an science accident. We will get...

    ...Stormin' D. Castle!
  14. That's a long time to be in the plumbing business!
  15. I think the implication is that Hurley is going to groom Walt to take his place, but not immediately. First, he will have to help Michael, and maybe perform some other odd jobs, but yeah, Hurley only being the leader for maybe five years max doesn't really seem that long/important.

And yes, the finale was a well executed recap So much so, I was pining for the days Dom Monaghan had longer hair.
  16. The cameo doesn't even have to be visual, they coudl always have Lee be the Narrator or a voice on a phone.
  17. I would also say Neve Campbell, but since she is doing Scream 4, I doubt she would do something like this.
  18. Really, scripts change all the time. So a Flash and/or a Green Lantern 2 script being finished now just means that it has a lot of time to be rewritten!
  19. BWAAAAAAAAAH!

Hehe, I love how Inception is the go-to trailer mashed up of summer.
  20. Rumoredly, it needs to sell out every performance for five years straight to earn its money back.

Also, a new villain named Swiss Miss is just asking for guffaws.
  21. I want to see Sylar and Sue team up!

"You think this is hard? Try acquiring powers through the use of cranial incisions!"
  22. I am desperately looking for the sketch McKellan did when he hosted SNL where he played the huge Dr. Who fan coming on a nerd show and roleplayed various sci-fi/fantasy/geeky characters (one of which was Gandalf, which the the other participants in the sketch panned)
  23. I like how Kring talks about how the show didn't have a single premise and that allowed them to do shorter stories and volumes and that was a plus.

Which, yeah, it kinda was, but it kinda wasn't. While having half-season arcs made sure that things would eventually wrap up, the show often felt schizo and disorganized by virtue of each new volume either forgetting what went before and rehashing it or trying to shoehorn a new continuity into the old story (like what role Papa Petrelli played)
  24. I would say that Anna Paquin also got a career boost, though it was more of a career resurgence, since she was a child star that was somewhat fading by that point.

You can also make an argument that the X-franchise, coupled with LOTR, made Ian McKellan a household name in America.

I think the reason why Berry was cast over Basset was because Berry could have been gotten "cheaper" at that point, due to their divergent career paths at the time. Of course, that was almost immediately reversed with Berry's Oscar win and launch into superstardom.
