    Arc Reviews

I'm sure Venture is busy, so if anyone wants to review mine, feel free:

    2142
    2150
    42221
  4. Other good level 1 enemies: Clockwork, infected, contaminated, security guards, longbow, paragon police.

Also, you can make some pretty easy custom enemies for low levels, you just have to use the right sets.
  5. If someone's having difficulty with a minion with "easy" regen, there isn't any help for them. That's the set I use when I want to "waste" a power set, and no character I've played has had any difficulty against such characters, even ones with primarily lethal or toxic damage.
  6. The "length" descriptions are misleading. My missions are all "very long" because I use 5 missions and 98% of the available space, but they're almost all short maps (I think each arc I've done has one "long" mission on an outdoor map).
  7. If you're looking for an arc to start a new character on, you might try 42221: Secret Origins(Tech) The Snake Women of Epsilon V.

It's an "origin story" for a tech based character. It does assume a couple of things about the character, such as their background and source of powers. This is a little bit from the first mission intro:

" You were always the person that could fix things. Every time anything broke, from the TV to the computer, people called on you to take care of it. In High School, you were the kid that lived in the computer lab, and that's pretty much what you've been ever since: The Techie. You can't count the number of cell phones you own, your house is a maze of spare computer parts, and you get the shakes if you're away from electronic devices for more that twelve hours.

That's how you ended up here, working at Architect Entertainment."

It's definitely soloable - I ran through it on a level 1 Energy/Dev blaster without using any temp/vet powers.

If you want to RP it, skip outbreak and start in civvies, if you have a free costume change. Most of the missions are short, except the fourth one which is destruvtible object hunt on the outdoor Shore map.

It's 5 missions long and took me from level 1 - 4.5. It should take 1 - 2 hours at most. It will be slightly harder for characters using lethal or toxic damage or relying on stuns.

There are no EBs and two optional bosses in the last mission.
  8. Awesome idea. Hope your son has a good time.
  9. Your Brute might enjoy Arc 2150 "Win the 2009 Freak-Lympics", Plenty of things to Smash, Heroes and policemen to beat up and loot to steal.

As long as you can take an EB, you should be find, since there are some in there, but there are allies provided to help as well when they do come up.
  10. Fun, friendly, helpful...trade tips, arcs, etc. I've had fun so far using it and and found some pretty fun arcs.

Although several arcs have successfully integrated the AE as a part of their story, and I admire them for that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I thought about starting a thread along the lines of "Premises consistent with the AE backstory that let you do basically anything you want".

I've held off mostly because I had the feeling that an open discussion might irritate people who came up with those ideas independently and wanted to finish their personal creations before revealing their methods. In a way it's like PvP tactics; letting people explore and find their own solutions is often a good part of the fun, and I didn't want to create what might basically amount to a "spoiler" thread.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, since my Arc is done, I'll say that the way that I got around this was that the future DJ Zero figured out how to turn the AE equipment into a time machine, and is contacting the PC through its holographic interface. So it leaves the "AE as Holodeck" story intact, but makes the contact and missions "real" at the same time.

    More shameless self promotion.

This change and the previous one is bad because it still allows for some teammates to grief your team should they choose to log off and not quit. I have had it to happen twice since the first change on a few tfs I have done. Once on Katie hannon and once Sara Moore TFs. We need a way to be able to kick people from the team that are not currently logged in. Secondly neither of these changes have done anything to address the reason why this softloading of tf/sfs happens in the first place. If the recipes that people can actually use were more readily accessable we would not be going thru this now in the first place. Either address the issue with the drop pools or you are doing all this for nothing and all it is doing is punishing the rest of the playerbase instead of farmers.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Understandable and thanks for the feedback. However, I would have to advise you to better get to know the people you are grouping with. Simply put, if someone has a reputation for such, don't engage in a task / strike force or trial with them. You would be well advised to only take your most trusted allies with you to tackle such challenging and dangerous missions!

    [/ QUOTE ]

You have no idea how your own game works, do you?

So you recommend people check the resumes of everyone they group with? Group with SG mates only? You've got content that requires 8 people to sign up...you really think people are going to know the history of everyone? And since the game treats disconnects like logoffs, are people supposed to get a crystal ball to know if people are going to have technical problems?

HOW ABOUT YOU STOP TRYING TO FIX "EXPLOITS" AND START TRYING TO FIX THE REASON PEOPLE ARE EXPLOITING, LIKE THE LACK OF CONTENT IN THIS GAME?

I swear. Do you even play this thing?

    Valentines Event

If it's the new NCNC Policy to sell individual emotes, I'd rather have Jack and his cracked out idea about gameplay and balance back any day.

Should have known that this was coming once the makers of the craptastic lootfests lineage and lineage two took over.
