  1. OMG, I can't tell you how many hours I've logged on my old DK Jr handheld! Great find!

Too bad Zelda's not up yet.
  2. Carnies: The Anti-farm

Malta: Now more annoying than JUST sappers

Longbow: At least we're not Council

    CoT: Be a-MAZE-ing
  3. Hey Bubba, when we do this I was thinking it'd be neat to choose our arcs from each server's Post your MA Arc thread. That way we keep the server theme going and have a (hopefully) decent playlist to choose from.

    What do you think?
  4. So you're saying corss server teaming isn't as rough as we think?

  6. Okay contestants, there's just over 1 week remaining to get your submissions in!! Post 'em here or PM me for an email to send to and I'll host/post for you.

Caegmen's post got me to thinking...don't be discouraged if you're not a drawing expert. Cut & Paste is just fine. Photoshopped screenies are fine. Scribbles on lined paper are fine!

    Get creative and have fun.

(scribbles can be fun: my silly sketch of CuppaJo from '06)
  7. Hah! Had a chance to run through Farmville Beatdown this morning and it was great. Should be interesting to see how it scales up with a large team.

I've already run through about 12 arcs and have 2 good ones (counting Supa's) and one marginal. Plan on loading up Freakshow U tonight and another request. This is shaping up to be a fun weekend
  8. Wow. That 9th roll was epic. And all auctioned at 1inf?

    Balls. Of. Steel.

You, sir, deserve a badge (on top of your insane profit!)

  10. I figure like most creative minds they're just waiting til the last minute

Gawds I love me some Wonderella.
  12. Do you know of a good prank, whattatwist!, or pun-tastic arc?

Maybe you've made one yourself and have been waiting to release it on an unsuspecting public! Post those super-powered Rick Rolls here so we can all enjoy a little tomfoolery in the coming weeks

(edit: It would be appreciated if you actually post the ID number in your reply as many forumites (self included) have signatures disabled for faster browsing. Not required, but muchly appreciated.)
  13. Thanks for a fun turnout this week! Looks like Sundays are fitting into everyone's schedule a little better

We had a last-minute theme this week. I thought it'd be nice to play some Ædvertised Arcs: arcs which have been posted in the MA Subforum looking for feedback.

    #483637 "Veridian Awakening" by @Spirit
    5 Mish, Rogue

#480712 "Tangled Vines" by @Suspicious Glen
    5 Mish, Rogue

Both arcs were very well-crafted and you could tell the authors poured their hearts into them. My suggestions to both of them would be 1. give the player a better motivation than "money" and 2. edit the stories down to 4 missions...there's plenty of fat in each that can be cut. That said, they're both great 1st submissions and I hope they get plenty of good feedback!
Veridian Awakening is an ultra-detailed sci fi adventure that teams you up with a rogue AI and faces you off against the technologically advanced Veridian forces. While the storyline is pretty standard "rogue AI" fare, I enjoyed the formatting and conversational tone of the contact dialog and the custom group was well done.

Tangled Vines teams you up with Rogue Isles ace reporter, Amanda Vines, and sends the two of you on the lamb with seemingly everyone on your tail...including ninjas and pirates!! (sorry, no zombies or monkies) There's fun meta humor, creative use of a Malta Titan model, and a bit of a love story? What's not to love? Note: the custom enemy group in this one is a bit rough on a nearly full team. Squishies beware.
There's a few more arcs in the subforum still looking for feedback. If you have some time, give 'em a play and help an Æuthor out!

Next Sunday (3/27/11): It's Æpril Fools! Join us for super powered hijinx & shennanigans as we check out the best comedy/prank arcs we can find in the AE. I promise: no Rick Rolls! *crosses fingers*

  15. Such a perfect combo, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner.

  16. I can't believe I'm saying this, but, wise words from Rob Liefeld: (via Twitter)

And in truth, I expected MUCH worse from a Wonder Woman costume. Expectations are everything. Looks fun.

I agree, but it's not like anyone's going to be focused on her boots...
  18. DC finally released a photo of the new Wonder Woman for the TV pilot. Not a bad cross between the classic and the new looks.

    Paul: The Movie

Seriously, this movie had me at "Simon Pegg."
  21. If you're looking to practice on more than just the human/alien/mutant/cyborg form, I'm looking for a logo for my in-game cafe.

Of course, if you prefer mutants here's my namesake in all his flatulent glory

    St. Patricks Day

Since the implementation of SSK I don't even pay attention to level anymore. Sorry >.<
  23. Oh, and here's my official review:

I was out of town this weekend but ran these during the week so the MA Superteam would have a playlist of Ædes of March arcs. Here's this week's Greek/Roman/Cimerora-themed epics:

#458083 "All For Love In Cimerora" by @Daggerjack
    4 Mish, Heroic

#144447 "Gladiators of Venus" by @pnakotus
    5 Mish, Heroic

#89438 "Facing the Darkness" by @Leandro
    3 Mish, Heroic

#259452 "A Discordant Note" by @Sentinel of Freedom
    4 Mish, Heroic

#175660 "The Heart of Talos: A Warriors Task Force" by @Djinniman
    4 Mish, Heroic

All for love in Cimerora is a creative, Ouro-modern, CoH-telling of the love story of Troy. The characters, dialog, details and costumes are a treat and the action is fast-paced. If you're familiar with Helen of Troy and all it's characters you'll have a blast making the connections.

I gave this one BEST OVERALL for the week but the Superteam says they hit a bug in mission 2 so they had to abandon it. I didn't encounter any bugs solo, so it may have just been a group thing or Fredrik had been drinking again ;P

Gladiators of Venus is a bit of a stretch on the theme. It's a sci-fi arc set in a Gladiator arena on a distant planet! The missions are short & quick, but it's the unique storytelling and characters that make this arc shine. Plus, you get to make a moral choice in mission 4 if you pay attention to the story! MOST CREATIVE

(note: there was 1 invalid character that spawns as a 5th Column mekman but it may be fixed by now)

Facing the Darkness is a sequel of sorts to the Imperius Task Force. What happens to Romulus' Cimeroran followers after he falls? (...well, besides being ground up for XP?) Let's just say Romulus' alliance with the 5th Column takes the next logical step... The canon ties and great details make this a top-shelf story, but it's the Nictus-infused Cimerorans that win it BEST CUSTOMS of the week!

And the final arcs, A Discordant Note and The Heart of Talos were both solid stories with great action. I remember Heart of Talos was especially ingenious as it tied the street thug Warriors into Cimeroran mythos. A perfect canon match!
    Honorable mentions:

#183037 "Clash of the Titans" by @Operative Ajax
    3 Mish, Neutral

    #2521 "Time's New Roman" by @marqaha
    3 Mish, Heroic
It was a big list this week as there are a LOT of great, mythic arcs out there. Load a few up and test your mettle against AE's best!

Next Sunday (3/20/11): It's TBD week! We don't have a theme yet. Show up and see what kind of wackiness ensues!!
