  1. Congratulations to Rear Guard on FINALLY hitting level 50 after a good 13 months of trying!

Fair play though, he did have a 7 month break from the game

10/10 matey time to roll that kheld!
  2. Babel_EU

    Jum leaving.

oh man!" you'll be sorely missed jummy

    come back soon!

P.S. i've been there with the net provs, took me 9 weeks of loss of service to get transferred
  3. only thing i can say is if youre unsure of Khelds, DONT go all human :P
  4. it never ceases to amaze me the whole "rivalry" defiant present against union. Whilst i have much respect (generally) for our other english speaking server "cousins" the "we are better than you" attitude hacks me off somewhat.

Anyway, back to topic at hand. Nef is spot on. This is MY raid (not that im getting cocky, or pulling "rank", im not, but essentially, this time round, faliure or success, it all rests with me :S) And the plan for it, will be of my choosing. If its Jiaozy's plan, Defiants plan, a US server plan, or a combination of various "parts" is my choice. What i can assure you, is whatever the eventual plan i post here, will be the most viable and effective one with the "tools" (you and me) we have available, and the one that ives us the greatest chances of repeat success to follow on from the April raid.

I fully accept i have no raid leadership experience, and only once have i attended a raid. However, i have the experience of guidance, both via my job in RL, and with teams and SG leadership. I have the full support and guidance from those that do have extensive experience in raids and leading them(Jiaozy, Stage, D-Zol, amongst others) And this wont be a botched together attempt by an over-zealous "n00b".

I cant stress enough how much i want this to work, but at the same time, how i want us ALL, defiant, union, et all, to learn from each and every raid to fine-tune them. Someone pointed out the problem with new "leaders" every raid, for the major teamgroups, which i agree with, but at the same time, each one also brings a new perspective on their approach, and it all adds up to a better experience in the long term, dont you think?

I am in deep thought, both at work and at personal time on how to proceed, and will make sure plenty of time and planning is given to this.

To all, i thank you for your input, advice, guidance and offers of help thus far.
  5. Many thanks for ALL those comments!

I'm going to be working on the 2nd (and vastly improved) Reborn movie over the next few weeks, as that was my very first attempt at doing one, so in theory, things should be much better :P

Some very valid points though, all of which taken on board. Its actually nice to have CONSTRUCTIVE criticism on what was essentially 40+ hours of work, and great to see its not all been for nothing!

    Thans mate, appreciated
  6. ooh, speaking of pleasures..

anyone who thinks they are capable, and have the ability and capability of team leading, let me know for consideration!
  7. excellent, still 7 weeks away, and a nice gathering built up already!

Will be posting in about 2 weeks with initial Team Leader's, format and requirements!

    Thanks guys

as much as everybody I'd like to do it sooner, but there is a very slim chance there will be enough people signing on that way.

feel free to organize your own for the 5th though

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree there, and with previous raid history since ED, the two raids with shorter plan-time (October i belive, then December again?) Both were failed raids, and not enough controllers/heroes in attendance. Whereas Jiaozy's raid in April had pretty much over 2 months of "planning" and we all know how that went down! so it would SEEM than longer prep = better raid though as stage said, feel free to have your own on the 5th!

I'm open to the possibility of bringing it forward by a couple weeks if enough interest is registered though, but for the moment the 24th seems an ideal date

Heres to our 2nd successful raid in July!

    Since i6? :P

But yeah, second since i6 !
  10. Ok Guys, its THAT time again.. Hopefully with some NEW insight from the expedition Tonight (27 May)

All i want right now, is registration of interest, along with those willing to step up as squad leaders for each major team. The format will follow much the same as Jiaozy's SUPER successful raid in April, with PA drop, Turtle, Taunt Team et al.

Primary points of contact for this raid will be myself (Global = @Babel Babs) or Nefarious (@Stagefright)

I'll post more details in the coming weeks as to format of raid and what we require from you guys as raiders.

Heres to our 2nd successful raid in July!

    Babel/Dact.
  11. I HAVE THIS TO SAY:

    err.. hmm.
  12. Well, i'll be getting some more footage this weel, whilst i can take advantage of 8meg broadband
  13. BUT... no broadband (due to isp change) doesnt mean work has stopped!

The video is now at a whopping 7 minutes 1 second, and theres still around 26 minutes of unedited footage, as well as those that are "filming" for the movie.

The "end title" sequence is complete, along with its soundtrack, and most of the opening titles & sequences are in place.. so its gunna be a stormer!

Be warned though, the download looks liley to be huge. The quality of the preview on Page 1 is rather low, in the current state, its maximum quality, thus bigger file size and its standing at around 76meg. I expect the "release" to be around 150-200 meg in size, so it's no small movie, but i am confident that it'll be worth it.

May 2006! The Reborn: The Movie - rock on!

P.S. Dont take the preview as what is gunna "be" .. things have changed somewhat since that was created

BIG thanks to Jiaozy, for an EXCELLENT raid lead!

The music is the same as in the Elernet PvP video N2, his quality is much higher tho
The UI is nice if they're showing game sequence.
I hope you'll show something more than just hangin near Lusca or spamming holds to 3 DEs

    [/ QUOTE ]

    It's purely a "preview" its only 1 minute 20 long ffs :P

and the music is the same, "preview" not what will be in the actual movie. A Trailer, if you will.

Anyway, the quality will be greatly enhanced in the final thing, and will run for about 9-10 minutes. Gunna be "filming" all week for it, and make a start next weekend, so couple weeks, and it'll be ready!
  17. It's in production folks!

    WS V PB

    [ QUOTE ]

Also in Human form warshades lack some upfront damage in comparison to peacebringers. I wouldn't call them "dark blaster/scrappers" at all they have no melee. Warshades will gain more from shapeshifting, a peacebringer can handle its self fine in human form.

    [/ QUOTE ]

i disagree with that shapeshifting ws comment, I've been on team with an All Human PB & All Human WS (at the same time) and the WS handled itsself, tanked better (eclipse ftw) and kept itsself alive longer than the PB did. Course one could say the PB player is "rubbish" but both are highly competent players. Having seen both in action at the same time, im highly inclined to say All Human WS are VERY effective, and its the way for me.

    Purely a personal preference though
