So is a fix for COP.
wanna buy a bridge??

If you are referring to IoP...then QFT my brother.
All I can say is thank you. Thank you for ignoring us in Closed test when people cried foul over the concept of the market we have in place now. The IOs are nice, fun, and add something new. But many found the economy a mess and were quickly singled out as "trolling" the forums, or whatever. When we said it is gonna look like the mess in WoW in a few months, year or so, we were labeled as DOOM-sayers.
Now where are we? I can't email SG/Coalie mates and get replies at the low levels. I have to spend 25K on a "common" salvage and sell a "rare" salvage for 500 influence. Tech salvage is a joke in Heroes, purely imbalanced in supply and demand. Tech drops everywhere but magic is needed for the main bulk of recipes. CoV isn't far behind in this imbalance.
The list goes on, the spammers, the uber imbalance in some builds for pvp now, etc. All from IOs, but mainly, from the market where you get these IOs from.
And now TF/SFs are on the nerf train to Snafuville for the casual PUGs in this MMO life.
All from the economy. Just trace it all back to the heart of the problem.
Thanks.
Put caps on prices in the market and things all calm down.
Until then, here is to 45 mil to buy a recipe that requires 25 mil in salvage, or 65 mil to buy crafted (oo a bargain). We have now captured American economy in our MMO. WooT. And LoL, the recent change to TFs helps that influence peddler get more influence quicker, while the recipes will become even MORE rare if all the "doom-sayers" drop off from TF/SFs as this thread implies.
Fix the economy, not break the rest of the game that is suffering from it. -
Pros Great Content--promote writer/developer of missions/tfs. On second thought keep them where they belong...enhancing this game. Just allow casual wear for motivation to continue on.
Cons Huge pile of complaints about lag or other game play (ie. I can move etc but powers won't work properly). Waiting on initial surge of "new", once population dies down in zones etc will be curious to see if it gets better.
Thank you.
Oh YEAH.
===SPOILER ALERT===
We loved Hero1. Your decision with his fate was uncool. I haven't been this sad since they nailed Rorschach in the end. -
The winners did great, covered all the bases well. I rushed the story development in mine and seen the flaws, especially after reading some of the better stories put out there. I was really caught up in getting the screen shots and making them fit into the offered layouts. In the end I had fun, as did my family and friends online, making it. Which is part of the draw. I was even tempted to purchase the Hypercomics product until I uploaded and 75% of my text got jacked up. Eight revisions later and I had even less of a story and submitted it 'cause I was done...had a fork in me. But this was a great contest irregardless of a software snag. Hope to see another sometime this year. Maybe if I do buy the product Hypercomics will be inspired again. Huh marketing brainwashes me again...
Congrats to the winners and to the runner's up, I vote for you to be in the Scope, so the rest of us know as well and can enjoy your work. -
How are you able to rate the comics over on Hypercomics site? Anyone? I couldn't find any help in trying to throw some props to some deserving writers.
My entry since we are all show boating againTales from The Debt Brigade

OK my first request is off the mark for Melee...but I am dying for a gunslinger powerset. Six shooter, Lever action rifle, etc. Man even a lasso, for a HOLD. OK that felt a little weird getting all bold over a lasso... Veterans rewards could be spurs for 39 months
...
Another idea I had for a defensive set would be LUCK. Varying degrees of luck towards various attacks etc. -
Just adding my name to those who would like to see a runner's up list or honorable mention lists at the end. Hoping enough requests like this will get REDNAMES to run the suggestion up the chain of command.

Been away from this thread for a while...I am seriously thinking I should have put a 10000% more effort into my entry after seeing some of these great submissions. It was all fun none the less. _SPARKY_ took the lead I think...at least from what I have seen on this thread. Who knows what entries are out there we didn't see. Will be a riot to see the winners and I agree, a preview to the finals would be good fun as well.

I had 5 Tech wing recipes up for sale, and 7 Insect wings up for sale, and 14 Rocket boots.
Thanks for quick action here and live on Global as well Lighthouse. -

Tales From the Debt Brigade
Another one that is laugh out loud funny. "Serenity now. Serenity now." And loved the ending.

Thx for the vote! You made some great picks out of the crop. The judges will have a time of it for every entry on this forums page there are 3-5 more on Hypercomics site. I see why the winner won't be announced anytime soon. Good luck everyone!

Some good stories out there. I had a tough time squeezing my story into 8 pages as well. I understand why though, just think of all the reading the Devs have to do...lol.
-
I SAW IT. One of the best covers I have seen so far. Just seemed to be a nice balance and unique. The storyline...The pink dress was too much. What a hoot. This thread is getting fun, need more entries folks don't be shy.
-
ROFL good character development in DIT. OK folks don't be skeered lets see your entries...
-
OK I stopped worrying about winning, I am seeing some great stuff on Hypercomics--far better than my entry. But I had fun putting this together and my SG had a blast reading it. Here is my entry for gee whiz...

Full version of Adobe? Oh yeah I believe you should be able to...but I thought they wanted it in jpg format then? I have Adobe Photoshop (which rocks) ...maybe you can get a free trial and try that route?

Just to clarify (so I'm not TOTALLY missing something), the instructions in the contest specify that you can email your pdf or jpg entry in OOOOOOOOR post it on the hypercomic site.
Correct?
If so, just wanted to point this out since some people seem to be having trouble with this.

Many, MANY people (myself included) have had no luck with the PDF option. It isn't even offered on my trial version ("whited out" on the program, went to the progam company's forums page and found numerous posts reflecting the same problem). I have deleted and reloaded all options of the program numerous times (to include Ghostwriter) still only way I can publish is via Hypercomics upload.
As for JPEG...I guess you could screenshot it, edit it then compile all the pages into one...not sure of quality on that and positive the effort for it would be tedious. But still an option I guess.
Anyone else have any ideas on this issue? -
Ok following up on my post from last night...somehow got onto Hypercomics.com site and was able to register. Had some difficulty with my comic's font after it was up loaded, had to do a LOT of editing. The only way to do this is to make changes on original reload it to Hypercomics and delete the older version from the site. It was a slow load for me so I recommend patience in letting the site load etc. My finished version is posted but I am seeing some great comics out there so I am skeered to show it you all
-
I tried registering with Hyper comics on their site (so I can upload comic to their site...it is only option I have after downloading ALL the software)...they have a bot detector called Captcha that is all over Google as having issues. Anyways it is one of those programs you have to copy down a random set of letters. I copy them down but get error message stating I filled it in wrong. Emailed Hyper's site and am waiting on response. So no posting for me either as of yet.

Good point on range Serps, duly noted.
Having a lvl 50 grav empath on CoH and my plant thorns dom on CoV, I find any IMMOBILIZE is just a lim fac for express wins. Foes are not able to move but can continue to attack. There are times when this is useful (such as escape!) but in pvp not very often when the alternatives powers are so much better.
Vines is similiar to the grav mass hold, grabbing a crowd and locking them down. The difference I see with Vines is, though it does hold, the hold duration isn't worth the slots it will take to keep it in gameplay for me. I don't have any immobilize powers with great results thus far, without either of these powers in my plant build. That power type is a selection based on your particular style of play. In PvP I dont see the need for a slow charging mass hold in lieu of some the damage/debuffs/power pools you could take in its place (as well as the slots to make it affective). Just my thoughts for my build. -
Great post, I have some minor respec'ing to do and your guide will play into my build. I made a plant/thorn dom shortly after CoV came out. I have altitus from time to time and left him alone for a bit but have been playing him fairly regularly now. At lvl 32, he solos on relentless. I was working on my Siren's Badge and thus ended up being chased down being easy bait. I can say in a crowded fight in pvp, this toon will be a challenge to keep upright. Flying toons will defeat your ground defenses (ugh flying radiation defenders are surprisingly dangerous). Range is good slot option on -fly attacks if you wish to from afar to ground them. In a 1v1 fight you will be pleased at how well a "squishee" can hold your ground, the pvp tactics mentioned are spot on. I went to-to-toe with two ice tanks the other day. They slowly (see creeper and thorntrops) tried to chase me around my spirit tree while I peppered them with thorns. Funny thing about confuse, you slip on your own ice patch, I digress...I took leadership thinking it necessary (and planning on pve team based support) and so I am missing the two high damage attacks (see earlier comments on my needed respec). I feel leadership can be dumped as both pve and pvp benefit from my plant powers alone. I was planning on staying with the temp fly packs but I miss acrobatics so I will pick up SJ. Good work and solid points made. One last recommendation...if you are making a new toon with pvp in mind...Science and Mutant give great pvp perma-temps in sleeps/choking. Great for knocking off all those scrapper toggles.

I average three to five client crashes a week since issue 8. I had one client crash in 18 months before issue 8. Running 1 gig RAM, ATI x1600 256mb, direct x 9.0c, Intel 4 3.06 ghz. Everytime I go to log back on I get a 2.3 gb download/patch before I can log on again.
Also, Kheldians experiencing some awesome graphics glitches. Go to "squid" form and you fly with powers but do not show in form, rather as human. To all others in game, you appear in squid form. Click on SG costume settings AFTER going to a form, hit cancel on costume changes in SG, then hit jump or any of the a,s,w,d keys and get police shields, the vomit graphics from cov, shooting a gun movement, the teleport for mushroom mishes in croatoa, few more as well. Lots of fun but I am sure lots of issues. No one can see you do them, only appears for us on our comp.
