Pretty easily. I took Japanese language for four years so Akuma Ryu and Sakura Tenshi are pretty easily pronounced.
redside's easier since my main is named Redcoat. (no, he's not a british soldier) -
Quote:I just wish you got one A-list hero to come after you.The last mission is actually a bit tedious, but the Souvenir very cleverly saved the story, in my opinion. I liked the idea of being the end-of-the-TF AV for a group of heroes to fight.
i mean with all that stuff about Wyvern, that totally seemed like foreshadowing for Manticore to show up, or Longbow signalling the coming of someone from the Vindicators. -

For yet another example of changes to instanced mission maps, in a much more radical way, would be reorganizing them to make a bit more sense in terms of layout and interior, and while Sam and others might fear this can remove desire for exploration, I would like to bring up it's actually contrary, especially in the case of revamped content and possibly AE objective placements and in addition to an earlier post of mine that suggested both destructible and indestructible barricades.
But let's look at the kinds of rooms that one would be able to find in a fifth column, council, Arachnos, or Longbow bases:
-Prisoner Cells (already have them)
-Mess Halls (everyone's gotta eat sometime)
-Bathrooms/showers
-Firing ranges and armories (seen in the Arachnos bases)
-Sleeping/living quarters.
-Supply reception/storage
-Utilities (we may already have these)
And these are just the essentials for most self-contained bases, other rooms can include things like...
-R&D labs (doubly so with the Council and Column bases)
-Recreational rooms
-Officer's Private quarters
-Communications room
-Briefing/debriefing room
-Security office
and this list can go on for quite a ways, and these types of rooms could be designed to improve the bases of four commonly encountered foes. -

I wasn't say that she should feel bad about killing him.
I was saying he probably wouldn't feel bad about destroying the earth, and that killing him would be a lot more complicated than just destroying his robotic shell. -
Quote:Not exactly, GG.Wouldn't an intelligent supervillain try and take over the world rather than destroy it?
See, this is what happens when you don't pay attention in Super Criminal Psychology 101.
As heroes, we are faced with countless threats of many different worlds. The common human villain is most likely prone to wanting to take over the world in some form or another, as the world is usually their native home.
But consider that Techbot Alpha is a robot, and breaking it down further, a highly advanced and sophisticated artificial intelligence, and is likely programmed only with 'logic' processors, meaning Techbot's outlook on both life and the world he was built on is viewed with a cold, clinical view.
Added to this is the fact that, if he has an orbital weapons platform, it's likely he possesses a possible backup system, allowing him to exist in other dimensions or in more distant space locations, there may even be a 'mother' copy that continually is producing Techbot Alpha A.I.s for backup.
This is where my insight to you, as a vigilante, helps set your 'curing the symptoms' hero mindset, helps.
To properly destroy Techbot Alpha, you'd need to find the master control programs which would allow all Techbot Alpha A.I.s to communicate and maintain their digital hivemind, then you must locate the 'queen' that would be producing the A.I.s and destroy that. We may need to completely reformat the Internet itself as well to ensure he cannot have sleep programs within the global communications network. -
On the note of 'typed' enemies and what the game has...
We have Fey, which are affected by the Iron Sword and Rune of Warding from Croatoa. (They also only affect Croatoa creatures, the Tuatha, the Fir bolg, and redcaps, possibly the Unseelie too)
Also, the Ward of Purification Day job temp power effects all 'non-humans'. This also extends to the Tarantulas it seems. (Not sure about freakshow though, even though Tanks are at least equally mechanical as the tarantula units. also, anyone else find the unfortunate implications in it being called the ward of purification and it hurts non-humans? I'm sure some non-human members of the Midnight Squad must have raised hell about that.) -

I see, on a related note, does it at least stack with Tanker Bruising?

I have to /unsign this, but I understand where the OP's coming from when you CAN be oneshotted if you're using a -HP on self power.
Just hit Absorb or Share Pain? ONE SHOTTED! (This can be a bit acceptable, at least with defenders and controllers using Emp's AP and MMs using SP)
Used energy Transfer? ONE SHOTTED! (Although in this case, you really shouldn't have been using such a power against something that could one shot you in the first place)
Have oppressive gloom or ink aspect toggled? ONE SHOTTED! (This is where it can be kind of bad for people with those powers, especially since those who normally have them are the crunchier sort of ATs) -
Okay, so I have a ninjas/storm MM and I'm thinking of slotting Achilles Heel procs into my Freezing Rain and Jounin, the question is if Achilles Heel -res proc can stack from multiple casters (I know it cannot be stacked from the same caster)? And do MM pets count as different casters from the MM themself? (To add to this, does each pet count as a caster too?)

Quote:Well what about getting into a DBZ style beam-o-war with said killsat?I'm just disappointed that she even considered dodging the laser in the first place. Real Heroes would fly INTO the laser beam, to prevent it from striking the Earth. Not only that, but they would fly up the beam, smash though the weapon itself and straight through the guy operating it. ESPECIALLY in this case, where it's a robot running the orbital base, so she wouldn't even have to worry about explosive decompression.
Or maybe just blowing it up from the ground with enough dakka?

Quote:I wonder if they can also have their boolets update their blog on their 'arrest count'?However, I also know of more than a couple Assault Rifle Blasters over the years who 'wrote in' that they had the tags built into their rifle rounds.

So... not to get this thread back on track or anything...
But I'm going to have to join the party that assumes that not only does Sister Psyche know about Wyvern and Manticore's vigilantism, but actually does love him for it and helps guide him and his organization to keep them from attacking the wrong targets.
Like I said, Sister Psyche's seen the worst aspects of humanity in ways Statesman doesn't understand, she's touched the minds of the irredeemable, the insane, and those deviant in far worse ways than just a bondage fetish.
And with sister Psyche acting as a guide, it's possible that the rest of the Freedom Phalanx knows and accepts it.
So the only reason Statesman may not be spawning with Wyvern is because they don't go up to fifty.
(Strangely, none of their attacks deal toxic damage either) -
Quote:This is likely, unfortunately, though I still oppose the fact that my south American co-players do not know the wonder of the baron coat.Just out of curiosity if they sold the rights to these people, that means they have the rights. They would no longer be able to sell the packs legally without buying back the rights from these people if what you say is correct...no? So NCsoft can't do anything about it.

I would say "nuts to driving, I'm grabbing my travel power!"
I think we might also all bemoan the loss of our cars as they apparently begin to drive around themselves, aimlessly. Thank god the Public transportation would become more reliable, free, AND almost instantaneous! -
Quote:Point, to some extent.Yeah, behind the guns and so forth are people who chose to pick up guns, fire them at heroes and do villainous deeds.
And yeah, it sucks that Blackhawk 747's daughter may wonder why daddy won't be around anymore, but maybe Blackhawk 747 should have thought of that before he joined Malta and started working as an international terrorist.
Also, what about the Daughter's of innocents, scientists, or other civilians, who don't get to see their daddy's anymore because Blackhawk 747 came into a lab, killed the filing clerks and accountants to steal some piece of tech?
Sorry, but if bad guys don't want to be shot at and potentially killed by heroes, they shouldn't be badguys.
Now some heroes might still feel bad about it, but honestly Heroes are reacting to the choices that Villains made, they aren't responsible for the fact that bad guys do bad things and need to be stopped. . If Blackhawk 747 wanted to be a good daddy he'd get a job at an office Far away from Paragon city.
Issue 19's arc delves a bit into this, though I won't spoil it any further for folks.
Also, I feel the kick to the gut for villain players remains valid.
I mean, YOU'RE the one going all the way to Paragon city and killing cops. -

Quote:I recall reading in a bit of a fic piece (so technically not canon) that we used teleporter handcuffs.Actually, I was sure I'd read about something like that once - but I've never been able to find it - so I think that I must have just imagined it when I first started playing, and was trying to work out how the people we defeated got to the Zig
Though it's always made me wonder about what happens when you run out of those cuffs, or are we supplied with them through hammerspace? -
Admittedly, it can get annoying, and I think it's actually tier two that make the most noise, the tier three is silent to my knowledge (as a dignified Demon Prince would be), and the tier ones have a 'snortling' noise they make.
But I will say that it's not as bad as was back in beta where the timer was, literally, every five seconds, and the particle effects for the ember shield was out of control and a pair of them could lag rooms. -
Quote:okay, I'll respect your opinions, buuut... so that means Foglio's okay, right? No, thanks. I'd rather not deal with a game that constantly beats me over the head with "all Americans are Nazis, stupid, crazy, or all three" (that's Moore) or that spends 90% of the game on elaborate, meandering set-up, then tries to cram all the action into the last 1/10 of a level (that's Lackey, based on her novels. Sorry, not a fan).
