That's one thing that bothers me. We leave Praetoria where there's Resistance, Syndicate, PPD, TEST, Etc.
But when we return during the Maria Jenkins and Tina arcs, Praetoria only has IDF, things never seen in public before, no regular law enforcement, no sign of the Syndicate, and all Resistance members have a 'mind wash' aura that suggest they're already under Tilman's influence (possibly confirmed with the upcoming trial), and only the faintest signs of the Carnival of Light.
    What happened?
It almost seems like there's nothing left to fight for in Praetoria for the leaving Praetorian.

  3. Random suggestions:

    1. Uhhhh... OP, might wanna look over some of the power suggestions you list, some of them still are saying that radiation melee would do lethal damage.

    2. As something to wed both Sam and Leo's ideas, I propose that instead of just build up, you get Power Build Up like the Defender Epic. it also can be renamed and help fits the idea of radiation, perhaps call it "Self mutation"? (And seriously, what's the worst a scrapper could really do with ten seconds of having ally buffs, debuffs, ally heals, and controls doubled in effectiveness that would make it a game breaker?)
Edit: Especially since this would take up the Primary slot.

    3. One of the things I don't like about spines is how it's rather lacking in damage, perhaps there could be at least one power (maybe like: "Radiation Poisoning") that could be given to deal superior damage?

Why is it that powers that can define your character concept be ok as Incarnate only content, but costume pieces that define your character aren't? Are we venturing into "I'm ok with something as long as it doesn't affect me directly" territory?

Also, using what people do on Virtue is not a good example. Those folks are crazy
Perhaps, but she has a point. I am not a virtue heavy person (I'm a pinn man myself) but costumes are still fun to play with a very important part of what makes me keep coming back to this game.
I enjoy coming up with ways to tweak my Soviet Battle Bot's look every time new tech-pieces come out, when the mutant booster came out, I wasn't sure what I would use it for, and then when I found out, I was glad to have it from level one since i was able to make ChronoCrusade "Demon", and let's not get started on things like AE Custom Critter creation.
But maybe according to you, I'm crazy, and so is everyone in all those 'costume design' threads.

Admittedly, that was supposed to only be a preview of it.
  6. You know, one weird thought could be that she does know, and so does the Midnight Squad. The Midnighter Club you're entering is actually some kind of elaborate glamor and you're actually stealing fake artifacts.
Why Darrin Wade doesn't point this out, he probably just shrugs and accept that it's not your fault he forgot to consider the Midnight Squad upgraded its security measures.

ummm... Geko, have you read some of the other posts here? I think there's good evidence that it DOES annoy a decent number of people, or look up the old 'make costume parts globally unlocked' thread in the suggestions and ideas forums.

Maybe even later down the line we can summon the essences of previous Incarnates for the lore slot?
I'll summon Gilgamesh, we'll solo GMs together, and Ishtar will all be like "Take me now!" And we'll be all like "Pfffft! NOooo." And then we'll duo the Bull of Heaven trial.

Me I accept that there are certain rewards that I may never attain because of the content involved in getting them.
If you mean in relation to the costume pieces, then I would note that I'm actually against Vet reward costume pieces too. Not only have those locked some people from very cool costumes and themes (my samurai was not able to have his armor for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time), but it also means that Devs can't revisit the themes (outside of wings) for fear of angering people who waited for the Veteran rewards. (Frankly, I say open up all vet reward costume unlocks to all players and have the vet reward be a butt load of costume change tokens)

I actually would support this, though personally I'd prefer a history museum in Founders' Falls, given that it has historical value in Paragon City as well as it having a University.
And for some reason I could never get over the idea of Skyway having an Art museum, so... if Atlas did have a museum, I'd say it should be one of super-hero related.
But all in all I like this idea.

For other landmarks I'd like to see: convention centers (probably in steel canyon and Cap Au) and Super Fancy Luxury Hotels (Probably in Talos and St. Martial).

  11. Okay, DJ Zero's an Incarnate, I can accept that (god forbid anyone become awesomely powerful without the Well), but he's FAVORED by it?
That just seems... well... Contradictory, I mean DJ Zero's about as inert as most gases, why would the Well favor him?

Also, Incarnate unlocked costume pieces? HORRIBLE!
Just horrible! What were the Devs thinking?! Why are they doing this?!
  12. Anyone else notice the Gender-Bent fusionette at the 40 second mark of the I:20 trailer? that's really bothering me, i mean, having to deal with a Praetorian fusionette?!

  17. one possible guess is that the disguise potion to use does more than change your outward appearance.
notice how no one else in the Midnighter Club seems to notice anything amiss about you, especially given that Alister McKnight might have even told other Midnighters that he let the password slip to someone else.
And do remember that you're working with Darrin Wade who may also be factoring in the illusion.

    But that's not as funny.

Point, but part of me can't help but think sometimes the hero players should try these kinds of things..

I mean you can only punch out Frost Fire or Dredge so many times before you start to wonder if we're only attacking the symptoms of the disease of evil and not the disease itself.
You know, just maybe the Lost wouldn't be so lost if they had people who were there for them, provided meals, helped them find work, etc. etc.

Heroes can be caught offguard, or maybe not have time to get into their costume. We have Pocket D and Studio 55 for roleplaying, there are characters that aren't spandex clad heroes, that street clothing would suit, it would suit villains to for similar reasons.

Also, if street clothes 'aren't very heroic', then what the hell, Party Pack? How heroic is dancing like Michael Jackson, or bouncing a basketball?
You're not the only one, one thing I want to bring to attention of the Devs is that 'Hero' is a word that's changed and evolved since the beginning of humanity. Early heroes were only considered such because they had the power to get away with about anything they wanted, including ****. (See many classical heroes and gods)
It wasn't until later on that morality became an important aspect of heroes, and morality has also changed and evolved within the general consensus of humanity and can still seem very alien between cultures and even sub-cultures, such as the 47 Ronin.
Finally, in modern times, 'heroes' do not become heroes for their feats of strength or divine mandate, but by the strength of their hearts and the mandate of the people. They come in many shapes and forms, and in modern times, they wear street clothes too.
Nate, tell me Martin Luther King Jr. IS NOT heroic with an honest face.

Besides of which, heroes aren't the only characters people play, and villains also come in casual.
  21. Well, i'd probably learn to master this awesome power, because with great power comes the need for great control, less my godly-wolf-incarnate powers destroy everything.
  22. This reminds me of a funny story before GR came out, on the broadcast channels in steel I heard the following:
    "lvl 10 brute lft"
"A lvl 10 BRUTE in Steel?"
    "Quick, Everyone, gank the brute!"

Now see, Golden Girl, I've had this theory on that: I believe that nemesis isn't really using traditional steampunk, but he's cheating and only using steampunk aesthetics.
Though he might also still be using steam power in some form, after all, Reactors work on steam (technically and if I recall nuclear power function correctly)

Actually.... Yeah you kind of are since the clockwork who you buy enhancements from ARE called "vendors" (possible cousin of the defunct Clockwork class Bender).
But in all seriousness, I agree with you about the lack of explorable indoor areas, I mean the few examples Praetoria offers are quite awesome, like the auction house with those cool artifacts and such.

City of looks pretty good without it, and if its one thing I learned after playing Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Symphonia, it's that cell-shading does not always give things an artistic feeling.
