Are you not aware that many theater groups rewrite play to put their own take on them? Its not hard to imagine that someone would modify the play so that Ophelia's drowning would actually play out instead of it being mentioned only in monologue. Its not like she was suddenly killed by aliens or cooked long-pig style. If that was the case, then I might be able to understand your issue.
The OP is saying it's not right because Ophelia is made into Hamlet's sister.

Also, this isn't the first time the lore writer has fumbled. I mean, Bres was not considered a Tuathuan, even by himself, he was a Formian, he was a bad king to the Tuathua, and the only good he did was in some variations of the myth where Nuada spared his life (after declaring war on the Tuathua by teaming up with Balor) and he taught the Tuathua Agriculture.
Doesn't sound like much a king or a hero to his people, does he?

Take a little bit of Japan, a little bit of China and a splash of Southeast Asia and mash it all together!

Praetorians might make great badguys for this one.
So you want a crossover with Guild Wars and fight in Cantha?

Actually, a bit a fridge brilliance: That's because there IS NO Superhero genre!
Since super powers are reality, super hero or villain stories, or any stories that involved meta-humans would simply be categorized under broader genres such as those Aoleleb mentioned.
For example, we know City of Heroes to be a Super Hero MMO, but if the game was within it's own universe, it would be a modern action-adventure MMO.

Well, also not helped that the katana draws from the hip. Dual blades and Broadsword draw from the back, MM Dual Pistols draw from the under arms, regular DP draws from the hips, and assault rifle and Arachnos soldier gun are (somehow) drawn from the back.

In this world is a brilliant and ambitious toymaker who managed to live beyond his years built a little empire for himself in his homeland in Austria, improving the lives of its citizens and becoming a national hero. 15. not only that, but MM pets cannot use their powers any time they want, they too have end, and it's end pets can, and have been known to occasionally run dry on, with very little to restore said end besides feeding them blues.

    No, you're not.
Also, sorry but if you want them you need to run incarnate trials to globally unlock them and once you globally unlock them, only your level fifty characters can us them. I should note here that the "Incarnate Armor" is not exclusive to Incarnates, just exclusive to level fifty characters, so there's not even the claim that the Well is no handing out glowing pants.

Franky, I do honestly like the armor, but this is some series bull-jarate, the characters I want all that for are NOT level fifty, if it was simply a matter of "unlock once and then all characters can use it from level one" then I'd be fine, but the Devs seem to think that they can copy [A CERTAIN OTHER MMO] and their methods will translate well here.

Oh, and also locking emotes behind Incarnate content too is a right middle finger, but at least it's not the Party Pack. (Let us never speak of that tripe again)

Now that I've fulfilled my average b@#$% quota for this thread, I will say I am delighted by the new lore pets and do wonder if they'll have any difference in powers from the standard NPCs, partly because I could have sworn a few of the present ones have powers their actual enemy versions lack.
Also, kudos on the new auras, not sure or what- *Rereads that the new auras are also locked behind merits* ...

Okay... but, the AoE shield buffing is nice...

Seriously though, what is your beef? That there exists such a thing as an "Incarnate costume" at all, or that this particular costume is locked behind the trials? If it's the latter, well, work for it; that will make it all the sweeter! If it's the former, then I respectfully disagree; I think it's cool, and is an effective way at generating more excitement at dinging 50 and doing Incarnate content.

Yes sir, I like it. I like it a lot. I like the fact that not every level 1 schmo will be running around with this stuff on, that the devs understand that it's cool to have stuff in the game worth getting excited and putting in time and effort to achieve. I give it three thumbs up. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to call the police and report finding an inexplicably dismembered thumb. Gross, where did this thing come from?
alright, to play a bit against my own side, I'll agree with you for this post. But I ask you, would you want more of these Incarnate costume sets? More Costume sets that are only unlocked through grinding the trials? Trials that not everyone might be able to access? There are still some people who haven't gotten Going Rogue, you know.

But even after going through the trials, earning the merits, and unlocking the costume set for your entire account, it turns out that all of your characters still can't wear them until they hit level 50.

You have to jump through two incredibly time consuming hoops just to wear one costume set. A costume set I'm sure if you showed a picture of to Serge he could whip up out of metal and special hologram projectors for you to wear. It's a little ridiculous.
This kind of hits the points i was going to make. I mean, the only one I tend to not complain about is boosters since they seem to allow for Devs to actual consider niche costume piece themes and gains extra revenue.

Oh, I don't deny there's good stuff, the thing is, City of faces the parable "The closer to the light one gets, the greater one's shadow becomes" in this case, you replace 'light' with 'perfection' and 'shadow' with 'failures'.

The Devs have given us a good game, almost too good in some cases because every time they live up well to their standards (new auras, new lore pets, etc. etc.), they make one terrible failure that seems to blind out everything else, in this case, locking costume and regular emotes, as well as costume pieces, behind Incarnate content with a strict level requirement as well in a manner similar to another MMO's Epic Gear.
This is from a game where character customization is one of strongest selling points, that you can jump into any costume contest with a decent chance to win or make your character how you want them to look without having ground yourself through trial after trial and to the highest levels. But now, you apparently do.
  21. My reaction:

hmmm... New trials, cool, reducing grindfest... More Lore pets, great! New auras, awesome! New emotes, not bad. AoE buffs, lovely! Incarnate locked costume pieces.
    ...

Thank you Paragon Studios, you remind me that City of Heroes is a game that absolutely, stubbornly refuses to be perfect. Every time you take a step for the better, you insist on grinding the other foot into the ground and taking a step back. The incarnate armor, for all it's gawdiness, looks beautiful, and I can think of toons of mine who would love it who are far from level fifty.

I guess I see the point of this: you want something visible for players to show off "I'm an incarnate who's ground the trials ad nauseum!" because that's how the biggest MMO does it, and since they're the ones with half the population of the world sucked in, surely they're a good example to follow.

I won't cancel my account, but I do dare you to do more "purely aesthetic things locked behind incarnate content" and see how far you can push me.

    Call it Nakama!
Nakama! can only effect self and teammates including your pet's and their pets. The more teammates boosted by Nakama the weaker the indvidual buff is but the net buff is far greater with more receivig it then less. Does not stack from multiple casters.

Nakama should heal a little dmg, restore a little endurance, reduce endurance cost, increase the damage, the resistance and max hp of all effected

5 minute recharge ignores all buffs
Well if we're going for pure shonen and to work will villains too (who are almost always loner types in Anime) it should be "100%!" (You are now using 100% of your true power!)

Seriously though, it keeps bugging me how people think anime has a single, unified appearance aesthetics outside a vaguely defined art style.

Should be a fairly simple matter of just making sure that the right amount of power is redirected, which, knowing Keyes, would possibly be an automatic system as a failsafe to the reactors.
The Reactors are capable of producing an enormous amount of power enough to run Praetoria about three hundred times over, in theory, crippling it down to essential systems would not only damage the portal tech power, but cripple the warworks production facilities.

Golden Girl, you and your team have your objectives. Take those reactors out before the Federal Offices of Interdimensional Immigration gets another deskload of paper work.
