Description:A Treasure Chest contains the key to a world that shouldn't be.

Very weak discription really but I couldn't think of something better at the time. Generaly... Your missions are given to you in the form of letters or notes depending on what you want to call them. It show Custom as enemies because I wanted their group names to be specific and/or I wanted certian enemies to be in the group without me having to make them all. It can cover all level ranges to a certian extend but the bosses are not lowbie friendly.

If you play at max difficulty, last mission boss is AV instead of Elite Boss.

I will check out your arcs in the evening when I'm not at work posting messages when I shouldn't be like i'm dowing now @_@...

I'm gonna take a look at your arc Tomorrow Beach. I need sleep..

18503 - So, You want to be a Villian?

You have any specific level range for that? Characters I level so high tend to be respec so I can use them easier at those levels so if it's best for low level characters I can do it without worrying.

I just need to stop reading the boards long enough to get to bed >_<...

    Three Missions

I really need to find out what happened to my copy of Microsoft Word...
  5. [ QUOTE ]

Ooops, didn't realize there was a 4th mission. I thought I read that there were 3, so....

Mission 4: I like having the 3 EB's in the last room and they seemed like a fair challenge. However, having 2 EB's fighting with me made them pretty easy to beat. Not that I am really complaining, just pointing out a 'balance' issue.

I'll stick with my 4 star rating, and suggest you tighten up the story.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, the two elites are ment to help fight off the three 'Archvillian' level bosses. What I had forgotten was that non-custom AV's scale down to Elite Bosses.

The one primary warning I can think of is my spelling and grammer might be illigal in 12 states. @_@

    I hope it's not horrible.

    [/ QUOTE ]

OK, doing it again with my ill/rad, challenge level 2

Mission 1: Lucky for me both bosses were near the front. Unlucky for me the second aggro'd when I engaged the first. I survived. Great first mission.

I understand that ninjitsu is bugged as well, but I don't know how exactly. I know it does make this mission very difficult.

Misspelling: within (twice) strength (twice), influencing

Mission 2: Paragraph 2 of the introduction to this mission is missing a few words and reads a little weird.

Normally I hate being exemped down, but this was a small map with a manageable EB at the end, so it didn't bother me at all. I think it took me to lvl 32?

Mission 3: The story is a little disjointed. I know that I am saving the children, but not sure why the bad guys want the children, and why I am helping this woman.

Anyways, I have real mixed feelings about this mission. There are a ton of objectives, and half of them I don't know why I am doing it within the story. I understand saving the children, but who is in the body bags and whats with the artifacts?

I also knew I would miss one of the 11 glowies. I was able to locate it pretty quickly though.

Its a pretty good effort. The story is the weakest part. There is a good story in there, you just have to make it come to life. That is not my strong suit, so I can't really help you there.

    4 stars.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hmm... that gives me somethings to think about. Thank you very much. Now that know what holes I need to fix I can think of something.

I also hope I will remember to reload Word Perfect onto my computer. (new machine)

    Thank you for the help.

    [ QUOTE ]
I hear there is a bug with Ninjutsu, can you tell me what that is specificly?

I'm assuming it has something to do with the damage they do?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ninjitsu gets a damage buff to "simulate" a stalker hitting as it comes out of stealth.

The problem is that the damage buff is NOT supressing after an attack (meaning, it's always on), and it's not flagged as unique, so it self-stacks. So if you attack a Ninjitsu mob right as you enter the mission, they'll only do a bit of damage. A few seconds afterwards the buff will have stacked a second time. Then a third. Then... Until they reach the 400% damage cap.

    Very ouchie

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh crap.... I'm suddenly glade I didn't make bosses with Ninjutsu @_@....

  9. What level do you play on Beach?

Wanting to know because the last mission of my arc features two elite boss allies and three AV bosses that fall under the game rules meaning they will show as Elite bosses unless you meet the conditions.

That and do tell me when you get around to it... I got some typo's and missed words. I never noticed to clean up to the limit of my abaility. You may know notice what I missed grammaticly.

It's going to take me a bit to go through all of these but I'm looking forward to it at the same time.

    Hmm...

I think I'm going to have to write this all down as a list.
  12. Figures maintanace would pop up.

A day later, I thought I saw everything so I pick a toon to play me arc. Then I noticed words I thought were there arn't and letters for some reason spelled a diffrent word.

I hate when it happens but have you ever had a word so drilled into your head that when you put down the line you wanted, it wasn't there the next day though you could have sworn you wrote it down?

Just one of those things you don't see at the beginning but next day and the rose colored glasses dun faded away and you see clearly now the rain is gone. Err... *cough*

    Has that happened to anyone?

I think the lowest max is 34 on the second mission but don't quote me on that because I should be sleep right now resulting in fuzzy sickly memory.

  17. To be specific. Hero themed MA for new characters and up.

Course to be fair, I would say Villian themed as well.

Reason I ask. It would be a little weak but it's an alternative.

The alternative being, I don't want to be the FREAKING BAD GUY!!!

I like the ATs but being restricted to Villian Access only... unless I play half concious while ignoring every single bit of dialog, interaction and everything at the same time beat myself with a stick the moment I note I'm starting to read. I'm still going to be stuck being the evil greedy, self centered, murdering, thieving bad guy.

I'd like to reduce the amount of lying to myself required to enjoy a character I play.

    Switching Sides

    [ QUOTE ]
I vote no. Again. And again and again and again. If you want a villain, make a villain. If you want a hero, make a hero. RP it however you want.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    O_o

    Umm...

What if you want a Stalker but don't want to be a villian?
What if you want a Tanker but don't want to be a hero?

That's kind of the issue. No ammount of rp is going to change the fact that heroic Stalker you have is automaticly a villian and you won't be able to hang out with your friends on hero side, join their supergroup, etc, etc...

When someone says just get a scrapper and give them stealth/invisibilty. You don't have a stalker, you have a scrapper with stealth/invisibility.

You feel like having a piece of chicken for lunch. Why would you pick up that bit of ground beef shaped like a piece of chicken instead? Because you can season it like you would piece of chicken?
  19. I have one question...

Is it possible to set up An AV level critter that works like a Nictus Crystal?

  21. <ul type="square"> TF/SF Clear All Suggestions[*]A: Link Area Spawns - Acheive aggro or defeat one spawns triggers an alert that sends every mob withen a certian are to that spot.[*]B: Enemy Morale -Unique Boss/Objects- fairly empty maps with small scattered spawns. One spawn containing the Unique Boss acts as the trigger unless Object related. Object related starts the ambushes when room containing one is entered. Defeating the boss cause em to disapear and return in an ambush after 10 seconds. As long as the faction has morale, the boss will contiously respawn on defeat with an ambush. Morale is depleted as enemy faction is defeated or objects of emportance are destroyed.

Once Morale is empty, enemy no longer 're'spawns and remaining run away.
[*]C: Enemy Morale -Battling Factions- Simular to B however two or more factions actively fight against each other only attacking player when interfeared with or closer then the enemy. Also, the fighting factions regain morale by gaining defeats. There are no objects. (unless there are supporting mobs that are helping you. Then they would stick around until certian objects are destroyed. )

Once more, once morale is empty, the remaining run away for that faction.
    [/list]
Important to note: When I say boss is defeated and it returns. I'm talking the named/unique boss alone. The spawn it came in doesn't matter. You defeat that boss, it will return with more regardless of the condition of the spawn it came in. That means if you target only it, you could end up getting overwhelmed by a rapidly growing mob.
  22. Actualy, if you think about it, holes in the warwalls would be fairly logical.. ok.. to me atleast.

Consider how many villians tend to get around so easly in PAragon City. There has to be ways they are doing it.

An ID 'Mask' might bet what is needed so they can get around some things to avoid detection of sort.

Vigilantes sound like they would get on the bad side of someone or already be on the bad side of someone so wouldn't that mean that random times someone or some group specialized in hunting down these rogues in an effort to send them back where they came from ... arrest or capture them.

What about Vigilanty Contacts that help keep you under the radar as long as you preform certian task for them. Not really a requirement but would add a story element I would think.

"I know you were trying to avoid it but you built up quite the reputation in 'Orgin here'. Certian people won't like that you suddenly decided to show your face around here. Maybe, I could keep them off your trail for a while. You know, a few false leads, an eye withness report from the blind man on the corner. I just need you to handle a problem for me. Nothing bad I assure you."
  23. If it's the same Task Force you already completed, 24 hours I beleive till it resets for full reward. If its diffrent Task Forces then you get full reward both. For all the the Task Forces you do, a second run through before the 24 hour cool off will net half the reward for that task force.
  24. I have a question.

Where is the line between enjoying the game and hanging on to a loose thread?

I ask because at times, I will tell my brother what arguments are being thrown around and what developers are doing. I honestly say, my brother would likely end up on alot of ignore list easly yet at the same time what he says rings true. I wil note that he is not fond of the developers for this game.

I mentioned the comment concerning a game I won't mention here about hating their constantly raising the level cap and his response to it which I shall paraphrase was "Oh wow, they a reason to play the old maxed character. HOW DARE THEY!" Yeah... the sarcasem there required a saw just to cut through.

Course adding to it was the statement of all the hard work going down the drain when they raise the cap. His answer to that one was along the same lines of more to do/another challenge.

Personaly speaking and simular but diffrent in reguards to my brother. We both in the near four years, three and a quarter more or less years of playing this game only have one level 50. His and mine collect dust at this point but we still play everyone else and make new characters and we arn't tired of going through the content. We like the characters we make, start taking them through the things we done alot as is and its still enjoyable.

Going on personal thoughts. Complaining about grinding for items in 'unmentioned' game then turning around talking about running the same apparently easy/quick taskforces to get that/those certian IO's sounds alot like grinding to me.

The one post I saw mention how much enjoyment player gets from tweaking their character and how they wouldn't have touched certian powersets if they couldn't tweek them makes me wonder why 'unmentioned game' is so offensive to them with it's grinding when you could/can do the same thing there.

The only thing I could think of there was because it's just far easier to do it here.

I don't mind merits, my brother thinks its stupid. Course he thinks alot of things that have been done are stupid and has absolutely no problem mention them. I did ask him once if he would post on the boards and the basic answer was that it would take too long and he would likely be ignored or banned.

Funny story depending on how you look at it.

We were both once in a super group that was a decent group. The thing is one of the leaders was a tyrant or a dictactor or power drunk. I honestly don't know the term. They had website with forums and my brother ends up in an arguement with said person. A needless arguement and at the time people were siding with the guy dispite brother making good points in arguements. It couldn't contiune because the guy kicked him out the forum group so he couldn't contiune. YET he was still in the supergroup. For months he was still in the supergroup but not the page... if my brother joins a Supergroup, you will have a member that will stay there till you kick him. He won't quit, you have to kick him. Even if he has to tell you to kick him which is what he ended up doing.

Year later, one of the other leaders contacts my brother. Yeah, group disbanded because said person was acting the part of a dictator. Yeah brother was right but apparently it took a year for the guy to get on everyone elses nerves.

Me, I was out the group because I got on to a play spree with like 9 other characters and didn't come back to the characters that were in their group till like 4 months later.

And I think I just derailed my own train. That was fun...

    err.. yeah... orginal question.

Where is the line between enjoying the game and hanging on to a loose thread?
