I strongly suspect the answer is lone bosses, combined with many of the same strategies we have here. Yeah, it's not nearly as fast, but at low levels bosses die pretty fast and each gives several % of a level in one kill.

    Any thoughts?
There is a great one out there for single target characters called "Sooth". It has nothing but single boss spawns on a large out door carnie map. It had rezzers though so hopefully the author updated them to not rez.
  2. I guess I'll message support. I just didn't want to do that if it was a known issue.

Hopefully they'll get it worked out sooner rather than later.
What made three extra enhancement slots "game-breaking"?

I'm not trying to say that they didn't but I would be curious as to what was found..
  4. I seem to recall that there was an issue a couple of weeks ago preventing them from issuing Paragon Points with the billing of your account. For some reason I thought they had this resolved, my account billed today and I didn't get any Paragon Points.

    Is this still a problem?
  5. Aggelakis,

You have been totally awesome!!!! Thank you a ton!

I think that answered all but:

What your saying is if they aren't subscribed to the invention system then they won't receive salvage or recipe drops from defeats. Correct?

I thought they changed the TO/DO Drops so that once you got past say 12 it would become rare to get a TO. At 22 it would be rare to get a DO and say once you got to 30 you would never see a TO/DO drop again.

My levels in the above example are completely made up, but I think you will get the gist of it.
  7. For those that might need it I did find this link which has a side by side comparison but it didn't answer some of the more detailed information I wanted: http://na.cityofheroes.com/en/news/f...cho.php#tabs-4
  8. Couple of more questions.

I see all these +2 Salvage +1 Recipe Bonus'.

If a premium player has access to +2 Salvage is that 2 Salvage Total or does their salvage storage still increase further based on level and badges?

I noticed the drops don't seem to change past Tier 1, do premium players get salvage and recipe drops, or is that part of Invention System subscription?

What are they supposed to do with these drops if they don't have access to Auction House or Invention System?
  9. Oh, then that is exactly how I initially thought it would work.. Sweet.. Never mind about it stinking.. LOL

Premium Players who were subscribers prior to Freedom launch will gain a variable number of reward tokens based on previous paid subscription time. This is a one-time grant and takes place at Freedom launch.
So it should have 11 which puts the account in tier 5 and two months away from having the tier 5 bonus.

Out of the gate that account will have access to:

    Character Slots: 2 + Purchased/Earned
    Chat channels available: ALL
    Influence Cap: 2 Billion
    Super Group Access: Enabled
    Mail System: Enabled
    Player-to-Player Trading: Enabled
Mission Architect Access: Yes /w Rewards
    Reward Merits: Yes
    Vangaurd Merits: Yes
    Largest Inspirations: Medium
Auction House Access: Yes /Lifetime +1 Slot
    Salvage: +8
    Vault: +6
    Recipe: +3
    Auction House: +1

If I pay for two more months it will add:

    Mastermind Access: Yes
    Controller Access: Yes
    Salvage: +3 (+11 Total)
    Vault: +3 (+9 Total)
    Recipe: +2 (+5 Total)
    Auction House: +1 (+2 Total)

It looks like I would have to hit Tier 7 to actually have access to the invention system. Otherwise I will need to buy that monthly. Yuck. At least I can use this account to invite my own characters to my SG.. Yay, no more need for those crazy things called friends.
  10. So if I would have subscribed for the one month that freedom went live I would have had it all converted. That kinda stinks..

But just so I am clear, according to the chart I should have 9 or 10 Paragon Rewards issued to me for being a 24 month sub?
  11. Ok so my search fu feeling weak, because I haven't been able to find what I am looking for.

I have a secondary account that my wife used to play that has 2 years of paid time on it. Will this account start as premium with 2 years worth of Paragon Rewards?

If the answer is yes what features will this account have access too. I recall there being an official guide that Paragon Studios made on their site, but for the life of me I can't seem to find it.

    Any help is appreciated.
  12. All I can tell you is why I have never made one.

Phantom Army can't be buffed, thusly you will get very little use out of Fulcrum Shift. Also your Phantasm likes to stay at range so it may be difficult for him to benefit from Fulcrum Shift as well.

You will benefit teams greatly though, I just wouldn't expect stellar solo performance.

I just wanted to drop a note and publicly express my thanks for this software. Half of the fun I have with this game is day dreaming power set combinations in Mids. So a big thanks!!!

Thanks for taking the time to do that, I tend to be too much of a negative Nancy to ever bother bugging things. Figuring someone else already has and they just aren't listening. Probably stems from my years of working in telephone tech support where customer complaints go largely unheard.

    +1 x 1,000 I would love to see this.

In other news, I expressed on the last Ustream marathon that I believed Granite Armor could be made customizable. I'll be devoting some of my free time to exploring this possibility. The trade-off would be that the Devouring Earth model is done away with, and replaced with a more generic-looking model that is placed over the character's body, similar to the rest of the Stone Armor powers.
I don't care if the model changes, but I think the fact that you change into a huge rock monster really makes the set shine. So as long as you leave some options to have models that are huge like the current stoney I am fine. There are a huge number of players out there that use stoney's size change as a core concept of their characters. So if you took the size change away I think you would get a lot of flack.

I could see Granite Armor having the following options.

    Crystal
    Lava
    Stone

    Crystal Huge
    Lava Huge
    Stone Huge

I am not that familiar with all of stones customizations, so if I missed any fill in the blanks as needed. The first set would be more standard sized models, the second set would be sized to match the current size of Granite Armor.
  16. I have a DP/Rad Corruptor that plays great as a hover toon. I pretty much take hover on every non-melee character that doesn't have powers that requires me to be on the ground to animate. I can say in my experience that it plays great from hover, not so sure I am happy with Rad as a secondary.

Energy is pretty much still the best secondary for any blaster I have played, Mental comes in a close second for me. For Dual pistols Mental would have the advantage of being able to soften up the crowd with Psychic Shockwave then hit-em with Hail of Bullets. But I usually find that the extra AOE from mental isn't needed (except on sets with anemic AOE [sonic]) and I would much rather have access to boost range and power boost.
  17. Sweet, I'll give it a try. I just saw a bunch of talk in the beginning that Time was going to be a waste on an MM.

Second follow-up question. Which would be stronger in the long run Ninjas/Time or Necro/Time? My primary concern being damage output.
  18. OK, I am considering giving Ninja Time a shot. The only MM Secondary I have found that works well with Ninjas is Dark and FF. FF has always been too boring for me and Dark, whiled it worked great I just didn't want to do dark again.

Will time be able to compete with dark for survivability on these squishy jerks or will I forever be Ninja-less?

    Store Suggestion

I have to admit I feel like the store is one of the most poorly implemented interfaces I have ever seen. Just for giggles I went to the other super based MMO that went free recently to check out their store and here's what I noticed.

    * Option to hide items already owned.
    * Hide items available to gold subscribers.
    * Store interface is quick and responsive.
    * Much better detailed descriptions so you actually know what you are buying.

I know I am a pessimist but, I highly doubt sending in a bug report is going to do anything. I mean for freaks sakes it took them how long to make it non-interruptable with a shorter cast time and they didn't even bother to check to see if it was castable from hover/fly. They probably didn't want to waste their time on making an extra animation for hover. You know because I am so sure it would be really hard to make it use the animation for Robotics summon.

I thought I was going to be really excited about this issue, so far it has been a lot of disappointment. I gave a bunch of feedback on things, things that a lot of other people made similar to exact comments about in beta and its like they didn't bother to listen.
  21. Its amazing that Devices users have been so beaten down over the years that they don't even bother testing it when its on test. I know I didn't, because I am sure my pessimism already knows the answer. Probably not.
  22. Did anyone find out if it can be cast from Hover?
  23. Any chance they made it castable from Hover?

Funny thing is, the first day I did this mission I ran it back to back for about an hour no problems at all. Now all of a sudden poof, its gone to crap on me.
Just thought I would post an update. I found a thread talking about crashes and what not in Technical Help and some one recommended turning off vertical sync, and sure enough I was able to complete several runs in a row with no crashes. Crossing my fingers but I am pretty sure that fixed it.
  25. I would also like to confirm that turning off Vertical Sync fixed the crashing for me as well...
