Quote:Could not agree more, though I do miss Liv a great deal.Although I remember running one or two of these things with Living Hellfire, when I reflect upon the Golden Age of the Saturday Matinée, I will always be thinking of the events that you organized. Thanks for the Saturdays, Darkbridger.
Thank you for so many great memories DB! -
Now that I've had a chance to test this, here is my feedback:
Like others, I'm not so crazy about the "baked in" colors. In particular, all the gold buttons. I know brass/gold are Steampunk stables, but this really limits the versatility of some of these pieces. And not being able to change the color of male characters' hair is just awful. Please fix that before you send this live.
Secondly, I don't like the muted effect some of the pieces have. For instance, my Arch/Dev Blaster has white hair. When I use the Steampunk hat on her, her hair looks grey. There is also a muted effect with the bra-like chest option, and it makes matching it with other things rather difficult.
I do not like that the chest pieces clip so horribly with trench coats on female characters. This is another change I'd like to see made before it goes live.
The gears, clock faces, and winders should all be animated. They look flat and boring as they are. Adding the animated steam, and sound effects, to the back pack is great, but you need to take that a step farther.
And speaking of taking this a step farther - I really hope this isn't the end to Steampunk additions. I would love to have Steampunk options for Devices and Traps, as well as Steampunk weapons for Claws and Archery. Furthermore, I would love to have Steampunk options for my Robots Mastermind, and we sorely need some Steampunk armour. We have had an incomplete set of Steampunk armour for seven years now, and I'm disappointed that you didn't take the opportunity to correct that. I would also like some Steampunk piston boots that are fully animated, have steam effects, and appropriate sound effects. -
Missi, you are super awesome for taking this over! I'm sorry I wasn't able to join you guys yesterday, but I should be there this coming week!

I'm really sorry to see this happen. I'd take it over myself, but I'm not in a position right now to commit every Saturday (or Sunday, which is why I stopped doing the Sunday Special).
Hope all is well Bridger, and take care. Thank you for so many great TFs. -
What? Seriously? Why does it kick off at all? Ninja Run and Beast Run don't. If this is a paid for travel power, it should be a toggle like the others. Having a 30 second duration makes it go from "awesome" to "meh" in my eyes.
-
Can ya'll post more pictures? I'm stuck at school all day today >.<
Also, are we ever going to be able to customize hair with hats? I love the classic top hats we have, but hate how short it makes my female characters' hair. -
Quote:I agree, the bug was way easier than running it 3 seperate times for the Mo badge.
Yes and yes. The bug made it so much more tolerable. I ran through it three times tonight to help Merm, and once after to help Ally and Bridger (though that one wasn't successful, sadly), and it's an unfun grindfest. The whole thing is poorly planned, poorly designed, and poorly implemented.
And don't get me started on how the in-game directions do not match the actual requirements AT ALL. -
Arwen Darkblade, level 50 Claws/Invuln Scrapper. I'm a Vigilante, so either is fine. Though the Villain side one is much, much faster. I can also stay for a few runs, as I'm still working on that 50 assists badge. >.<

I don't know why this isn't more obvious to the CS people here. I have worked in customer service jobs before, and would have been fired had I talked to a paying customer the way I've been talked to here. I can honestly say, with no sense of exaggeration, that this is the worst customer service I have ever had (and I don't mean just on this issue, but in total).
-
It was total sarcasm. I'm sorry you took offense.
-
-
Same here, Nup. Between this and another (personal) issue I have with CS, I'm fed up. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer.
-
In addition, I don't think any one is going to find too many warm fuzzy feelings about the game around here right now. Probably not the best time for a contest, or at least, probably not a good time to bring this to Justice.

Quote:I already discussed this with Brax earlier, but wanted to point out here that if he is right, I'm even more annoyed as that information is also nowhere to be found in game. I know, I know. Shock, gasp, clutch the pearls.2 cents here. I 've been thinking about our MoLambda run today while brewing over the reward table debacle, and there may have been a way that we actually did fail it.
One of the spots that Marauder jumps to has an Molecular Acid capsule spawn right next to it. With all the AoE madness that was happening and possible uncontrolled pets (Lore or otherwise) the capsule could have easily been destroyed, giving a random person on the map a temp, which would fail the mission.
Now if said person wasnt paying attention, they may not have noticed that they got an extra temp power. -
Quote:I would normally agree, but right now my will to play is pretty much zero. I have limited play time these days as is, and I'm not in the mood to do what I've already done and should have been rewarded for in the first place.Well, if the badges are supposed to be awarded for not using any grenades at any time, I think the best thing would be to hurry up and go for the badge that awards all three before they fix it. Personally, I don't feel like spending all that time and effort going for the same badge three times (which is basically what they are).

Quote:Me, too. I'm paid through June, and will (might?) hit my 7 year mark in August. At this point, I'm honestly not sure what I'm going to do. As I stated in my correspondence to CS and Black Scorpion, this is the first time in 7 years that I truly feel unhappy by how I'm being treated as a player and customer. I feel let down, and I feel like the people who should care about this, don't. It's a very funny way to do business.Anyway, this particular trick on their part may be the beginning of the end of my 7 years as a paying customer. I just don't have the energy to be so frustrated over stuff like this anymore. It does no good since debating valid points with support is similar to arguing with a brick wall.
Quote:Well, I'm not going to attribute this to either malice or intentional deception.
Quote:Add to that the consistently inconsistent and unfair balance in the reward tables and you get an Issue that should have spent a few more weeks on the drawing table IMHO. They deserve all the customer dissatisfaction they can stomach...
Quote:Sorry to hear that all of you worked so hard to meet the criteria listed in game only to find that either they are changing the criteria since it was too easy to do before or that the in game information about it was actually wrong. Especially sorry to hear that you appear to have met the requirements for one of the badges and it wasn't awarded.
I was going to leave last May when my subscription came to renew. I was encouraged by some good friends to stay, and now those same friends are now talking about leaving. It's sad that when a lot of long-time players leave it'll be chalked up to "burn out." I am not burned out. I like playing this game, and honestly wish I didn't like playing it so much as it would make it easier to walk away. If I am burned out on anything, it's the increasingly poor treatment that players are receiving, the increasingly poor design choices (especially those that mirror the juggernaut of the MMO world that shall not be named here), and the shrinking levels of transparency and communication we have with the dev team. -
My major points of contention are these:
1 - We did everything exactly at it is stated in game. This information we are now receiving is nowhere in the game, and is news to us all.
2 - Since the vast majority of players never visit the forums, a situation acknowledged and discussed on the forums by devs and community team leaders alike, then the in-game descriptions are where that vast majority is going to look for clues, guides and directions to completing objectives. As of a couple of hours ago, post today's hot fix, the badge prompts are still exactly as I posted above.
3 - Since that in-game information is, apparently, wrong the onus is on the devs/GMs to make right on what happened. You can't tell someone they're "doing it wrong" when you give the wrong directions. -
I need to pieces of very rare salvage to craft my final very rare Incarnate powers. I keep trying to vary my participation, and nothing seems to help. I'm stuck on an uncommon loop.
-
Quote:Red, I don't want you to think that my agitation has anything to do with you. I know you're just repeating what you heard in an effort to get as much information together as possible, which is something I am very grateful for and appreciate! I'm just annoyed (among other feelings) by the severe lack of clear communication and the disconnect from the directions players receive in game and what we're hearing now. Like I told you the other night, this isn't a case of shoot the messenger. I appreciate what you're doing.Just going to shut up now & see what support decides. Probably should have done this from the beginning.
Saw the conversations from the Badge section that Arwen must have been talking about. I can see her frustration in that some are getting the badge & others aren't for doing the same dang thing. At this point, it seems it doesn't matter what the game says the requirements are, or what the requirements are supposed to be because they don't work anyway!
And then when I get home, I'm going to go out & smash me some BAF or Lambda or tip baddies. RAWR!!!
And yes, I'm quite frustrated. Our League got cheated. Simple as that. -
And those of us who did get a response got an impersonal form letter.
-
Quote:Thanks. Several of us are keeping the petitions going, and so far no luck. We did everything exactly like many others have stated doing who DID receive the badges, so who knows. It's all very screwed up and exasperating.Yes we know that the acid/pacify badges seem to be incorrectly linked together as in you have to get them all at once during one run or you get none of them.
But if you had a situation where you should have gotten them all in one run and didn't then you've either stumbled upon another related bug or something else happened in your unique situation to cause the badges to not trigger. Like Ironblade mentioned I was just on a league late last night that earned the MoLambda so apparently it's still possible to get in this current software build.
I guess if I were in your situation I'd petition it and see what happens. Chances are the GMs won't be able to help you but you never know. Good luck. -
Quote:I could not agree more with Ally on this.Red, I definitely appreciate your efforts to post this detail here for us but my argument remains the same on this. We fulfilled the requirements exactly as they were stated in the game. In my opinion, listing extra detail in support article #eleventy billion (that most of the population didn't read) wouldn't really reinforce their position adequately enough to make me accept that decision. So...let's just hope they're taking the time to honestly evaluate our issue here.
Also, there are people in the badge section of the forums claiming to have received all three badges (and thus the Mo badge) for doing exactly what we did. That, more than anything, reinforces to me that we got screwed. -
I'll be out of town on Saturday. Have fun!
