  1. The reason for that is our group page is using the old group page style. The new Facebook group page has chat and other tools. Soon, we will be migrating to the new version. I am a member of CoX and have contributed to their page as well. The more the merrier.
  2. Noire, this group page was around prior to the creation of the CoX group. I was handed the reins over this group page over a year ago and have been administering it ever since.

Mental, Busta had it on one of his alts so that is out of the way. Only one left is IP and BB has it for me. Thank you.

Didn't get a chance to get on the game last night. Had a DVR night with the misses. She is getting me to watch "The Event" and we watched SGU (which I will totally miss, because I love the show). Oh well, if I catch you online tonight, I'll send you a PM and if you are not up to anything then maybe you can lend me a hand.
  5. A little late in the monthly update, I totally forgot to do this on Sunday and Monday was a blur.

So, we gained 10 new members this month, pushing up our membership to 233.
Welcome to all the new members. Looking forward to seeing more new faces join the ranks in May. Next update, June 1st.

Thanks again to everyone who has lent a hand in this endeavor. Just got one to go and hopefully I'll catch Blood Beret on tonight after another exciting episode of "The Event" on NBC.
  7. Healthy and constructive discourse is always good to have. Good points and counterpoints have been made on this issue. In the end, it's all about personal pride in the achievement. Doing the old-fashioned way (pre Incarnates/turning off Incarnate abilities) is harder and gave/gives one a sense of satisfaction and pride to be able to accomplish the Mo run in question. While the Mo runs today with Incarnate abilities might be easier, it's still an team effort/tactics that are ultimately necessary to achieve the Mo.

Many of the folks that have posted on this topic, I have had the pleasure of running a Mo with. You are all great players who know your characters and how to play them. This is the reason that Guardian is and always shall be my home server. Quality players always make a difference!

I was on until about 10PM EST, my wife was not feeling too hot, so I went to be early. Perhaps tonight if you are on and if you still have the mission?

    Thanks again, Blood!

Blood, I'll be on tonight, so if I see you on and you are not doing anything else in-game, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll run those paper missions with you to help expedite the process. Or, whenever you are on and not busy, any help with the mayhem mission will be extremely appreciated.

Thanks, Mental. I know Busta had one coming up, but for the life of my I don't remember which. I should be on this evening after around 8PM EST (as I have to make dinner for the misses and prep dinner for the furballs 3).
  11. Willow, those vets like yourself and myself (and many others) can take solace in the fact that the badges we have were earned prior to the deployment of the Incarnate abilities. I for one am happy to have earned all of these thanks to great teams and leadership as well as players working together in a challenging environment.

The only Mo badge I am missing from the original ones is Statesman and once I go back to blue, I really want to get this one done and out of the way. Hopefully, I can do it the old-fashioned way. Either way, unless we start slapping asterisks all over the place, or as Kay has suggested a new set of badges for pre-Incarnate and post-Incarnate Mo runs, all we will have is the pride in the accomplishment of doing the Mo run sans Incarnate and a +1 level shift.

From the Rikti monkeys, to the healing badges, etc. there has been a need to reduce these goals to make them more attainable to the majority of folks. I don't agree with it, but it is what it is. I understand your disappointment, sadly and hopefully one day the Devs might correct this.

I just wanted to thank Capa, LadyWillow and Busta for helping me out in acquiring these badges for my hero badge toon. I am grateful to have such great friends in-game to help out (and if you all ever need anything, you just let me know).

Guardian is the BEST and that is due to the community of great players!

EDIT - Capa, I still have that safeguard mission queued up for you, just send me a PM when you are on this weekend so I can help ya there!!
  13. So sorry to hear about your loss. Our pets whether they be furry, fuzzy, etc. they form a special bond in our lives and those bonds last forever. May your Oscar rest in peace.
  14. Welcome to the group. Always good to see new faces join the ranks!!
  15. Congratulations to all those who participated.
Hopefully, I will get that badge soon enough to add to my collection
  16. Omega, I noticed while I was waiting for a Lambda trial to get started that you sent a message on the CoP Trial channel indicating that due to Issue 20 and the mad dash for threads that you would be running the CoP trial once a month for the near future. My question is related towards the Rikti Raid, will you and/or Azure Lightstar be running these as per normal schedule or will this be changed as well.

Thank you for running these trials over the last months and speaking for myself, I look forward to future trials and/or any other events you decide to run in the future.
  17. Hello everyone. Another month is in the books on the Facebook page and we have welcomed 12 new members this month. Our group now has 223 members. Welcome to all the new members and I hope you enjoy and benefit from the page. Next update, May 1st.

    Mayhem Missions

    Hello everyone.

I was hoping that I could get some help on this. My hero (who is currently a villain) is in need of the Mayhem Mission badges. I am able to run the Grandville contacts and have completed the Grandville (PI) Mayhem mission, I just have no way to access the others without some help from the good folks here on Guardian.

I am going to be on this weekend and I am hoping that I can get some (or all) of these badges and missions out of the way. With that, if you do have the mission and are on this weekend, I would really appreciate the help. While I will never be at the top of the badge list (because that heal badge will take another 7 years to earn), I like to be within striking distance

Feel free to PM me in game or leave a post here. I do have heroes that I can contribute if you need a safeguard mission as well (just need to dust them off, since the vast majority of my other toons never see the light of day anymore).

Here is a list of what I need. If you can help, sign up and I'll show up at whatever time frame you have at your disposal to lend me a hand.

    Mayhem Missions:
Atlas Park: Done 04/23/2011 (thank you LadyWillow)
Kings Row: Done 04/02/2011 (thank you Capa!!)
Skyway City: Done 04/23/2011 (thank you BustaMove)
Steel Canyon: Done 04/23/2011 (thank you LadyWillow)
Independence Port: 05/15/2011 (thank you CelticCoders2)
Talos Island : Done 04/02/2011 (thank you Capa!!)
Brickstown: Done 04/23/2011 (thank you BustaMove/LadyWillow (for asking Busta))
Founders' Falls: Done 04/30/2011 (thank you BustaMove)

    Thank you!
  19. The_Spad_EU hit it square in the head.

Sadly, hero TF outnumber villain SF, by a wide margin.
So, the Devs are a bit hamstrung in what they can do.
Once I20 hits, which I am figuring to be the 3rd week of April (reason: they usually announce the WTF for the full month and April is the first one which bucks that trend, but this is my humble opinion and I am wrong so much more often than right).

Maybe if the devs opened up the Shadow Shard to both sides (co-op), it would help a little. You gotta figure the villains are hard at work trying to get into the Shard without having to *be good*.
  20. Willow, saw that post this morning and I giggled.

    *runs after Willow*
    *touchies Willow*
*runs away listening to the new Duran Duran album*
    *...I'm all alone....being followed"
  21. Always interested in a normal run (non WTF). Weekends are best and I can also do evenings, but depending on the length of the TF (for example, I won't do a Dr. Quarterfield on a weekday night).
  22. Seriously, do we really need to do this here?

I am not taking sides (as I rarely do), but if folks have issues, please take them to PM (either on the boards or in-game). We are adults and as such we all deserve to be respected. This is a game, an escape from our real lives and I for one, don't like drama in my game (and I can safely say the vast majority of folks would concur). RL gives us more than enough!

I did not attend the Dream Team run (RL), but I am glad to see them return to run these raids (and also thank EE for their efforts in filling in for DT). Hopefully, more SG's or individuals will run events as well to further enhance the game experience. These kinds of events, whether easy or hard bring the server community together. Posts like the previous ones, do not. In the end, I hope you all can resolve these issues between yourselves and not for all to see.

Welcome back, Dream Team and hopefully I can squeeze some time in one of these Saturdays and join in the fun.
  23. Welcome back. I went ahead and posted the event in the Guardian Facebook page and will do it on a weekly basis.
