Third times the charm it seems . . . just hope those first two attempts don't get processed - I hate dealing with Customer Service Reps.
Thanks again for the help everyone -
lol Actually - when I did it the second time around I did the old "Copy & Paste" routine with my info so I could get it in lightning quick - guess that wasn't fast enough for the account manager / computer / server thingie because it came back with that same message
-
I just tried buying the new booster and was told that the "image had expired" or some such nonsense, and was brought right back to the purchasing screen. I did type the info in a bit slowly, so I tried it again - same message.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? Oh - and most importantly - Anyone know if I'm going to be getting doubled billed for something I didn't get? -

NCsoft will soon be announcing formal plans for the City of Heroes IP, which will include expansions and sequels to the popular comic-book inspired massively multiplayer online (MMO) game.

I haven't read the entire thread, so I'm sorry if this has been asked already but .... what exactly does the above quote mean? Are they just saying that things will run as well or better then they did OR is it suggesting that not all future expansions will be free, and that we may have to start paying for some of them? -

EDIT: There was also a slight change to Cloaking Device which should help with the SG breaking Stealth a bit. Experiment with it some and let me know what you think.

Yeah - I would LOVE to know what the "slight change" was. -

Gadgets is the internal name of Devices. It's a Legacy issue and it was my mistake when adding the patch note.
As for the change itself, there was an exploit involving TFoe and various stationary entities (like Auto Turret.) In fixing this, the player versions of these entities were locked down as well. I do realise this impacts one of the tactics Devices players used to bypass the limitations of the set. I'll be keeping an eye on this to see if the change hampers the gameplay too severely.

Wait a second here ... <shakes head in disbelief > ... let me get this straight. So not only did Devices not get the help it needs (which every */Dev has been asking for since I3 or so), but instead it had a restriction thrown on to it? I'm sorry I just don't understand . Should */Dev's complain that the set is too powerful in hopes that it gets a boost ? You said it yourself - the set has "limitations" - why make it worse? -
This may have been asked and answered already, and I'm sorry if I'm asking it again but what if you cancelled your account at some point and then restarted it? Do the Veteran Rewards factor in both account periods or just the last one? I ask because I had cancelled my account at one point (for about 10 seconds) just to change the credit card info - will I only get credit for the time after my second activation or for both?

So after half a year there is still no SG TF for the CoH side of the Mission Computer. Does anyone know if they plan to add this to I7? Is this base item useless for CoH SG's not planning to do the IoP Trial? Why would only the villains get a SG TF and not the heroes? I just don't get it <shrugs> - If anyone can answer any of these questions I'm sure a lot of us would really appreciate it - thanks.
-
I'm still searching for a Gamma Setting command - anyone know if there even is one?
-
I'm having the same problem - if I try to sell an item or move one my game crashes. I hope they fix this soon otherwise working on my SG's base will become an extremely difficult job.

COOL! Lord Recluse is the man! Thanks so much for the responses - you're the best.
Long live Lord Recluse! Long may he reign in terror! -
Wow - cool - thanks for the response Lord Recluse. I have two other question for you regarding the Mission Computer if you don't mind - Will the heroes be getting access to a non-IoP TF like the Villains -and- Will both sides (Hero and Villain) be getting the oppurtunity to do other non-IoP TF's down the road using the Mission Computer?
Long live Lord Recluse! Long may he reign in terror! -

The Heroes' SG TF is not yet available.
[/ QUOTE ]
Doh! Ok that explains it I guess - thanks for the help Flaming1. -
My CoH SG didn't get the badge for SKing yet (and thus unlock the Mission Computer) but I noticed it was available to us on the worktable recipes so I took a chance on building it and it work - we got it. Only thing is when we went to check it out all it had available for missions was the Item of Power trial - wasn't there supposed to be a non-IoP TF on it as well? Is it not available to CoH SG's? Did i miss something or do something wrong? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.

So, is there a slash command to change your Gamma setting? What with alt-tabbing and this Catalyst bug, it'd be nice to just hit a key to reset to 71% Gamma whenever I'm back in the game.

I've been looking all over for a /command for the Gamma Setting as well - is there such a command? If so could someone please let me know what it is along with the settings for it - Thanks - I really appreciate any help anyone can give me on this. -
NO data mining?! Thats crazy - you're telling me I have to do all four FBZ TF's all over again to get the badges? Thats nuts! I'm guessing that means no badge for the Calvin Scott TF as well - that stinks - that just really stinks.

Black Oracle - A level 33 Peacebringer from the Infinity Server.

I'm not sure if this is off topic or not but I must agree - Flight is definitely the slowest way to travel. My main is a level 50 and has never taken a travel power (and never will until they come out with jetpacks or vehicles or something). All I've ever used is sprint (2 run SO's) and swift (1 run SO) and i can still out pace the flyers. I actually raced a flyer once from the Perez Park gate in Steel Canyon to the Icon in Steel Canyon and not only did I win but had enough time to pull out the old newspaper emote - boy was he twisted! And as far as flyers having the advantage in safety - I have to disagree - between being able to go invisible and knowing the city streets so well (I've been running around them for 50 levels) I can move just as safely and swiftly any where i go (even when exempted down to the lower levels) as any flyer can. So I would have to agree with the pro-flyer crowd - Flight definitely needs a little extra speed thrown on to it. Just my two cents.

I have Sprint slotted with 2 running enhancements and 2 jumping enhancements. Swift and Hurdle have 1 enhancement each. All single origin btw. To tell you the truth I actually move faster than most fliers (boy do they get freaked out when they see me move lol). I move fast enough where 2 players with Fly respeced it out just because they refused to move slower than a player with no travel power lol. I actually raced another player from the Perez Park gate in Steel Canyon to the Icon in Steel ...hehe ...boy was he unhappy when i beat him with enough time to pull out the old newspaper emote lol!

I read alot about natural origin role players not wanting to take travel powers and how frustrating it gets not to have them ....well ....I'm a lvl 50 natural AR/DEV that has never taken a travel power and never will (unless they add in vehicles or jet packs). And no i wasn't power-leveled either. Personally i enjoyed it ...I got a better few of the city and have a pretty good grasp of where and what is going on in the city streets. Was it hard at times? Yes but it was a personal challenge and i met it! So for all the other naturals out there - Don't lose hope of leveling or if its possible to go without a travel power because it is and its fun. And to all the people that try and bother you about not having one - don't let it get to you, just have fun because its not impossible to play without one just more challenging. Good luck to you all!
