My name is Flash-Fyre and I support this message.

Im kind of disappointed that they increased recharge times...here I thought I was going to be able to do without hasten.
-
Thanks for all the tweaking, you saved me the 300 plus hours I would have invested in making a trick arrow defender who can't really defend! Always good to know ahead of time when something is going to be complete and utter garbage.

Positron--
This seems like way too much reduction on Trick Arrow. How much is a group going to want a Defender with:
*No heal
*No defense/resist buff
*No endurance buff
*No recharge buff
Sets with heals and buffs can do the same -resist thing as TA.
Sets with heals and buffs can do the same slow thing as TA.
Sets with heals and buffs can debuff acc WAY better than TA.
...So I just don't see what TA brings to the table to compensate for its lack of variety (heals, buffs). I mean, Radiation is looking like Trick Arrow on steroids at this point.
What am I missing here?
P.S. -- Net Arrow is now inferior to Web Grenade, a Blaster secondary? Huh?
[/ QUOTE ]
Im wondering the same thing. Its a cool set in theory but TA sounds more like a blasterwannabe/secondary set than a team defender primary. Even with TA as it is today I was having problems on large team missions. This was with multiple TA defenders. I agree the set was very controllerish but don't gut it into uselessness. -
Lets not get caught up in what is needed or not needed. Its all about individual preference. I can probably figure out a public bus route that will get me to work, so I don't necessarily NEED a car but I will put up with the inflating gas prices, the rush hour traffic, the upkeep and maintenance costs solely because I WANT to I know other people who live by taxi and bus routes. /shrug
There is no wrong side to this. At least thats how I feel anyways. -
"Alright, heres the plan. The tank and scrapper are going to get Diabolique's aggro. The Defender is gonna debuff her. Blasters I want you to jump off that building then come in and alpha strike her. Got it? Alright lets go" -

Hades (Zues brother thats basically the ruler of hell)
[/ QUOTE ]
OK, just for the record, Hades was ruler of the underworld (also called Hades) and the underworld was not hell. It was just the place the dead went to ...well be dead.
Good and bad went to Hades, hell is probably where Zeus' father ended up (forget the name, starts with a Tar...heck I'm prob wrong there, it's been awhile).
[/ QUOTE ]
wasnt Zeus's fathers name Cronos, one of the titans ?
Anyways my theory is that their power has nothing to do with their helmets since the first COH cinematic shows Statesman just wearing a Mask. Then in World War II he is wearing a full helmet, completely different in style from the half helmet he wears now. -
Anyone else catch Manticore dropping some kind of cloaking device/stealth power as he entered the main lair ?
How about Positron and Statesman using unique fly poses. In the original old COH cinematic Statesman and the other flying heroes use the same pose we have now. This gives me hope that new flying poses will be available in COV!! -
Can I just say that
A 10 minute COH movie included on the next promotional DVD/Marketing Ploy #2 is money in the bank ?
Make a movie already! -

*waits for someone to lure giant monster to Manticore*
Somehow they'd do it. And one arrow later, the giant monster is dead.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, one of the other heroes would stop it before the arrow hit see the new comic -

These changes are being made because powers were too powerful or weak in both PvP, not just PvE. The problem is that AI mobs don't complain when they are facing unanswerable powers or combinations of powers, but players do and PvP gave them the chance to be on the receiving end of some of these things. Thus their strength was brought to light and changes were made.
They were not changed because of PvP, they were just discovered in PvP.

Hopefully heroes are beating the AI most of the time, but if that were happening to human players, they'd complain. My point is, we're SUPPOSED to overwhelm the bad guys most of the time. It's when this happens to players that there's a problem... in other words, I still don't understand the reasoning behind the the PvE nerf, especially when it will affect the VALID tactics of so many 'squishies'.
[/ QUOTE ]
Exactly, I'm being made to feel like I've been cheating, or getting over on game mechanics all this time. Well why stop with accuracy nerfs, Lets make superjump match real world physics completely, no more 90 degree turns to the right or left once Im airborne. Make my superspeeder skid 50 feet every time he stops. No, wait thats probably coming for the 2 year anniversary. -

They're not gimped.
I'm not even sure people are using "gimp" to mean "gimp" anymore.

Classic! That made me chuckle -
Thanks to this guide I am hunting Skuls with the best of them. I also saved 15% on my car insurance.

Anyways, Fly is by far the crappiest travel power in the game and one of the game's biggest disappointments.
[/ QUOTE ]
no matter how you dice it Geko. . . this dude is right.
Super Heros for many many folks means flying and it is simply a fact that, although you can argue its balance and pros/cons blah blah blah, its the least fun.
The biggest let down by far.
[/ QUOTE ]
Id have to argue the point and say Superstrength outranks Fly as far as disappointment goes and both should have been "no brainers" when it came to delivering the goods on two of the most iconic, historically longed for abilities in human history.
Flying should be an invigorating thrill ride, a Dukes of Hazzard YEEHAW power, not a "oh I can go get a drink, toss the clothes in the dryer, change my kids diaper a while I fly across Independence Port" ski lift trip. I'm beginning to see why Statesman has survived so many skirmishes and wars, HES THE LAST ONE TO ARRIVE.
Remember when the first Superman movie came out ? The billboards said "You will believe a man can fly" ..not "You wont believe how safe he is up there" I agree with many others that it doesnt have to be as fast as Superspeed but with heavy slotting it should be faster than it is today. This isnt a game unbalancing decision, its about "feel" "tone" "expectations"
EDIT:
You wont believe how safe he is -
If this title hint is pointing towards PVP ..well you dont have to be an oracle to see the troubles coming our way. I can already see the turmoil and flames. The second a Scrapper decks a Blaster with a crit or Jack Frost pwnz a Defender -Madre Mio!!!

Issue 4: Tanks for nothing -
I believe Ted Knight also did the "IN the Great Hall of Justice" voice over work from the original Superfriends Cartoon way back in the day.
