I might make a Merc/nature anyway. See how it goes.

I was wondering if the medic in mercs is still suicide?

I had a merc/poison back before i9 and loved him.
Only down side was the medic running in to punch a guy then start shooting.
Is this still an issue?

I'm thinking this set will pair well with nature provided they all stick with range and avoid melee.

I'm an old player returning and enjoying the many changes I've seen.
I left shortly after the incarnate stuff was starting so I'm a little lost as to the status of old builds.

Thus, my question. What is the current flavor of the month for Brutes?
I have an old SS/SR that I was working on but last I heard Def is worthless in the incarnate trials.
Is this still true or is Def still the best choice?

Its true I haven't finished my build but all thats left is the Kinetic Combat sets to get my s/l to 35%.
I probably don't have the level shift. The alpha slot is open but I haven't crafted anything for it.

I'll just keep playing him and see if I can find a good team.

After playing the 2 new trials I find myself thinking that I should really jump on a high res toon.
My Elec/SS is taking a pounding and I've heard that /Inv doesn't do much better since theres lots of Fire and energy damage.

So the question, What build seem to handle this stuff better?
I know we are all pretty weak and no one can solo this stuff but I'd like to die just a little bit less.

If you look at the crafting list for Incarnate stuff you'll see you can create all the components for the alpha slot powers from the incarnate strands.
Seems like they are giving us 2 options for making the powers now.

I was wondering whats the best start for a new toon. Since we can now choose from Praetoria and the normal hero/villain side.

Do you lvl faster with the new Praetorian arcs or is it about the same?

I'm looking for just about anything new on the /side.

I have no problem making new MM's with the same pets. I just want to do something different
as far as buffing and debuffing.

I guess I just wait and see what i20 has for sets.

I've been away from MM's for a while now and was wondering if there was any word on new sets coming.
I keep hoping for a /Rad. It would be my dream MM set.

I remember one dev saying something about Kinetics but there would be a lot of tweaking done to the set.

I was wondering if the proc in snow storm had a chance on all targets which is good.
I'll see how the build goes as I lvl to see if I want a proc in there or not.

I made a Cold/Ice and I'm loving it so far. I just have some questions on a few procs.

I already know to put the -res in sleet but, what about a damage proc for Ice storm and Snow storm?
If I'm remembering correctly then the damage proc in Ice Storm should be fine its just the snow storm one that I'm wondering about.

Any other procs I might?

After seeing a post where someone took down an AV with a Cold/Rad I thought about trying a Cold/DP
Is this a good idea? Has anyone played with this combo before?
I know Cold has an amazing set of debuffs but is that enough to up the damage of DP?

So far its been slow going. I like DP it just seems like I'm pecking away at them.

Login screen is fine. I only have the crash when quiting to character select.
Not a big issue for me I was just wondering if it was a known bug.

Every time I try to quit to character selection screen the game crashes.
Is this a known issue or just something with my PC?

I made an Earth/Thorn a while back, stopped playing him and was going to pick him up again since i19. So the question is any thoughts on my respec?

I think he is in his teens. I haven't checked his level yet. Anyone with a good build that wants to share would be nice.

That was the build I was looking for. I started IO'ing my toon but lost the build in mids.

I saw a build on here awhile back for a SS/Elec/Soul that had 35% def to melee I believe.
Maybe it was smash/lethal. I really can't remember.

Does anyone have that build for mids?

I know a guy that made an SS/EA before the heal was added to ED and he was a monster.
But after looking at what people are saying I think I'll try an EM/EA.

I'll have to work hard for the IO's to correct the issues but I think I can do something with that.

I'm looking for a couple power sets that are considered the worst for brutes.
I'd like to try and build something worth while out of them.

I'm not looking for help with the build just the perfect horrible pair to play with.

Any thoughts?

Since it will be for GR I don't see money as a problem.

I guess I'll have to grind though /Shield. Every time I try shields I have a hard time with the low lvls.
It always seems like a PL to 50 then IO set.

I'm looking at making a new brute for GR.

Now the question is, is there a brute that can do just about anything?
Like Solo, team, farm, tank tfs and solo AV's or am I asking the impossible?

I'm looking to start a new /SR brute. I haven't decided on the attack set but want to have something close to footstomp in terms of damage and recharge.
I was thinking Fire/ but I'm not sure how good Fire Sword Circle is. Elec/ always seemed to low on single target damage for me.


Any thoughts?

I'm starting to IO my DM/SR brute a little (only lvl 29) and I'm wondering.
Should I buy the recipes or the crafted IO's? I don't have much money right now and I'm going to wait on buying the big stuff till later but I'm wondering what everyone else does.

Ever since i17 I've had horrid lag/Sync issues. I ran by the ghost of sharkhead only to find myself pulled back next to him and die. I've been in the middle of a fight and suddenly can't click anything.

I've started using /netgraph 1 to see whats going on and this morning I had it happen to me 3 times in 15 minutes. I got "Duplicate in : 115 Retansmitted : 34 Lost IN :2" My ping is about 150-160. I've opened ports on my router and firewall for the game, even cut the graphics down to see if that helps. Nothing has worked.

Does anyone have any other thoughts?

I should mention that I have no problems when I'm on a team. It only happens when I solo
