If you want to solo AVs and farm and team, a tricked out FM/shield might suit you. Elec melee will do everything except solo AVs well, dark melee will do everything except farm well. Not sure what SS will do on the AV soloing front, but that's good at all the rest.

Fire/Shield. Good AoE, good single target, good survivability. IOs can make it into not only a jack of all trades, but a master of all trades.
Since it will be for GR I don't see money as a problem.
I guess I'll have to grind though /Shield. Every time I try shields I have a hard time with the low lvls.
It always seems like a PL to 50 then IO set.

I can live with my set IOs being 35-40 and it exemps better that way. I tend not to slot purples in mine as I want the sets that give defence.

It has very good ST damage to solo AVs with Punch, Haymaker and Gloom
It has good offensive capabilities to farm, with Rage and Lightning Reflexes cross-enhancing the effectivity of Foot Stomp and Lightning Field. Add Ball Lightning or Dark Obliteration and you're gold
It's good for tanking SFs, most notably the Lord Recluse Strike Force, old school style, where defense-based Brutes are phail
On top of all that, it also has an endless endurance supply to just keep going and going...
Edit: I can also predict that SS/Elec will make an excellent STF Brute. My Tanker is also Elec Armor and has little trouble tanking all 4 patrons at once.
