Quote:I have a great q for the devs to answer. What are their plans to allow getting incarnates through PvP?
I don't know about the other PvPers, but I have about 4-8 active PvP toons depending on whats going on. To be even competitive in the 8v8s the incarnates will be becoming a must with the AoE buff, extra pets, attack procs and 400 damage nukes. I DO NOT want to have to farm the same trails/TFs/raids to get a toon to be at the level it needs to be to even bother using. At this point getting accolades, IOs, and even now the Alpha slot is bad enough to PvE for.
Aside from removing TS, HD and Global Resists from PvP, a working and rewarding PvP IOs/loot/money/incarnate system should be very high priority. If it isn't, at this point, I really don't see me doing any of the I20 stuff (that includes, but isn't limited to the raids and getting the new incarnate abilities)for any real reason other then to say I did it once.
And to all you carebears who come in here and say 'oh but you don't need to have that stuff' and 'but PvE is so hard', obviously your in the wrong forum section.
I would guess this thread was a sorta follow up to this post above made by the OP.
It seems that some of the pvp'ers in this game, just want their toons to be auto-leveled to 50, with whatever IO's they need, accolades, and now incarnate abilities.
My understanding is that they want those toons only for pvp purposes and those toons would not be able to participate in any pve action.
This wish would make no difference to me personally. Although, I just don't see it happening.
By the way, since most all pvp leagues and ladders have set rules, regarding certain powers and AT's. Couldn't this be solved by just not allowing incarnates abilities to be slotted? -
Quote:I am a bit confused to what you are asking here.Just a quick question regarding Incarnate slotting.
I have looked on the forums and can't find the reference to Notice of the Well. I am stuck with getting that particular part in the build and have no idea how to get Notice of the Well. I have a large amount of shards but it don't do me any good to have them without the Notice.
I almost got on a WTF team but was asked if I had Alpha slotted and when I replied I was asked to leave from the team since I do not have the Alpha slotted yet. Since it puts me at -8 levels. What is the point of having a WTF if you don't have the Alpha slotted and can't try to get the ingredient that you need to get it slotted. Am I missing something here?
Is there somewhere here in the forums that explains how to get these slotted and where to get the Notice of the Wells (I realize they are rare drops)
I do have 3 tiers built in the Musculature ability but am stuck with trying to get the one I need to continue the build.
Can someone please help me with this question. Or direct me somewhere to answer it.
Thanks for the help in advance!
You told your team that you are not alpha slotted, but you say in your post that you have a "large amount of shards". Later in the post you said you have tier 3 of musculature.
As long is you have tier one of Alpha slot, that would allow you to do both Apex or Tin Mage task forces, without facing the -level.
This does mean also that you would actually have had to equip the musculature alpha. -
Quote:I'm not so sure that is a valid reason for the events not dropping rewards. They didn't want them farmed. Theoretically, a MM can camp the spot and if his pets are capable to defeat the enemies, he can step away from the computer and level up without doing anything. Events produce infinite foes to a single spot. And since they use the scaling-battle code, the player will never outlevel them.
So, all the rewards were moved to the reward table at the end of the mission.
Due to the fact, that it is not infinite foes spawned to a single spot.
Only one of the events take place in a spot, that does not require moving.
The other two events require you to go inside a building or sewer.
Even then, whether the goals are completed or not, the events are on a timer. And will not respawn for another sixty minutes.
I can't imagine there would be much farming by killing fifteen foes or so every hour. -

Quote:I always have a quite a chuckle when I read comments like those above. But then I found that I enjoy it more when someone gives me their money in an act of sheer idiocy/laziness for not even trying to get it at a fair price.
I'd say in most cases overbidding is NOT due to idiocy, laziness or ignorance at all.
It's due to fake money being well ........ fake!
I have bunches of characters that are set up pretty darn good.
Also, have plenty of billions in my virtual pockets.
And guess what? I overbid ALL the time!
Heck, I'll probably be doing it more as soon as I'm done with this post! -

Quote:The problem was the the IO and the recipe were saying two different things. One said 'knockback' and the other said 'knockdown'. This issue has been fixed. Also, not sure if you were aware, but that post was 2 1/2 years ago.I just had to comment about your post on "Stupefy: Chance for Knockdown (Recipe)
Stupefy: Chance for Knockback (Enhancement)
This actually does KnockBACK, and the recipe description says that, but the recipe name is misleading." Are you sure its missleading because this is a Proc. A proc will always do something the power is not normally able to achieve through standard slotting. I'm not sure if your complaint was that Knockback shouldn't be listed in with the set or the fact that its out of catagory since it's with listed in a Stun set. Thats what procs are suppose to do, give you something you otherwise wouldn't be able to get. Probably the best way to understand why is because its going to give you KnockBack in a power that you couldn't slot KB in if you wanted to with regular slotting. The only time I have even heard of Knock Down is in the power Air Superiority. Then you have Knock Back, and Knock Up. If its slotted in a power thats not used to knock someone down, I can see that it might knock them back. -
