    That is unfortunate. Hopefully that too will change by the time it comes out and they make it optional.
  7. The villains just won the zone a moment ago. I along with some other heroes simply dismissed the turrets and let villains take over the pill boxes.

    The zone looked pretty cool. When the villains won there was a counter that said to defeat villains to revert it back. 100 kills to do that. I assume it is the same for when the heroes win? The countdown finished before that was ever possible and the zone reverted back anyway. Perhaps the countdown timer should be a little longer or the number of kills lowered for that phase.
  8. I just spent some time with my ice tank and my stalker logged on in RV.

    I put barrage on auto against my stalker. At first I thought punchvoke was bugged with barrage but it finally taunted my stalker after 19 hits. It then took 9 hits. The next time I went 35 hits of Barrage with no punchvoke and had to rest for health. When I restarted it took 5 hits. Then it took 3 hits. I did one final test with Barrage and it took 22 hits. The taunt lasted around 6 seconds when it happened.

    I couldn't test the other attacks on my stalker since he is SR and took the damage too fast with his defense down (I don't have EP and it only took a few hits from Bone Smasher to take him down too low in health).

    Hopefully they taunt with a little more frequency.

  11. Here is my final Earth/Storm build at level 50 - HO slotted. Levels are not reviewed, I just threw this build together to show what I had after my respec for HO's. All Accuracy enhancements on control powers are Acc/Mez HO's as are the Hold enhancements shown. So, for example, Volcanic Gasses is 3 Acc/Mez HO's and 2 recharge. This build allows for great PvE play as well as PvP. It lacks Thunder Clap but I find Lightning Storm does a good job at detoggles. HO's in O2 (all 3), all damage enhancements are HO's, Steamy has 2 resist/end HO's (as slotted I have 50% resists for fire/cold/energy, can't wait to have it 6 slotted with HO's at some point hehe, goes great with my Mind over Body armor)., Mind over Body has 1 resist/end HO, the rest normal resist. IW has one defense/recharge HO. Hurricane has 4 debuff HO's at this point, aiming for 6. Freezing Rain has a debuff/accuracy. I think that covers it. I'll slot more HO's in as I get them, but as is this guy rocks.

  12. But various forms of PvP could work! You can do a capture the flag, and yes it woudl be in a different sense than UT. For example (taken from a previous post I made):

    Using moderate to larger maps, teams of 2 or more, you have a glowie pedestal spawn with the players. They have to defend that pedestal from being clicked by the opposing team(s).

    Here is the catcher. The pedestal takes 15 seconds to click. By clicking the pedestal you lose ALL powers -- your toggles drop, your status effects drop. They will not even come back unless you die. So... you better be sure you want to click that pedestal when you do.

    This will bring in strategic lay such as Ice Controllers keeping an Ice Slick on the pedestal, fire tankers being able to effectively use Burn in PvP, A blaster with Devices putting down some trip mines and full-auto. A storm defender ready with his hurricane or Bubble defencer with his repulsion field, etc.

    The fun at figuring out ways to defend your pedestal and take out the defender of the opposing teams pedestal would be awesome.

    I don't think it would take too much to add in a pedestal like that in the current format of the Arena. Please consider doing so.

    If you do, simple variations can be added such as having a once sided battle -- on team has no pedestal and is offensive only while the other is defensive and has to defend 1, 2, or 3.

    A traiditonal capture the flag setup is even possible, say you click (insta-click in this case) the opposing team's pedestal and when you do you lose all your powers but gain 2 temporary ones -- super speed and a power like the Nemesis Staff with 5 charges. You also get a special aura... a big glowing orb above your head (the "flag"). That makes you an instant target for the other team of course. You have to run back to your team's pedestal and click it to get the point.

    Matches would be won in any of the above ideas by clicking or capturing the flag 1 - say 10 times or you could set a time limit of 10 or more minutes and whoever gets the most points wins, etc.

    This are just base idea, much more can be added on or modified.

    Exactly! I made a post about getting Capture the Flag implemented but it recieved very little notice.
