    PB WS Disparity

Don't forget. Light Form doesn't get any PSI resistance while Eclipse does. Since Mez protection is easy to get with Clarion, Light Form still falls short of Eclipse.

And name me an AT that can't take down an AV without lore/incarnates minus the alpha. I suppose tankers can't due to damage, but thats the only one I can think of. Blasters have /MM which lets them solo AVs very easily. Everyone else has high damage or -regen debuffs.
  2. The ATO bonuses will greatly benefit Warshades. If its at least 8% resistances to all, Warshades will be able to have capped resistances with shields + 1 eclipse fairly easily. (May or may not need pvp resistance IO)

However it will do almost nothing for Peacebringers, like always.
  3. try a Kheld. Be the weakest AT and try to be good at it!
  4. Probably Clarion I'd guess. I try to make my builds not rely on incarnates besides alpha, but Clarion works.
  5. Eradication 3 set bonus in Dwarf AoE, 2 Kinetic Combats in Dwarf Melee attacks, and Squid works well for a purple set holder. Thats about it. Also 2 piece tohit S/L def bonus can fit in squid.
  6. For set muels and exampling , yes. And for some AoE with Squid, but that's about it.
  7. Hey, at least you guys contribute more than a Peacebringer. Its like some of my attacks completely ignore the damage slotting I have in them sometimes. My survivability is pretty good, but my damage feels less than a tankers at times.

At least Fire/MM blasters can solo GMs. Thats something nice at least :P.

If PBs are supposed to be the 'Big thing' killer, they sort of fall flat on their face when it comes to that. An easy way to fix that would be to give them a regen debuff tied to Photon Seekers. Give Photon Seekers an identity and make them equal to Fluffy. It also gives them the ability to kill big targets. -600% regen if all 3 seekers hit would be pretty good and easy, or -450% regen.
  9. Here is my crack at the build. No KB prot is going to really hurt you in the end, and its easy to get, so I threw some in. You have 1 free power choice, I took the intang travel power, but its up to you.

Resistances aren't as high as I'd like, but what can ya do?

  10. Oh, I know all the mechanics and everything, I'm just mashing out numbers to see if its possible. If PBs had a -regen debuff of some sort, it would be garunteed. Since that is the only thing that lets ill/rad, ill/cold, and bots/traps solo GMs.
  11. If they wanna help fix PB DPS issues, all they could do is add -200% regen to Photon Seekers. 3 seekers hit an AV, thats -600% regen. Brings PBs DPS up dramatically while not really doing much at all.
  12. At the moment I'm working on making a kheld be able to do AV soloing ext... Whats a good milestone to say that its somewhere in the 'OP' catagory. Solo a +4 AV with no incarnates/insps/temps? Like, up to scrapper levels of soloage. I know it wont be able to equal ill/rad or ill/cold, but yeah, what would be a good benchmark?
  13. A step that could go a long ways to fixing khelds would be letting toggles in forms and luminous aura abilities be usable in forms. Dwarf with capped S/L and 85% res to all would be very nice and make it viable with how little damage it outputs. Still wont have the E/N cap that tankers do, but it wouldn't make it a waste.
  14. Question. Light form costs us half our health, half our end, and doesn't protect from PSI, while the WS version only needs people around it as its only drawback.

Why don't they just include PSI resistance into Light form to make it equal to the WS variant? Both of them have a pretty steep cost, but the WS one is better due to capped PSI resistance. Khelds should be made roughly equal when it comes to resistance I'd think.
  15. I personally use ill/cold for my mage character. While you can make anything but trick arrow work, Anything with Fire, Cold, or Arcane (yay Warcraft) works the best. Thermal is 'meh' if you wanna solo GMs, so that was out for me. And I didn't like how busy /Rad was, not to mention the end problems it has.

So I went /cold. No end problems once you get heat loss for you or anyone in the mob. (SS/Fire/soul brutes love me.) Sleet gives you another layer of control along with drastically increasing everyone's damage and making the mobs easier to hit, and benumb which debuffs EVERYTHING besides resistance. Its scary that once you benumb a GM, those mezzes don't hurt anymore, their damage falls to almost nothing, and other fun stuff like cutting their regen to 35% of what it normally was. Not to mention it gives a ton more -res to a single target and comparatively the same as a /rad for groups. 110-130% -res on a GM makes it die so much faster. You just need more purple sets to get perma PA is all.

Oh, and the def shields. Nice giving 12% def to all to all your killable pets like Tarantula and Phanty and the party.

Basically as I see it. /rad if you wanna have an easier time with groups but have a harder time fighting a GM/AV, or /cold to lose a bit of group debuffing for more GM/AV debuffing. And Arctic Fog is nice, 60% slow resistance on top of winter's gift's 20% is very very nice.

Downside to /cold is that it gets sleet and heat loss at 35/38, so its a late bloomer.
  16. Even though the devs don't seem to be very intent on buffing khelds, I had an idea for a buff that doesn't seem to be in most of the other buff idea topics. -regen

I was thinking of giving it to these powers, but I'm sure people can think of better ones than what I've got listed.

    Give Photon Seekers -regen (250-500%)

Give Essence Drain -regen (250%) (Yes I know its a crappy attack, but hey, it would make it less crappy.)

Another idea would be toggles in forms or suppress toggles while in forms and to cut form transformation times in half, but those have been suggested a ton with no results.
  17. 360 DPS I believe is the cutoff point if the numbers I learned from the scrapper forums are what to go by.

Well, I expected that would be the case with lore pets. Didn't know how else a PB would reach over 360 without them.
  18. You know, about that whole mids/NoChain combination to make a CoH RAWR, I wouldn't mind helping with the formulas if we get a team to make this program. I can't program, but I'm very good at math and can do that bit and hopefully just have most programming be "This equals this variable, which is used here in this line which is used here in the final product."
  19. What the title says. Can a Kheld generate enough DPS/-regen to take down a GM? Factor out survivability, just straight DPS. Is it possible? This is also assuming that Warshades can fully saturate themselves once. (Only GM I can see them being able to do it more than once is Ghost of Scrapyard.)

More interested in the Peacebringer side than the Warshade side tbh.
  20. In retrospective to the above, I'm getting at most 150 dps on my StJ scrapper /w damage calculated at 3 combo points with the finishers included. With arcanatimes active. I think you may need to be more clear on where you get your damage numbers from Mids, because I know thats below what I do in-game.

Another example was my PB doing sub 100 dps which isn't true. Something is going on here that I can't figure out.

Also, see if you can work with the guy who made mids and aquire the sourcecode for RAWR, a program for an mmo that analyzes DPS based on fight parameters, gear, ext... and tells you what you can improve to get more dps out of a build. Though I assume the above isn't very time worthy for a game with sub 1mil subs like CoH.
  21. I'll help out with builds as well. I'm new to the forums, but I've been working with Mids for quite some time. (Can't do much else when your computer crashes every 5 minutes when CoH is open.)

Post your build and I can help. Dunno if I'll post my triform build or not.
  22. I didn't say I made it now did I? :P. Just wanna see if anyone can think of anything else, thats all.
  23. Here is a build I have for my KM/SD scrapper, and I'd like to know if I could get more out of it than I currently have. Would like to keep perma Hasten/aid self/softcap if possible.

  24. So I'm making a tri-form warshade, and I believe this is a solid build, but what are your opinions? I've got good accuracy in my mires, decent HP, damage cap, and perma hasten. Any ideas to get some more hp out of this without resorting to pvp sets?
