  1. Generally speaking, there shoudl be no one shotting in the PvP game of any type by any AT.

I'm not complainihg about stalkers here or about aim/buildup blasters. I'm speaking in the general sense.

Every PvP encounter should contain the opportunity for fun. This is where the fun and excitement comes in. Both parties in a PvP encounter shoudl have an opportunity to apply skill and style to the combat. One-shotting removes this.

Instead of having both parties having a potential for a fun and satisfying encounter (whether they win or lose) you now have certain ATs whose primary design is to have fun for themselves at the cost of removing any joy or excitement from the encounter for the other player.

In a better designed system, we can still have exciting PvP encounters that yield higher satisfaction and enjoyment for both parties in the encounter instead of a lopsided event that carries no opportunity for skill or excitement for the one-shotee.
  2. I know this has been said, but it needs to be harped on constantly...

Reduction in end is great for attacks to compensate for ED. Slot in some recgarge and reduced end lets you stay at some relative damage levels.

But this DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR DEFENSES WHICH ARE GETTING REAMED BY ED!

6 Slotted defenese are what it takes to be the tanker or a durable scrapper. Reduced End costs do NOTHING to compensate for the GIGANTIC defense/resist nerf!

    Issue 5 Summary?

Where I'm at now, I have limited ability to access the boards. I tried looking for a summary of Issue 5 content but the search yields 14 billion and 7 reuslts and I cannot parse them from here.

Can someone toss up a link of what we know so far about Issue 5?

    Thanks in advance.
  4. Here's the rub...

Reducing my power set is just silly.

I was passing through steel the other day and someone was yelling that they had trouble with a biss and needed help. I figure, sure, I was just on my way to do a mission and could spare a few minutes to help a soul in need.

So I join up and exemplar down 20 levels to the level of the group forming.

So we go in and we fight.

    1) I cannot count on a key power in my lineup (Instant Healing) nor can I count on my resiliance to keep me unstunned.

2)Mobs run from me like crazy and the party quite literally spends 5 to 8 minutes watching mobs run out of range and come back to be hit once and run away again.

    3) Last time I checked, when Captain America or Batman stopped off to help Bucky or Robin in a pinch, they did not suddenly turn into super wusses incapable of beating up an 8th grader

Now, I do not expect to be superman or anything when I exemplar down, but I DID expect to retain my powers, if not at their peak efficency, and I DID DID DID DID expect to be able to hit an orange.

In the end they were better off without me and choosing a scrapper who A) was in tune what what powers they had at that level and not suprised at their sudden change and B) did not nake mobs run non-stop

Unlike some, I do not carry a ton of debt around. So I gained no exp.

I gaine dinfluence at teh rate a level 15 or whatever it was gained exp. YAY I got as much from the entire mission as killing ONE (1) mob my level. That'll surely bring me back for more.

YAY! It was such a proud day for me.

This isn't confined to Badges though. I have seen lvl 50s slaughtering grey cons to improve their position on the Kiosk list. This problem will not go away in a week or two.

Is there anyone but the people trying to get on the kiosk list that ever actually looks at the kiosk list?

    Noone else cares.

Personally I think the Kiosk lists should be abolished. Heroes do not compete for "who killed the most millions of grey mobs" awards. They should be out there stopping crime at their own level and leaving the streets to the younger heroes.

The Kiosk list goes directly against the spirit of the game.
