Does anyone know when 19 is going live? I haven't seen or read anything that suggest an actual time...only rumors. thanks in advance.

Wow so many detailed answers! it makes sense. though I would still like to see it raised lol....
-
okay, thank you. so what is the cap? whats the fastest flight speed.
-
Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the max flight speed? I've have my toon up to 58.63mph
but I have my run speed at 65.23mph(with ninja run & sprint)
Flying is soooo slow. is there anyway to improve the speed?
thanks in advance -
Quote:thank you so much I will try it.every time a new issue hits I tend to make the requisite now hosted by SOE jokes.
As to the original poster's problem, I've been working a wide range of servers over the past couple of weeks, and I haven't noticed any particular map-dropping errors. Actually I did figure out what was causing my own "game seems to pause for 5 seconds" issue from a good while back. (it was KDE changing background wallpapers for those interested)
I've got the old net_info tool that used to be on NCSoft's support site mirrored through google docs. It can tell you if you have any problems connecting to various NCSoft games. Useful for determining if the connection problem is the server or your connection.
Also, if you are running a Cable or DSL modem, type the address 192.168.100.1 into your address bar.
This should bring up the modem control panel. If you are running through a router, you might have to set yourself as a DMZ host to view.
On a cable modem you should have both a Receive Power Level and a Transmit Power Level.- The receive power level should be between 0 and 1.
- The Transmit level should be between 45 and 56.

Mapserving literally every 5minutes. Sent MANY petitions NO answers. I have to start at the beginning of missions every time I map serv...however if I mapserv with half energy...when I restart? I still have half energy, what is that? I've called my ISP and ran many diagnostic test...shut down anything else sucking bandwith and no change, any advice would be great.
cable internet btw
I am on Freedom Server,
In Praetoria
time, its happening all the time....it got so bad that I was mapserving before the game even completed loading. I sent petitions and also a support ticket, I am waiting for a response. I called my ISP provider and had them run every test I could think of...they say nothing is wrong. whats frustrating is when I ask, in broadcast mode, if anyone is experiencing the same...most to everyone says no...so I am at a lost. this is the second day its been happening. I am running on a desktop, directly connected to the cable modem. All lights are go...shut down any other program that may bother the bandwith...but this problem just started. I been playing off and on for years and this has never happened. so very confused, any ideas or advice would be great, can't play more than 5to10min of game...I at a lost here... -
Quote:Thanks for the response, so frustrated that I forgot to give that info.Your best bet is to report this to the "Tech Issues" forum to look for any correlation with players from other servers as well.
We've seen some zone-specific insanity lately. Sharkhead on redside is always coming up these days, was that where you were? If not, some more info would be helpful (time/date, zone, what you saw, did it follow you across multiple zones, etc).

Quote:wow, thank you, I've never knew thatRubberbanding is simply the result of the server and client not agreeing as to where you are. This generally is a result of lost packets somewhere between the servers and you - it could be anywhere in the internet and rarely will be anything NCSoft will have any direct control over. You, they and your ISP all can report this to those responsible for the link affected in order to try to put pressure on them to identify and hopefully correct any fault. It may however also be a case of very high load exceeding the bandwith capability of that link.
When the client is able to re-establish the connection it will redisplay your location at the location held by the server.
Lag can be the result of problems on the servers, on your PC or anywhere in between so a lot more information is needed to identify the nature of it before anything can be done to fix it.
Latency is a measure of the time it takes a network packet to travel between cliet and server and is related to physical distance, link type and number of links involved.
A high latency connection will generally be seen as displaying significant levels of lag.
Areas requiring a large amount of graphical rendering will also tend to exhibit higher levels of lag - this relates to the graphics hardware on the client.
High loads on the server will again result in higher lag.
These are all very different causes and will have slightly different characteristics but all can be described as lag. -

Quote:So what would you suggest? far as card goes? It'll work, but it's a midgrade card so don't expect much from it. For the record, it's not even listed over at Tom's Hardware on the VGA charts. The 9600GT is listed, and it's down toward the bottom of the chart. You may get ultra mode to look pretty, but your FPS will probably be shot to hell. That's my guess.
here's the link -
so i have a 9500gt (new to gaming) will I be O.k.? and does my card suck? it seems to work fine but from what i've read maybe mine...is crap?
-
what causes the lag? sometimes its SOOO bad, can't they fix that? or is it a user PC issue? same question for rubberbanding....I'm just wondering, have they addressed these issues? cause everyone just seems to accept it...
-
Well most of the stuff is really needed. A SG message board would be great, as well as, an Influ bank or WW/Blackmarket computer to access from base. as well as actual walls and windows...but who knows. have they ever answered any of these threads?
-
I have been playing ALL day, have not been on team or tf, so its not that, I'm on Freedom, villains side, and I map served 10 times in 30minutes....what is up? glad to know its not just me....now i have to call apologize to comcast....

Quote:thank youNothing to add other than that there is a great Base Builder's section Here if you didn't know about it.
Most of the regulars there are perfectly willing to provide inspiration, ideas, and/or how to's for any basebuilding problems or wants you might have. -
oh wow thanks, one more question...what is the program called for the art? or a link?
