Or you could see it as an understanding that we can't play the game 24/7 and is intended to reward us for inevitable downtimes by establishing a sense of roleplaying which roleplayers can enjoy and non-roleplayers don't have to worry about.. I think it's a nice touch, kinda ingenious, actually.

And, truth be told, I am not renowned for my warm regard toward Dev "innovations".

Now, what would make this "Day Job" thing REALLY cool is an extra costume slot that must be used for some kind of civilian garb, together with an emote that lets us transform into our superpowered alter-egos when we get off "work".

Maybe the reason the other temp powers have not been offered is that they are either available again through flashback or they are in the process of being converted to recipes available through the normal course of play.

Not really impressed with the Dual Blades, especially after how much effort they seemed to make about it being Dual Blades and not Dual Sword.

Description: The bestiary would be a 1x1 display unit that would hold a sample of one of the many unique monster/alien types found throughout Paragon City. To unlock this badge each giant monster badge must be earned while in SG mode plus Heart of the Hamidon. This item may be crafted once the appropriate badges are acquired. This unit displays an example of one of the monsters/aliens seen around Paragon City. Example, Shivan Destroyer (Shivan), Man of War (Hydra), Small Octopus (Lusca) etc.
Limitations: Only one of each type of monster/alien may be placed. Raid version. During a raid the stasis unit may become damaged releasing the monster/alien stored within. This pet will attack the first character within its aggro range. The creature will despawn after 5 minutes.

At this exact moment can you get the Winter event badges? No, you can't. Now what if they don't use those same badges next year, but you want that cool badge on your new Ice/Ice tanker? Tough. You're outa luck. Same thing here for Inventions... you may not be able to earn every IO, but that's what the friggin auction houses are for! In that way, it's even better than unavailable badges because if you can't get it on a certain character, someone else can or you can use an alt!

Also don't forget what Positron said about gameplay... IOs are not required to play and they are not raising the difficulty of mobs against the introduction of IOs, so keeping SOs is fine and in some cases will yeild better bonuses.

It's all coming across as a whole lotta "me me me" crap here people.

Now that I got that out, let me say that I do agree that having certain drops tied to non-repeatable content may make getting those kinda tough, but I have no problem with that. Where's the reward of getting something if it can be gotten at anytime? You might as well just have a friggin store selling the IOs in that case.

I think I hurt myself laughing on version 2. By far the best one to date and I'm not just saying that because its my toon. What's also funny is that I'm using "Egg Hunter" as my badge title and it fits perfectly LOL.

I haven't noticed a change to my aggro drawing ability on my fire/fire tank. The mobs all hate me equally.
