  1. Last night:

Fusebox headed to Siren's Call to help after hearing the radio transmission on public frequencies, but was called away before the start of the battle to deal with some Outcasts who got dangerously close to accidently shutting down the Steel Canyon Children's Hospital's generators by accident.

Number Nine waited by Galaxy Girl statue for Doctor Temporis, dressed very nicely in a black skirt and top combo, and even wearing jewellery and perfume. The two had a pleasent evening, discussing work, christmas, polyamourism, circumstances, Doc's girlfriend, her incident with 'Dragonfly in Pocket D, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and Doc also helped Nene to transcend the boundries of her current programming limits, when telling her that if she did not want to be known as a Crey creation, she did not have to. After some deliberating, Nene said that she was Nene, created by herself and that she worked for DATA, as well as not having any code, designation or batch number. She sounded less hesitant, less stalled when she spoke, and a pleased Doc continued their chat. Redemption and second chances was mentioned twice, the beauty of artifical creations like the city and of reflections, and as they went for a walk to and around Silver Lake, discussed humanity, feeling alone in a crowd, crime and deviance before reaching the station, where Nene gave Doc a kiss on the cheek and a curtsey, thanking him for the evening, before the two parted ways.
  2. GirlStuff Equinox, Galaxy City. Thursday 14th December, 12:07pm.
Odd looks came from all directions at her as she strolled through the rather pink and sparkly womans fashion store, hands drifting through the rails of clothing, eyes searching on a mission. Teenage girls looked on in disbelief, mothers kept their young children close and the store assistants had a look best described as 'What the hell do we do?' on their faces.

For metallic gynoids did not often come in to shop, and they most certainly did not come into the eveningwear section.

But this is just what Nene was doing. Her eyes focused on each outfit, each dress and each combination of clothing, processing, mixing and matching colours and using in-built variables and logic gates to find something that would suit her. She stopped in front of a mirror, holding a pretty black skirt and top combo against her dark red suit, processing the visual information to translate it into an image of what she think she'd look like in it.

With a final glance around the shop, and a quick comparrison to the other items of clothing she had in her 'maybe' section, she nodded to herself and headed to the checkout, placing them in the counter, with a bank card on top.

"W...would you like to apply f-for a s-st-store card... miss...?" the shop assistant asked somewhat nervously and cautiously, taking the items to scan through.

"Analyzing: Terms and Conditions. Calculating: Credit Rate and: Interest Rates... No: Thank you." Nene stated, her eyes catching the racks of accessories by the till.
"Excuse me: One moment. I would like to: Purchase accessories to: compliment this: Outfit."

The girl on the till nodded, almost pacing on the spot as the gynoid browsed the selection and finally brought some pieces back. "Add: these items to my: transaction please."

"W-will that be all?" the shop assistant asked, quickly scanning the items in and putting them into the bag, before swiping Nene's debit card.

"Yes. I reqiure: No further purchases." Nene said, her face as expressionless as her synthesized voice. She took her reciept, card and plastic bag as they were passed to her.

"T-thank you, p-please, come again..." the assistant said, waving as the odd 'woman' headed out of the store.

    "You are: welcome."
  3. "See you later, Nene!" Margret smiled, the mid-fourties woman waving to Nene as she passed.
"Thank you: Margret, have a: nice day." Nene said as politely as her voice synthesizer and fixed expression allowed, dressed in a pale blue suit with a handbag over her shoulder. Her heels clicked on the floor as she walked down DATA's hallways, to the bustling street outside filled will christmas shoppers.

"Merry christmas, Miss!" A jovial Santa Claus called out as she passed, responded to with a light nod. Nene knew about Christmas, but the sentiment was lost on her. She had purchased presents for what few friends she had, but that was only done as it seemed a 'right' thing to do.

Her head turned curiously as she spotted a flyer on the lamppost next to her. "Pocket D: Christmas Party?" she said to herself. Nene was not that much of a stranger to the interdimensional nightclub. What better place for a gynoid looking to associate and learn human socialization to go? And a Christmas party would bring more oppertunities for her to learn. Data and variables began to click together in her processors as she started to formulate an approach to this event.
  4. I play many characters. The alt list over on the GGWiki went over 50 characters and is about 6 months out of date. Sure gets crowded up here. *Taps forehead*

Well, Sabrina was mentioning buying Nene and using her chronomanipulation abilities, as that is what she was created for, so a natural logical jump is to reverse that with something Sabrina said she wouldn't do. She has a twisted sense of logic at times.

Please, don't anyone let my recaps be a reason for not doing your own if you'd like to.

[/ QUOTE ] Total agreeage. Always good to get lots of write-ups from different people to cover different perspectives and missing events.

    [ QUOTE ]
In the end, Sword convinced Sabrina to give in and instead of repeling people around her with all her negativity, to try and show a nicer side.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Good to hear! Even despite their somewhat edgey start, Number Nine will still probably chat to 'Dragonfly again, seeing as she is trying to learn about human socialization.

Speaking of which... . Just .
  6. Hmm, Ly Shokan = Crey/Council Cyborg.
    Number Nine = Crey Gynoid
    Sabrina = Antagonistic towards both.
Conclusion: Sabrina has a: dislike of: machines?

  8. Saturday at Pocket D:

Fusebox arrived at Pocket D and met up with Miss Ellie, Grav Mistress, Tigergirl, Psyonix and Dark Stone, the latter of which startled Hannah and made her spill hre drink, with Yoko (Tigergirl) buying her a new one. The girls chatted about various things, with Psyonix departing, then Ellie departin while Yoko and Hannah were on the dancefloor. They returned and chatted to the others, before Yoko went home, and Hannah gave Jess a dance. The two left afterwards to return to Rolando Island, leaving Jared (Dark Stone) and the recently arrived Sara Aegis in discussion.

Jared's girlfriend Jane Darc showed up, the two having a drink on the sofa in the heroes side of Pocket D and having a bit of a heart to heart. After admitting their feelings for each other, rather than simply being together for laughs and company, Jared picked the mid-twentysomething dead girl up and carried her home. Hooray for zombie/human love!

Later on, former Crey Industries gynoid Number Nine showed up and sat next to Colie and Sword of Truth, chatting to them and offering to buy them a drink. Sword was a little edgey when she discovered Crey built Nene, but settled down once Nene said that she had emancipated herself from the company. Nadia and Andre began to ask Nene questions about Crey and Project Revenant, which she answered to the best of her abilities, and when asked about the location of the original Nadia Forester, mentioned Crey's offshore facilities in international waters, situated in the Nerva Archapeligo in the Rogue Isle.

Nightsparrow appeared briefly before disappearing, Nadia surmising that she went to the ladies room. When Andre said "Yeah, I guess..." Nene helpfully chimed in by stating the fact that humans and metahumans often need to urinate after drinking. Nightsparrow returned and was introduced to Nene, and the four chatted, Nene picking up what she percived to be some tension between the three, especially when Nadia left to use the ladies room and Colie started to dig himself a hole with a verbal shovel. Nene wasn't offended, or the slightest embarressed, though she did apologize when she raised her perception that there was tension and asked if she should go elsewhere to leave them to discuss things in privacy. Nene explained a few things about her thought processes, and spotted Pyranha on the other side of the bar. Knowing her from the statue and from a visit to Pocket D, she pondered if it would be unseemly to go over and say hello before leaving. Mention was made of a girl with a mohawk being rather rude, and Nene bid the three goodnight before heading home.

    Sunday Night at Pocket D:

Jane Darc, Dark Stone and Sara Aegis arrived for a quick drink, escaping a very odd man at the statue, the three chatting about various things before parting ways, the hour getting late. Jane and Jared also possibly broke the record for the most amount of continuous dead jokes you could string together. I'll post that once I get the logs from the main PC.

A short while later, Number Nine arrived, and spoke to `Dragonfly, who incidently had a mohawk. The chat started friendly enough, before Sabrina started to tell Nene that she was broken and useless as she was not obeying Crey, calling her 'robot' even though she had given a name to use, trying to buy her and generally deriding her semi-sentient state. Nene started to get a bit agitated by this, using her Emotive Language Engines to try to better discuss her viewpoint with the chinese girl. Once this seemed like a futile task, Nene retreated to the bar away from Sabrina, meeting Tower of Power and Drake.... sorry, forgotten his last name!. Sabrina stormed over, demanding to see Nene's codes and ID, to which the three responded that Pocket D was neutral territory, the demands meant nothing. A debate was gotten into about robots and sentience, as well as treating them civilly, with Sabrina outnumbered on her view that Nene was just a machine and should do her duty. Prejudice and bigoted behaviour was raised, and things got a little heated before Sabrina left, with Nene resorting to some rather strong words in her emotive language state, before suggesting that seeing as Sabrina thought Nene should work for Crey and do what she was made to do, Sabrina should do her biological duty to procreate and continue on her family line. Earlier, Sabrina had said she'd never do this, so Nene brought up the point of how it was okay for Sabrina not to do her duty, but how it wasn't considered okay for herself to not serve Crey. She also made a cutting remark that as Sabrina had tried ot buy her, maybe she should buy Sabrina and force her to procreate with whoever wanted her. Yowch, where'd she pick that language up of?

Sabrina stormed out, shouting "It's because I'm chinese, isn't it?" to which Drake called out that no, it was because she was well, not a very nice person, it not so nice terms.

With Sabrina gone, Nene offered to buy the others a drink again, and the three talked about sporting teams, metahumans being unable to play professionally and the legislation upcoming for national metahuman sports teams. A tall man arrived (Y. Frieza), who ignored Erik's (Tower of Power) polite nod, and when overhearing Drake mentioning a crazy woman, mentioned that he was waiting for a friend and asked Drake to describe her. Drake didn't, and a short while later left, saying goodbye to the two he had chatted with. The man picked up a phone and was heard talking to Sabrina on the phone, Nene picking up that maybe some half-truths about the debate were being said, and turned down Erik's offer to walk her home and instead walked him home, suggesting he be on his guard for Sabrina and the man they had seen.

Oh, I do enjoy your recaps Colie, and can understand how tiring they can be, having done similar myself in the past. MAybe keep things brief for some things, and more detail for more interesting/important events?

    The Hulmiluation

((Well firstly, pieces where constructive criticism are desired usually go in Creative, instead of Roleplaying.

Firstly, I noticed you used the term 'higher level heroes', which implies game mechanics. 'Stronger', 'more experienced' and other such terms are better.

Secondly, it lacks a lot of punctuation, it's mostly just a stream of text. Some formatting and breaking it up into paragraphs would make it much easier on the eyes to read, with clear breaks.

Once that is done, you can work on maybe adding a little more description and minor details to flesh it out, but like with everything, excess can be a bad thing.))

I do, both in real life and via IRC.

In real life, me, FloatingFatMan, Doctor_Temporis and Hikari_Hime have a Fading Suns game that Doc GM's, we play every few months or so when I can get down to visit.

Over MSN and webcam I used to play a Deadlands game run by former CoH player Wordmaker, which _Max_ played as well, and had 2 sessions when I went up to visit.

Over IRC, I've played Mutants and Masterminds, FUDGE and am currently in a BESM game.
  12. Y'know.... there's so much good stuff in November, it's hard to know what to vote for.

I mean, there's FFM's Miss Ellie's diary, _Max_'s NaNoWriMo and art entry, Catz'... hmmm

Bridger, can I get a clarification? Is it the one that gets the most nominations, or do you look at each nominated piece and decide for yourselves the best?
  13. Phillip Jackson, the half-troll who was waiting for his girlfriend to return from a trip and having a pitcher or two of beer while waiting, that was me, yes.
  14. Keep Dragonfly away from the booze. She scared the hell out of Phil, what with her random screaming that she's a lesbian, thinking Phil was [censored] as he wasn't trying to chat her up, and insiting his jumper was expensive.

Cauter will probably turn up, or Jane, maybe Nene if there was one.
  15. Something I did while sitting around in Sociology, a portrait shot of one of my favourite male characters, bad boy dark/dark scrapper Isaac Anderson.

    Grudge Match!

Let's go to the weigh-in of our opponents!

    Miss Ellie - Tri-Form Peacebringer
Strengths: Fashion sense (Less is more? ), married, shiney powers.
Weaknesses: Catgirl, balls of wool, catnip.

    Fire Guardian - AR/Fire Blaster
Strengths: Supersoaker, can heat up coffee/cans of soup, slightly more firepower than a NERF gun.
Weaknesses: Power Thrusts to the stomach, dreidels, weapon looks less cool than a NERF gun, can get sued for heating things up without warning label.
  17. Today I developed a storyline, characters, drew maps of the world and the village most of the first part takes place in, and got a fair chunk of prologue written. No way I can finish, but still, looks like it could be a good story.
  18. So that's where this Cubic Zircona statue of a woman came from...
