Well there are two sides to the ignore feature.
Side A, where people like you and me understand that a brick wall is a brick wall no matter what, and are tired of seeing the same garbage being spray-painted on it...
Side B, where people like we've seen recently stick their fingers in their ears and lalala I can't hear you because they know they're in the wrong and don't want to be told.
I see only one of thsoe sides as being a fault. -

In an old tabletop supers campaign, we had one hero whose handicap was that he didn't have a mouth. Gagged all the time. Also supervillains kept phoning the base to torment him.

Hahahhahaaha!
Friend of mine in a rpg also had a mute character, or I should say, one who *did not speak* because of some vow. She was trying to describe a big monster that she'd seen and was coming our way.
The player acted this out:
Big eyes, scared looking, and kept waving his hands up from behind his head.
We were all, "peacock? bleach blonde? headwound?"
it was a riot -
McAffee is well known to be a pile. Definitely switch it out, because it's not gonna detect a lot of things. Besides: the others mentioned are still free. You can't really lose by having more than one way to detect things.
Note: Malware, Spyware, Adware and Viruses are all very different things, and not every program detects all of them. Mcaffee definitely does NOT. -
If they could just take out the "ghuuuuh*wheeze*expire**thud*" noise from the things which are not humanoid, I'd be happy. Having a DE swarm go 'thud' is a little weird.

Maybe this should've gone into that rude tells thread......

Um... Zek... it looks like she might've buried them and dug them back up.....

Ew.
Reminds me of a customer when I was working at a hobby shop. He paid for their 600$ worth of remote control car doodads with money that had apparently been buried for several months. It reeked. -
Then you need to download malware and ad ware detectors, because there is nothing on DA that does it. But seriously: Deviantart was the reason I switched from IE to Firefox. IE cannot keep up with the graphics and code used there.
Lavasoft's AdAware is free, does a very good job of keeping cookies and tracking things off your computer;
Malwarebytes has an incredibly good malware/virus scanner. Also free. I recommend using both of those. -
... Wolfie, where have you been hoarding the oreos? Don't you just EAT them?
-
Change to Firefox, and run a thorough malware, adware and virus scan on your computer. DA's clean and has been in the 5+ years I've been there. But definitely: stop using IE. It's a trap.

I think it it's possible to have folks who have some time later, maybe late Sunday or Monday if it's a day off for those, I'd still love to do this.
Seriously, my mom opened my door at like 915, I didn't even get up for at least half an hour later, and by the time I was even remotely awake it was past 10 lol. I don't know why it didn't register for me that I should have written the time for this on my calendar, because at least then I'd have been prepared lol. -
omg I have to print this out, it's like a new drinking game

It might just be too old and not going in the right way?

Welcome back -
And? The devs aren't going to answer any of the "questions" in the OP, first off because calling them out on the forums IS against the forum rules, and second because most of the "questions" are just baseless accusations about farming nerfs.

Oh good lord, 1 pm eastern is NOW... >_> glances at clock reading 10 am...
Well if team 2 might gather later I may make it to that but I definitely have real world stuff myself (like trying to buy and use a shower chair for my mom... getting her to use it will be like pullin' teeth). I even had a dream about this last night. Wondering which powers my 50s would lose with the exemplar lol. -
To me, filling has generally only meant 'making more difficult', not necessarily 'repeating the mission over and over'. I mean, I don't often fill but I have in the past, and if it were more seriously farming, why didn't they ask *again* when they had reset the mission? (obvious answer is obvious, that they found another person, but still).
Filling =/= farming, farming =/= powerleveling, exploits =/= any of those either. Farming is not bad in and of itself, and is easily done even by accident. Heck, filling might even just mean, "I want to get a 5 person worth out of this 4 person team because I'm too lazy to up my diff level" -
(qr to above olin!)
"Free to play after buying it".
You're still paying for the game, and how much is that? Sorry, but no. Just, no. Not a valid comparison. -
Well, considering that only the villains are able to be injured in that manner and upstanding citizens *cannot be hurt* (outside of being placed into a body bag, which kills them immediately...) I think that would work just fine
-
It wouldn't kill anything, those pesky farmers are a flexible lot. They would find a way.
However, I personally do think that the idea has merit - only if it's "ingame" time, not "real world time" because of how often one might forget to log onto a character. Though - I'd lose my Tyrant missions, I have had two on my fifties for ... well over a year now lol. But I haven't actually *run* them yet.
I think maybe a change to 'after mission started'. I'm not against that kind of change, though I don't see it really being necessary since the devs have already got plenty of ways to curb in-game farming where as they have had to get a little more dramatic with the AE stuff. -
By the time Sony got to it I think their only goal really was to drive the last nails in the coffin
I don't know that it would have been either better OR worse had they not picked it up, because of all the trouble it'd already been through. But it still was one of those things that Sony COULD have really improved, and didn't. -
But Sony did also completely botch Matrix Online, as was pointed out too. It's a game I was going to buy and play religiously - until CoH came out on time and Mx didn't. And then it looked worse and worse, as they changed publishers and teams, and then it actually came OUT and was... meh. I wanted to play the game that they originally talked about on the vhs tape.
-
I think I saw an ad, but it looked *exactly* like 2. Are they using basically the same graphics? Because the graphics difference between 1 and 2 was massive, obviously, so I can't really see much more evolving to be done.
I usually only step into Sims when I want to design a house, lol. I own all the original 1, and about 3 of the sims 2 products before I realized "i don't really play this game nearly enough to warrant this much spending on it..."
I did however manage one time to reinstall 1 *over all my downloads* which it *deletes* to make a new directory tree when reinstalling.
40 THOUSAND files. Over 2 years of collecting items and outfits online... gone. I so cried. -
That's because Armor left the Shooters in charge, and no one *ever* checks to see when we need to reorder them! Dangit!
