  1. Actually, colors opposite each other do *not* work well with each other if the same level of saturation and vividness. Think of really intense red and green stripes... the colors 'swim' if seen together.

When you put colors on the opposite side together, one or both of the colors need to be softened by desaturation (add black to mute the color or white to wash it out).

Unless you're going for the crazy psycho clown look, then, by all means, let the opposites fight!

If you do, please log in to Beta, go to Kings Row, and give your reasoned feedback without running around like your hair is on fire and this is the worst thing that could ever happen and share your thoughts on the new Skulls. All of my in-game buddies and I have absolutely hated what's been done to them and so rather than let the usual feedback process take place I'm rabble rousing outside of the Beta forums.

    For I24? No.

For some other reason as a one-time event for a day or weekend or week? Possibly.

You could always pray that an Issue is delayed or there were a few days of server outages and they open this up as a pacifying gift to the playerbase.

But, they will be back next summer.

Also, there were some hints that such a proc may show up in some other sets in the future, but no timetable.

You mean the one that took over three years to get back into the game? Sure... go with that and Praetorian Ouroboros will be here in 2015.

  7. Dark Miasma has Tar Patch which is -30% Resistance. And that can be stacked since it's from the pseudopet. So, a very high recharge Miasmist can put out -60% Resistance for half the time and -30% the other half.

Also, Fluffy has Darkest Night, too. So, if you can get the target isolated, Fluffy will throw another -30% DAM on top your your -30% DAM.

(And not to mention getting over -80% ToHit, up to -120% with slotting.)

    Is it effective? Anecdote time:

Remember when the STF used to be hard? And the Master of the STF even harder because of Ghost Widow and her 100 Mag Hold that would auto-kill even the hardiest Tanker? Well I don't. Because of all the -DAM my D3 had. I'd see squishies survive GW's hold. I didn't know what people were talking about with all that auto-kill talk. The same for Boobcat's ridiculous 3k damage. It's never that high and instganking people when my D3 gets all his debuffs running.

Nor did he say it was about Celestial armor. For all we know, 'this topic' means 'availability' and he's going to try to set up one of the employees on a date.

  10. It's a 25 foot radius sphere. (So, a 50 foot diameter.)

Hover at your range, about 80'. Do not hover near the ground. High or the ground... not in between. That will give people below you plenty of room to jump and not hit the sphere of damage. Also, if they do fly into it and get hit with the -fly, the good news is they drop out of the damage of the sphere.

Hover is not being buffed in I24. However, all movement bonuses in IO Sets are becoming Universal Movement buffs and are being made 50% stronger.

Also, Steam Jump and the Jump Pack from Good v. Evil will turn Hover into capped flyspeed for most of the time.

Make his telephone contact same name, same model, but make his contact ID 102999 but he gives the same exact storyarc.
That's not how the contact system nor Ouroboros works. So, they'd have to code that.. thus the problem.

Also, the phasing tech makes some arcs impossible. You can remove Cleopatra from the game and then get the mission to deliver flowers to her from White... which you can't.

So, if you're a Praetorian and you removed Cleopatra from the game, not only is there a problem getting Cleo as a contact, but there is a problem if you're doing White's arc through Ouroboros.

It *can* be worked around. But it would need coding. And not easy coding. Standard code rant in full force here.

That's the way it always worked.
  13. TP Foe has an effect called Residual Ether which has a 50% chance to Taunt. So, even if you attempt to TP Foe an even level Boss or AV (which you can't) you can still have a 50% chance to 'hit' with the Taunt and they'll come running. The Taunt is a 10 foot sphere, so any very nearby foes will also be taunted. Not to mention if the spawn has any AI alerting each other to being attacked.

TP Foe can have its range extended so far, that you're out of most foe's perception range, which is also the point at which they'll stop pursuing if you didn't do damage to them. Thus you can be so far away that you can TP a foe and even if the others are alerted, they won't come running. This is especially true if you're on another level (up a ramp, e.g.) where pathing makes you seem farther away according to their AI, or, if you're around a corner and out of the line of sight.

Yes, it should be more personal, like:

Numina: "Greetings, Agent White! I have an urgent task for you. It seems that my fledgling boyfriend, Positron, has been acting aloof and been making excuses to be away from me. I need you to monitor him and then report back to me if he's seeing someone else."
  18. What has been done to Celestial is a *fix*.

How many times have we all heard each other complain about "pre-tinting"? Celestial had pre-tinting. The pre-tinting is being removed.

If some of you start to complain about this, then they're not going to be so careful as to stop pre-tinting future sets.

And as many that may complain that this change 'ruins' their workarounds, let's poll everyone so as to see how many didn't bother to use this set because of the pre-tinting; because I'm sure there are more of them than those who lived with and actually like the pre-tinting.

You need to think like a DA or a victorious general.

Both have to decide who is worthy of holding accountable and pursuing to impose penalties in wartime and afterwards.

And they ain't got nothing on Marauder unless there are Praetorians willing to testify about what happened in the wilderness. And even then, it's up to Praetorians to try him, not Primals for what he did. Marauder traded in drugs to keep his war buddies alive (but also abused them as street thugs to justify a hard line police state). But it's up to Praetorians to try him for that. Marauder tried to hold a fortress against an invading army. No war crimes there. It's true that Marauder has no moral core, but there's nothing for a Primal DA or a General to pursue. And if he can be an asset on another war front... you use him.

The same with Marchand... it was Cole calling the shots for an invasion. Cole, who, by they way, most believed was necessary to stave off being subsumed by the Hamidon. And when it was clear that Cole wasn't acting in the best interest of the Praetorians, he switched sides. Marchand didn't order attacks on civilian populations. You don't try an opposing General for doing what Generals do... that's not war crimes. It was Cole that crossed over the bounds into war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Now, it's true that for the same reasons Dominatrix should also be cut loose. She didn't lead any attacks against Primals. And any crimes she committed as a Praetor should be tried by Praetorians. And she helped take out Diabolique (though poorly); and she abandoned Cole (though to switch to the winning side). We know as players she is completely amoral, even sociopathic. But any Primal General or DA wouldn't. If I were a General, I'd put her past a Grand Jury not so much as thinking I'd get an guilty verdict, but to let her know that Primals do not countenance what the Praetors did in Praetoria, and none of that will fly here.

As to the fascination with the crotch it's because we are fascinated with the crotch. We're hard wired to be so.

Sociologists have actually studied where the eyes wander to and linger or furtively glance at in social interactions and everybody is looking at everybody's naughty bits (and other erogenous zones or whatever gets associated with sexual attractiveness or sexual aggression) all the time regardless of gender or orientation. It's like dogs sniffing butts.

It's just a question of whether we admit it. And in society, we're getting more honest and frank about it such that when an artistic representation of a crotch doesn't look right, people point it out without embarrassment... probably more so in this anonymous Internettic environment.

And especially after watching the Olympic aquatic and wrestling events...

That's because Lamatshu's consort, Pazuzu (The Magician) is a wind avatar, and there's a bunch of them in the game. And that's one area of mythology and loose ends still ongoing in the game dealing with the Order of the Four Winds and Scirocco's usurpation of one of the Mantles and his slow maybe-ish redemption.

CoH's use of avatars of wind gods...

I agree that it's appropriately drawn, however, I disagree that the package is filled, so to speak. Baggy pants is baggy.

Besides, Marauder uses the Huge Model and, well, huge is huge. The huge model has always had the crotch shaded to look... well, particularly 'full,' especially with tights options.

The other piece of art shown in this thread was never an option for a splasher screen since it was an obviously early work that contains elements that haven't showed up in the game... yet. And, oh yeah, two of the characters are now dead and never made it to that battle. It's a very anachronistic piece that was undercut by later changes in the storyline.
