...of the soon to be released Dirty Fighting powerset. Some of the things I noticed from the video:
0:07 - some sort of weapon attack? I hope it's customizable.
0:25-27 - some sort of stun attack maybe?
0:36-39 - looks like the standard taunt.
0:42-45 - appears to be the Tier 9 attack. Looks like it is going to have a long animation, but the break, snap and crush with the foot looks epic.
0:54-57 - unfortunately looks like a port of Flurry or Shadow Maul, but if it follows up with the knee that acts as a stun that could be pretty cool.
0:57-58 - is obviously the PBAoE of the set. The kick is pretty win as well.
0:59-1:00 - perhaps the Stalker AS? Looks like a neat sneak attack.
1:28-1:33 - is either a long attack chain power, or really quick animating tier 1-3 attacks that work well chained together. Maybe there's a bonus to them like Dual Blades?
All in all not quite what I was expecting, but it definitely has a grittier "street fighting" feel to it than MA or SS. Some of the animation times might end up feeling too long, but that's pretty standard for the newer sets. Hopefully there is some gimmick involved like DP, DB and Kin Melee. Can't wait to try it out.

Just pretend like you bought a new game, would probably be easier that way. Welcome back.

My mom's made sure I've been very well protected since I started using the internet, so this NDA thing is something I need to talk with her about - if I get an invite -

I vote for Option 2. I would much rather have to scroll through extra options rather than having options taken away. Option 1 wouldn't necessarily ruin the game for me, but it would lock whatever toon is using the legacy pieces into that look forever.
To answer one of your earlier questions, my main toon still uses the unanimated cat tail because he is locked into several legacy options on the face. The original glowing eyes face with the short/sharp pointy ears just can't be reproduced with the newer stuff. If I had those old options back I'd switch to the animated tail in a heartbeat though.
This is why I'll always vote for Option 2 in any poll such as this one. -
Welcome Rami. You must be a somewhat intelligent gamer to have picked the best server to play on, so props to you there.
As others have said just send a tell to a channel mod in JFA2010 and you'll get unsilenced. Really though you don't even need to talk in the chan to get a spot on a team that might be forming, just send a tell to the person advertising.
The only thing I can see that you're missing out on that you might find fun would be Task Forces (team only content). They're a good way to meet new players, plus you'll get a good handle on the whole team dynamics and how your toon interacts with the different AT's in the game. As a bonus you'll usually get to battle with a signature character at the culmination of the TF, some of which can be fun encounters. You can find TF's forming daily in JFA2010 usually at all times of the day, so just keep an eye on the channel.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, beware the catgurls. -

You'd be assuming wrong. Issue 20 will contain the meat and potatoes of the new end game and they want to get a head start on testing the new systems now. Projections for Issue 20 hitting Live are early 2011.

Quote:Nothing at all. As I said I'm looking forward to the Incarnate system, which from what has been said about it is supposed to be full of non reward merit shinies. What is wrong with distinctive shinies that are not reward merits?
Quote:Since CoP is supposed to be SG based...they should award a temp power/bonus when you have SG members on your team or something to that effect, but the whole idea of simple merit rewards/min per task is pretty much the road to extinction if you ask me.
Now, if SG's were able to have slots like the current upcoming Incarnate slots that we could slot Enhancements in that gave bonuses whenever SG members were teamed, then I'd be all over that. You could have the CoP just drop random salvage that you would need to collect in order to craft whatever bonus enhancement. Or maybe have the trial drop a random recipe upon completion with the salvage dropped randomly during the trial off of the mobs, either way that is a system I could get behind because then my time spent invested will be rewarded in such a way that is on-par with the Invention system, i.e. a permanent reward.
You could even keep the caveat that the bonus only counts if playing in SG mode or teamed with a SG mate, but at least that bonus isn't going to disappear in a couple of days or after one use like a temp power does. You could also make it necessary that in order for the SG Enhancement to give a bonus not only must you be teamed with at least 1 SG member, but that member must also have that same enhancement slotted. Things like that could make for a different experience and add a new layer to rewards that currently just does not exist in our game.
Quote:Soon there will be Alpha junk to go around as well...another form of non tradeable currency that will inflate everything else around it.
If the CoP were to provide a new avenue of permanent power growth via the SG system as I suggested above in this post, then I'd have no problem adding it into my regular gaming rotation. As it stands presently, however, the CoP is presented to me, the player, as a Rewards Merit task with a randomly chosen temp power that expires in a few days. In light of that I judge it as being a poor investment of my time based on the risk/reward ratio. The merit reward portion of the trial is a joke and the temp power is a game of "let's see if the RNG loves me today or not."
I agree with the other stuff you're saying.

Quote:I'm going to be contrarian to your contrarian position while at the same time piggy-backing your view =o.o=I'm going to be contrarian here and say that I kinda like things the way they are. In fact if it was made harder I wouldn't mind either.
I think the whole game has been on a downward slope to easy street ever since the Hero respec trial was toned down.
The Master of ... badges were indicative of the general idea of why PvP also is a failure in CoX. Almost every single game/scenario/task force is geared such that the player wins...every time. Games where you win 100% of the time is frankly boring.
There should be events where only a few people are able to finish a task but the player base has been fed such pablum that everyone expects to be able to cruise through things without much difficulty. This leads to people leeching, door sitting or pouting just because they can't get their way.
I want some fiber in my diet. I know everyone wants nice things, but I really don't care about the rewards anymore...sometimes increasing the reward means that people just get greedier. Of course, finding people to help you do difficult tasks is compounded when they all say they want to do something that yields a better merit/minute number...
I would like at least a random recipe roll out of the trial. 20 merits seems fair. Maybe even split the reward table so that you can either take 20 merits OR X amount of merits + the temp power. Bump the difficulty up as much as possible/you like, but give me at least the choice of a random recipe roll out of it.
This game is super easy by design; a main ingredient of its appeal imo. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the coming Incarnate system will finally provide the challenge that some of us are looking for. As long as the rewards are even on the low end of acceptable for the challenge presented, I'll have no problem gravitating my play time towards that content on a regular basis.
As the CoP stands now for me, 6 merits just aren't worth my time especially when raid teams are requesting that I invest time in Shivans, HVAS and Warburg nukes. For that kind of investment I'd rather just zerg the Hamidon and take the 53 merits. -

I find that a lot of people on Justice like to say nice things to your face and then trash you behind your back. Haven't really run into the whole elitism thing much, though. Usually it's more a problem of preconceived perceptions, rather than an epidemic of braggadocio.
However, I may be jaded since I'm an elitist speed tf runner. -

Quote:I was there and did not notice said player bashing, although I guess the argument could be made that someone was talking about another someone who had that someone on global ignore?People seem to think "Adult Time" = drama and player bashing. They are unhappy with not being able to do such things and need to make a new channel.
