If they made it so you could GIFT an account one, that would be awesome. But so far I don't know that we can do any gifting *at all* still, which is something NC really needs to get on.
-
It would be sheer awesome, once they get an "underwater" function in the game proper, to have a flood. A real flood - instanced perhaps? But either way, a flood like in FAULTLINE where the water just goes higher and higher until you have to swim to wherever you are. Rescue missions, etc, possible there. Instead of a fire extinguisher, you have some kind of vaporizer to keep water off of things while people are running out...
Variety is better than outright "challenge" level imo. -
But MY point is: until people actually don't care any more, by exposure to the "real" furry community, that mistaken definition will continue. What better place than here, to start whittling away at that impression?

This may seem wierd, but up until either I13 or I14, I never recalled seeing a zone name at the top of the security entrances to the Hazzard Zones.
I don't mean at the guards you click on to go into the zone. I mean at the top of the War Wall entrance. It's just something I never really noticed before.
Thank you for the time...

To be fair, they DID change this earlier in the game's history. They didn't used to be there at all. Side-plaques, top of doorway, it was different. >_> I don't even notice them at all any more so I cant' even really say which way they ARE versus how they WERE, but they DID change. -
Yeah it's a kind of math thing that gets applied and adjusted.
I got lucky because my global gives me matrix green. I like matrix green -
There's already a lengthy discussion going on about naming.
My suggestion is to be more inventive, when choosing a name. If it's taken it means that plenty of other people have already thought of that name.
The consensus in that thread is that *banned* accounts should always have their names freed no matter what, but it's more and more sticky when you get into non-banned accounts.
I have 4 total accounts. 3 of them are unpaid right now. Many of the characters on them are just fillers for my various supergroups, but they aren't names like "filler 21", they're actual name-names. But - I strongly suspect that no one will actually *choose* the name "Quaid Orrish" or "Lumiere Kalkin" for their toons. All the characters I have ever made have a more meaningful name to them than "fire blaster".
Get creative. Name problem solved. Now, go head to that thread, not here. Long discussion is long. -
Vahz have always been back-blind. Always. You chose the one group which you COULD actually get that close to. Pretty much everyone else - unless you show me more ingame evidence - would notice you by then. That's a very specific case of ai being 'dull' from the start. Seen it since my *very first day* in the game 5 years ago, and see it today with that specific mob. Bad example.

Jay dislikes Furries.

Exactly why I said what I did earlier the crew is more likely to do stuff, if he's unwilling.
I think my mystification with the furry-hate here is that this community above and beyond most others has been demonstrably more tolerant and even recently banding together against trolling bigotry.
Why does it always seem to stop just short of actual tolerance for a reasonably rare and basically harmless side of things? I'm not saying there *are not* people who are pretty foul-ly deviant among the furry crowd, but I am saying that with a tiny bit of thought, you CAN understand that they are in the drastic minority.
But even people I know in person for whatever reason, suddenly get creeped out by "yiff" - the proper term for furry pron. Equating yiff with furry as a term for the same thing is a problem but I don't see THAT being broadly understood any time soon. I love furry pron too, I just don't dress up in costumes to do it.
I also don't dress up in a maid outfit, or a baby's bib, or a leather gimp outfit. How are those any different from having a fursuit? There's an entire community of people who simply don't identify with being "human" out there - way more than most folks like to admit, but it's very simple when it comes down to it.
Shamans have long espoused "animal totems" and such. Ancient cultures have always associated spirits with animals, gods and the like. It's something that is entirely integrated with our society from our ancient roots.
But yet, stick a fur suit on, and suddenly it's point and laugh... doesn't make sense
I used to dress up, but the costume got damaged in an apartment waterleak.
And yes, dressing like that at comic con got me PLENTY of free art. -
The Oranbega maps were upgraded at least twice that I know of. The original versions if I recall correctly didn't have ANY of the spiffy "glowy bits" cycling around those big wall hangings, then they got some, and then there were more details added reasonably recently.
Myself I just love looking up in some of those caves and seeing the carved heads with waterfalls coming down out of them, or the single beam of light illuminating an open tome on an altar. I really love the Oranbegan maps.
And the thing that I always love, is coming back to Portal Corp for the first time in a while, and just absorbing the massive noise and screenshake of the portals. -
... A "promise"?
Oh yeah... right. Because every single thing the devs have done in the game and commented on in the forums have been absolutely true to their original intent and description! What a great world we live in!
As for me, I like to point out to some of those commenters on various videos that not all games are for everyone. You don't like em, don't play em. -
Last year they did so some kind of freebie here/somehow connected to here, though I can't off the top of my head remember what.
An art contest or entry to a raffle, that'd be great. I do know that people were ebaying those codes, I can't recall - didn't one of them get up to like 400$? I don't think anyone here spoke up for having bought it, though. -

hehehehe, see, the drinkin works. -
You've bought all 36 slots open there? Because I know folks who've done that and had to resort to another account. Heck before they even GAVE us that many slots, I had to buy another account since 12 wasn't nearly enough on Protector for me.
-
NOOOOO I loved the dancin.
Sure it was a pile of nerds! But get enough liquor into us and we're wild and crazy just like anyone else! -
All too many of them, actually.... waaaaay too many. That's a shame about both your cat and your stuff. I still have stuff of mine from childhood, and while I certainly neither need nor want to really have it around me, I often just can't think of not having it.
I should donate some of my stuffed toys to kids that need em. -
>_> I have yet to buy the Architect edition beacuse I haven't got moneys. And I've already got the boosters. I want it, though, because of the disks. I've already got a stack of them from prior editions, but these would be more updated.
Lol when it comes time for me to update my poor laptop's version, oh yeah, that'll come in handy. Stupid wireless router not working. I dread that download lol. -
I've got almost all the set of Battle Beasts. Of course their little heat-sensitive chest plates don't work any more since they've been in storage like 20 years, but hey. They were adorable.
Oooh, should we ever get a nicer fox-looking head and tail, I will be making the little white-armored fox. That was my favorite. -
Your implication that someone who's going to the con is buying their way into the dev's choice slots is obvious and that's what I was responding to.
-
What you want is more *variety* in missions, and more complicated story telling, and I'm all for that. Branching outcomes I think are supposedly in the works - that's what Harlick hinted at in interviews I recall seeing with him. So, maybe we'll be getting way more of that with GR already, who knows! But yeah, more variety to things and more options to complete missions would be great.
-
No, they don't.
If your arc is good, show it to them in a pm.
If they like it, there you go.
This isn't preferential treatment, it's a CONVENTION.
You want to have your arc shown off? Make a good arc, advertise it, and refine it. sheesh. -
I know, but the extra stuff simply overtakes the nearly non-present squigglies on the sides. It'd become the focus of the top, and while adding some squigglies under the planty stuff might be nice, it really does nothing for me. :/
