I think it will be real hard for them to dodge talk of the "Party Pack", I hope that is why they have not posted about it on the boards.
I am pretty sure they will talk about Posi's end game content, and future plans for the awesomeness that is Preatoria.
Even with my current irks over the party pack, Preatoria is the best game story I have encountered since Bioshock. -

After GR went live, I submitted multiple tickets, and never got a response. I did it via the in game system. Normally I have one within 24 hours.

I said earlier I would buy it. I am not so sure. I hope there is still more to come in this pack. I hope the Devs see that most of the people posting dislike this, and make some changes.

I have noticed no one discriminates against stalkers on blue side either. There has been at least 1 on ever team I have been on the past few days. Good Stuff.

Quote:TY, you should have told them then this wasn't the best idea.Closed Beta leak. I knew about this a long time ago.
And they match what you can see in the trailer.
I love this game, and I really like the Devs. Part of liking some one, and loving something is the willingness to point out wrongs.
There needs to be more in this pack. As many have said, even one new costume would be enough to push it to the "buy" point, and not the "pass" point.
Quote:Just because they're releasing an emotes pack does not mean they're not also working on more costume packs. I think we have every reason to believe they ARE working on more costume packs - this probably didn't even take time away from costume pieces, since I'm pretty sure animation and art are separate teams. -
Where did you get those ZM?
I am disappointed. There massively requested items that seem to be overlooked constantly, things like Jet packs, holsters/scabbards, beast parts, pool customization, and the list goes on.
Yes we have wanted new dance emotes for a while (I have even posted on it), it just does not seem booster worthy.
I will still buy it, to support the game, but I think you guys could have done better on this one. -
Yup, looks like I was wrong, no casual wear. This one is pretty sad
Well, we can hope something really good is in the works...
I will still buy it, I have wanted new dance emotes for a while. Just looking at the massively requested items (beast parts, holsters/scabbards, and back packs) this just surprises me. This really should have been part of GR. -
Quote:The casual shirts, and clothes on the NPCs will most likely be in there too.If this is just emotes, it's gonna be the first pack I don't buy twice.
I don't think it will be bad, and I will buy it (even if just to help the game), I am just not as excited as I have been about other packs. I felt the same way about the wedding pack. -
Quote:If the Karate dance is in it, there is still a craptastic partReally? Reaaally? This actually genuinely upsets me, only because we get perhaps the worst dance emotes I've ever seen in a game, dance moves no one would ever do ever, and the devs give us much better ones for a price. That just feels really dirty.
"Here ya go, you get this craptacular ****. You want to upgrade to something that isn't ****? Gotta buy it extra." -
Quote:I love dance emotes, but I am not excited about this for some reason. I liked the idea of an NPC pack, or a monster pack. This from a guy who plays on Virtue almost exclusively. I hope I am wrong, and once I see it I am head over heals.Given the front page link that isn't quite working yet, it looks like it's the CoH Party Pack.
The only text available on the front page: "Ready to be the life of the party? Now you can be with the new City of Heroes® Party Pack coming your way this month! Jam-packed with all-new dance, nightlife and sports emotes, the Party..."

Yes, even if they do not give us a date, telling us what it is, and some pics would be great.
I hate to want more all of a sudden, but GR was a bit anemic in the costume dept. Seeing such great NPC costumes (holsters for Maelstrom) was even more annoying. -
Quote:This.
HOW that is achieved is irrelevant to the fact that it SHOULD be achieved.
Also this not a new discussion, it has been a topic for years. Here and there they do things that help (decreasing the cost of DA), but those are only band aid fixes, and whats needed is stitches.
Getting stam at 20 dosen't hurt like it once did, because I am a 69+ vet. I get a travel power at lvl 6, that takes a bit of pain out of swift, health, then stamina. -
Quote:I'll even give you that, but if you hate playing pre-Stamina, pre-Tier 8-9 powers, this is of little comfort. My quarrel with Going Rogue is that it focuses on a time period of the game I absolutely despise. Please note I'm speaking for no one else but myself, so let's please no mutant arguments about how I don't have any statistics.
Had Praetoria provided a leveling experience from 1-50, I think waiting for Issue 19 would be much more palatable because I could exemplar and do the 30+ content. I understand that a lot of folks like the game and love creating alts. I love creating alts, but seriously, I'm on my last row of 12 on my server. I've even given Praetoria a chance and created a few live alts.
I don't see why you folks all have to swoop in and shout down anyone who expresses disappointment at Going Rogue. Sure people who were in beta have heard all this before, but the OP hasn't had the opportunity to give his feedback. His feedback was respectfully stated and fair and you all know that others have expressed the same view.
Wanted to chime in here. I think the dislike people have for the early game is a reflection of the crappy endurance system in this game. It has been the source of much conversation on another CoX community site I use. Stepping away from the pit bull grab the devs have on this (endurance) system, and LISTENING to the players, would make the pre 20 game MUCH more fun. Shoot if all they did was add 1 point of end per level or every even level the game could be more fun. Pre-stamina is not challenging, it is tedious.
The game dosen't need for it to change, and it works fine as is, but it could still decrease a lot of the hate people have for the pre 20 game. I can only speak for myself, but I log in to play the game, not take a knee every few mobs.
Also I do slot -end in all of my attacks before I even slot damage in them. Even with that, my claws/DA sucked wind like there was no tomorrow, and the only thing that finally made it fun was Physical Perfection. -
I hate to admit it, but I would buy new animations, I could even see picking and choosing from ATs I never use. I would buy Brute/Tank, and Scrapper/Stalker packs, and save money on the rest....ok that is a total lie, I would buy those too.

Which is fine with me.

Quote:I would shelf any release plans till after Star Wars, and the WoW expansion die down. I think I would wait at least a year, if not more. The likely hood of this to succeeded (if that is the plan with COX2, and IF they are making COX2), based on the shear number of high profile mmos coming out this year, the next, and the next years after, isn't high.
I would rather see constant upgrades to this game, than a CoX2 any way. -
A friend on another board hit the nail on the head. If you play a console online service (like x-box live) you pay monthly for that service. If you want DLC from that service you have to pay for that too.
This is just DLC, it is all stuff we "want" not stuff we "Need" to have.
I don't mind the Boosters, as long as new costume items are still placed in the game for free. I think David's project of making NPC costume items for players should be free. Those art resources are already in the game.
I think paid boosters should be reserved for new resource development. Personally I don't mine throwing a little extra money at Paragon studios. That extra money can add new people, and at the least pay for a little extra over time.
The 15$ a month dosen't cover as much as we think it does. There is a reason so many games have gone to micro transactions. Even the mighty WoW has them now. That reason is that costs just aren't being covered. Game Devs don't make the mad cash some think they do, combine that with the cost of living in GA, and I bet it sucks.
Now, back on topic...
I would like more monstrous parts, and a height slider increase. I want my Brute to be as tall as a Lost Aberrant. -

They're servants of a system that is rotten and corrupt to the core, and it's very existence is a crime against humanity. -
I have a mix of brutes and scrappers at 50, and I was one of the ones out heavily testing this in beta. Even with this change, my brutes do these two things better than my scrappers. Just sayin.
