What threads are you reading Dahjee? I can't find any threads where everyone's #1 focus is spike damage on EVERY CHARACTER. All I see are people with informed opinions on how to optomize each archetype in a different manner.

The first time I met Mondo in game was in Pocket D. I was editing some of my costumes and he sent me a /tell informing me that I shouldn't have super speed on because it was annoying him. -

And every channel I'm in is all "SF this" and "TF that." You have to hide under a rock to solo in this game. And the zone chatter is all, "LF Sewer Team this" and "Starting a Midnighter Arc" that, and "Praetorian Arc run through." The zone chatter in every neighborhood is a team scroll.
Hence using all the global hide options so often. But then, for the OP, maybe that is drastically less than they are accustomed to.
Oh and MondoCool has no friends, hence no team invites. Discuss. -

I'm not sure about "holding your own". Brutes tend to suck in PvP. You can make your team-mates lives easier though by taunting all incoming damage dealers & web grenading team targets.
Build for +HP bonuses from IO sets. Get the four +HP & +End accolades. You should be aiming for 2100 - 2200 HP.
Aim for 41 KB Protection from IO Sets.
Powerpools:
Speed (Hasten/Superspeed)
Leaping (Combat Jumping/Super Jump)
Fitness (Hurdle/Health/Stamina)
Concealment (Stealth/Invis/Phase Shift)
Your epic should be Black Scorpion. (Web Grenade/Focused Accuracy.)
Any attacks you use should be slotted 4 mako/devastation and 2 damage procs, or 3 HO Nucleus & 3 damage procs. -

Virtue & Freedom have experienced growing numbers of PVPers in Recluse's Victory due to free server transfers. At night there is usually a fair few people going back and fourth.
Oh and don't worry about Cien Fuegos. Most of us ignore him.

Wait a week. People are starting to sell this enhancement off the market and the current going rate is 3.8 billion. Once more people get wind of this the rate will go up even more. I'm guessing it'll be 6 billion by this time next week.
And I didn't know you PVP'd Fire Wyrm.

Even when the debate between farming and marketeering is concerned, I still sit and wonder why people would argue between which is better when both are great and best used in tandem. -
I'd quite like for PVP to be left alone. I don't want to invest time & energy into a whole bunch of characters (again) just to have the entire system completely revamped. This isn't COV BETA anymore guys. PVP has been live for YEARS now.
I understand MMO developers like to chase the timesink. They need long arduos tasks to lock players into subcriptions. But continual revolution of the PVP system would be completely over the top. At some point your players will realise that their time is wasted here if they're constantly having to respec their characters / level up new characters / farm / spend billions on IO's due to PVP overhauls. -

My take on farming, depending what you are doing, how and how good you are, it can exceed your marketeering capabilities.
Farming is more additive of an inf income. My farm toons average 25-40 mil in PURE INF an hour, considering its tweaked to MAX effiency. Averaging in the drops, an hour will make me, maybe, 200-400 mil. This is if I have the attention span to devote ONLY to farming and pursue it with a single-minded purpose.
Marketeering is a multiplicative inf income. My marketeering is much more profitable, however, I can not exceed the profit made by farming with marketeering with only 1 toon, however the case may be with me, I have to the tune of 12 or so 50s in which to use the market slots.
Overall, I think it is best if you do the C. Option.

Using both, in a serious drive for cash, a bil in less then a RL week is not uncommon. Thats me only playing Sat, sun and wensdays.

Farming still seems like small time if you're not using all the money you make with it to flip expensive stuff. I should really get into flipping purples/numinas/miracles/LOTG/Zephyr. I guess i'm just worried about losing money on the market. -

I know a couple /tells saying good job & a few posts on a message board aren't much compared to 2 months work...but hey. I enjoyed it
