I got 2 uncommons from 2 Keyes trials tonight on my MM, several other players got commons. So I'd say that if the better chance at rares is somehow tied to the participation metric, you might want to take a look at the percentages.

Quote:This is correct.I think I'm reading too much into the advice here, but I wanted to make sure.
It *sounds* like people are saying that you can:
1. Reach level 5 and turn off XP (to make sure you stay level 5).
2. Go to KR.
3. Do 3 missions + safeguard
4. After the safeguard, get to pick a new contact.
5. Because you are still level 5, you'll have the option to pick the *original* Atlas Park contacts, and do their missions. -
Quote:If you have had a subscription, without a lapse since September 1st, you should have the following:So if I've been billed in Nov. and my market points awarded should I now have 2 transfers and Reward tokens awarded since it went live in Sept?
September 13: +400 PP or +550 PP (if you finished tier 8), +1 Character Transfer Token, however many reward tokens you should have had with the conversion of the old system to new.
October 1st: +1 Character Transfer Token.
October 14th or billing day (whichever is later): +400 PP or +550 PP (if you finished tier 8).
October 23-28: +1 Paragon Reward Token.
November 1st: +1 Character Transfer Token.
November 9th or billing day (whichever is later): +400 PP or +550 PP (if you finished tier 8).
November ??: +1 Paragon Reward Token.
So, effectively, everyone but those who had their old Veteran Reward Program award in September was shorted 1 Paragon Reward token. -
Quote:I've seen 5, maybe 6 rollbacks on this game. Usually they are caught and executed in a matter of hours. Though one time the rollback was 3 days.To put it succinctly, on every MMO I've worked on, that count is up to 4 now, the words Rollback also mean a loss of customer progression from the current time stamp to the point of restoration. This means the loss of every item/loot dropped, any experience or levels, any achievement earned...you get the point.
One additional time didn't really matter because it was during Issue 18 closed beta, and sort of expected. It took a week to get the beta back.
I agree. However, I do question the rationale for pushing this live when the UI bug was a known issue and that the feedback for the collection feature seems to have been completely ignored. -
Quote:UI bug? Reported. Also, my personal belief is that not enough actual testing got done during this particular beta, which is why the update is missing one of its key components and so many other bugs are now popping up.
Collection screen feedback? No changes based on player feedback.
Base Vs Player? Amusing, but I didn't see any reports.
Venessa? Well, reading the thread, she was reported and re-numbered #6.
Knockback bug? Yeah, too many people playing with Titan Weapons. -
At level 20, all Praetorians are given the choice to go to the Rogue Isles or Paragon City. That choice turns them to being a villain or hero, though they are still Praetorian. It doesn't matter if they are a loyalist or rebel.

The joke is all the players that screamed that they were being treated like dirt with the introduction of Free to Play with Issue 21.

Quote:There is no difference between getting the perks on the first of every month and getting them every month on your billing day.Well, whether it's the only thing working reliably or not, I do not want to wait most of the month I paid for to get Paragon Points or a reward token. If I had to wait until the 1st of December for November's stuff (since my bill date is on the 6th, and I assume they're not going to let me get my points ahead of time), I'm not really liking the 1st idea.
And that is exactly why I'm saying the first day of the month would be best. You don't know. I don't know. However I do know that the character transfer token is working.Quote:All three should be given at the same time, and bill date is the best way of doing it. We can see it on our accounts, and it makes sense for the rewards system. I'm not even sure why there is such a tech issue with it, as NCSoft certainly has no issue with ending or starting your account EXACTLY 30 days, 60 days, etc., after you started it.
The problem is that the Billing Group is likely not a direct part of Paragon Studios. They are, most likely, working directly for NCsoft.Quote:I know, because I often have to let my account lapse for a couple days or weeks, then restart it. The account always lapses at the same time I started it up, which is in the evening (when I play the game, and therefore restart the account). If they can be so precise with that, there is no reason the tech can't work for the rewards. I personally figure it's just not enough resources being allocated to the problem. -
Quote:The thing is that it doesn't matter if your billing date is the first of the month or the last day of the month. You will still be paying for a month. The first of the month is an easily recognized break point. So much so that even Paragon Studios is giving out the server transfer on the first login after the beginning of the month. The server transfer token is the only consistently working VIP perk that everyone has received. Even the year tokens have been botched up.I don't really care if they give us all our points on the 1st of the month, though... I just want to get them on the bill date. Then we know what to look for, and frankly, that makes sense. Depending on when your bill date is, the 1st could be far, far after then, which is not all that helpful for a rewards program in a game where you pay for game time.

Do you use Group Invisibility or Superior Invisibility? I'm guessing you are using Group.
Group Invisibility has a PVE Stealth of 60, and provides invisibility to Minions, Lieutenants, Bosses, Elite Bosses, and Archvillains.
Superior Invisibility has a PVE Stealth of 200, and provides invisibility to Minions, Lieutenants, Bosses, Elite Bosses, Archvillains, Turrets, Giant Monsters, and Snipers.
The doors are acting like turrets as far as being able to see you. -
Quote:I thought it was incarnate XP that was changed to apply to the league, not threads (thread drop rates were simply scaled up with league size AFAIK)Actually it is both Incarnate XP and thread drops. On the other hand 2 players on the same team can get different amounts of Incarnate XP.Quote:incarnate xp still doesnt breakdown properly across a league, only across individual team
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Patch_No..._Trial_Rewards
Quote:Incarnate System
Incarnate XP and Incarnate Thread drops are now split evenly across the entire League which earns credit for the reward. -
Quote:I know, but I just felt like being lazy. Also, you are free to make any corrections you feel necessary, as are any other players reading the wiki.

Thank you.Quote:(I edited the note since people seem to not want to do things themselves.)

Quote:I think only Stalker Hide or Illusion's Stealth can get into those doors. If you could move with it possibly shadowy presence, but given the pulse damage and the fact that you have to move I doubt it.How exactly does the game determine if you're allowed to use the side entrance to the bunkers around the third reactor? As I understand it, you need a lot of stealth, but that's kind of vague. I can't use them on my VEAT with Cloaking Device, and I tried using them with Group Invisibility, Super Speed, and a Celerity proc on my Tanker, and still couldn't get in. Does it just check for certain stealth-granting powers, or something?
I think it checks for a PVE stealth of 100+, possibly 150+.
No, Illusion Controllers can enter it with ease. -
Quote:They should just fix it so that we get the Character Transfer Token, the Paragon Points, and the Paragon Reward Token the first time you log into the game after the morning of the 1st of the month.I do get your frustration... the rewards would make so much more sense at the start of the time you paid for, so I really hope a fix is going to be sooner than "soon."
I guess that is too simple, too easy to communicate, and too easy for their PAYING CUSTOMERS to understand. Clearly whoever was in charge of the design of the customer "perks" forgot the K.I.S.S. principle. They should be reminded of it.
Speaking about "whoever was in charge", I guess Second Measure lost interest in the monthly Producer's Letter.
I got mine yesterday. Still not sure when I'm supposed to be getting them on a regular basis.Quote:Speaking of which, Paragon Points are still fubared. At least for me, anyway. I had to let my account lapse for a few days, and started it up on October 6th. It took until well after (the 14th) to get the points, which was well after community mods said it should have come in (the 10th).
And here I am on the 9th, still without the November points. I'm going to be depressed and assume it will take until the 14th again, since that's when my account seems to like to be awarded. It's still annoying that it doesn't happen right on the billing date, and it's annoying that I still don't have Street Justice to play just because I'm waiting for my account to be awarded the points it should have received days ago.
You can check your NCsoft account for when you got your points. -
Quote:Aggelakis, your paragonwiki edit needs to be corrected. Any hero can access Fort Trident, even if they haven't done a hero morality mission. Any villain can access the Crucible, even if they haven't done a villain morality mission. It's a little vaguely worded since the text hasn't been updated since the first few days of GR (I'm in the process of finding better wording - "reaffirm" is only for repeating the same morality type, so the first bullet point mentioned below shouldn't be "reaffirm"), but it specifically states what characters get the first time they do a morality mission and each time after that

Quote:Most players would want up to 5x each set for a single character. The players have only received 2 allotments of 400/550 Paragon Points, in addition to the possible addition of 1,200 Paragon Points if the account was active from June-September. Only they've had sales already (costume sets, powers, other stuff), and these enhancements are only available until next week (possibly before players get their next allotment of Paragon Points). Additionally they are selling the Makos set for 450 PP/set, more than the monthly allotment. What's this talk of "real money"?? The store takes Paragon Points, which, as a VIP, you get a bunch of for free every month.
All this adds up to players having to fork over REAL MONEY for Paragon Points to outfit a character.
Saying a player doesn't need to spend money is an outright lie. -
Quote:200k NA players vs 100k EU players.Yes, I see this answer a lot, again the answer just doesn't make sense. How can you affect the least amount of people?
Best practices for database merging means you add the smaller database to the larger. Go through the smaller list adding each name to the larger.- Take name from smaller list.
- The computer checks as each name to see if the name already exists.
- If the name exists, then the new (EU) name gets changed.
- If the name does not exist, then the name doesn't get changed.
- Add name to the larger list.
- Go back to step one until finished.
The GMs are not responsible for your misunderstanding of the problem. Then again, neither is it my responsibility.Quote:In order to conflict there has to be the same amount of people affected on a NA server then there are on the EU server, so if 10 from the EU had the same global as 10 on the NA they would conflict. Confliction affects either servers at the time equally, it's impossible for any side to be affected more or less, regardless of size of population.
So that answer did nothing to satisfy me, which is why I wrote a ticket and got no reply, which now I can't blame them for, if that was the best answer they could come up with and post. -
You are misunderstanding that.
The game treats villains/rogues as villains and heroes/vigilantes as heroes. However the game treats rogues in hero zones as "almost heroes" and allows teaming with heroes/vigilantes. Likewise, the game treats vigilantes as "almost villains" while in villain zones and allows teaming with villains/rogues.
There were points in the past where if you were a rogue on a hero task force, you would be booted from the team if you went to a villain zone, or a co-op zone (RWZ, Pocket D). That is what the message means.
It is a legacy of the game making certain assumptions as far as the character alignment when it comes to missions. Going to a co-op zone will not change a rogue to a villain or a vigilante to a hero. -
Actually, when you first turn rogue, you should get 30 reward merits. If you reaffirm your rogue status, you should get 60.
If you turn hero or villain at this point you should get 50 reward merits (they really want you not to be the middle alignments) for turning hero or villain, and one alignment merit if you reaffirm your status. -
Quote:This. Some smart alec in the web development group set most of them to expire at end of session.Looked and most of mine for the boards are set to expire at the end of session.
Then again, this is most likely the same group that can't make a proper store website (NCstore), in game market (missing basic functionality that says you have bought something), an account page that continues to claim anything you buy out of the game is a "perk", and presumably recommended the piece of garbage VBulletin in the first place. -
Quote:They do not level beyond level 25. After level 25, they stay at their level 25 values. If the level range is 10-25, does that mean that they stop working when the character becomes level 26?
They will continue to work as level 10-25 enhancements, depending on the character level, unless you exemplar to under 7 or advance beyond level 25.
Yes, that is exactly what it means. However it also means that you can't put them in the market, in base enhancement storage, or trade them with another account.
