From union? I don't know any defiant farmers that do that. The other night, a new player joined defiant.
And Me, Golden Girl, Alan, Qbit and then Jeff were sitting there with a new player, and we explained the advantages and disadvantages of farming. 3 of us are really big farmers, yet we took our time to explain things responsibly to him, and then he made the choice to play properly based on the facts we gave him (and GG threating him )

Anyway back to the topic at hand.

If we remove MA from certain lower level zones, this will not help you, or them, and it will definitly not have an impact on farming. You will still struggle to find none farming teams, and new players will still go and farm quite early on. So what'll be different? They get up to level 5 the normal way that'll be all. They'll then get told to go to kings, and the second they enter kings row, they'll be greeted with what is now Atlas Park spam. So all they'll be doing is PLing from 5 instead of 1. So what you need to ask yourself is "is it really worth trying to push a suggestion that will only stop new people PLing for 5 levels, or shall i think of something else that will allow a new player a chance to see more of the game before being greeted by the farm spam?"

Excelent guide, and i'll definitly be using it when i start a badge collecting phase (getting bored of farming now)

Isn't the mission "They Call Me The Doctor" (badge mission) Ghostable? I've not done that for a long time, but if it is, could it be more benifical to do that one for the merits? If not, then ""

With more higher levels AE farming is a great thing. Its nice to see a few extra 50's wanting to try PVP and TFs. And if you guys were actually helping these people instead of moaning about them, the game would be so much better.

I15 : 15/100. The +15 is for the TFs. The -75 is for removing all the badges, new faces that aren't much different to what we have, and so little content i could download it faster than fat people can eat MacDonalds

I16: 70/100.

I like the way that the devs are trying to cut down on farming, yet when they post about power customisation, the pictures they show are of the fire control - fire imps.... which is basically whats ruined COH in the first place as they are the biggsest farmers.

Dev 2: Lets allow people to do power customisation.
Dev 1: Okay i like it!
Dev 2: And then what we'll do is on the forums, we'll adverstise the fire control pets as a different colour.
Dev 1: Thats the most stupid idea i've ever heard, i said get rid of farming, not make more people want to play fire control which could essentially create alot more farmers

Its the whole power set.

If you right click and save the picture, it'll tell you the default name that the devs have saved it as.

When solo : great with masterminds, you can keep your pets alive with some practice and makes highest rep missions easy. With a corrupter, its not the best for solo play as very little (especially low levels) effects you.

When teaming: Also great. Not as good as empathy (in my opinion) and you can never have it as a primary, so it'll take a long time for the good healing powers to become available.

Still sort of on topic: I did mean using MA.

Simple answer that i don't think anyone has suggested. Make MA a zone itself. Sort of like Midnighters club (MA is bigger that that tiny place so i don't see it being a problem)

You click on the door (like Midnighters) and LOAD into the MA building instead of just entering it.

It'll stop the spam in the lower level zones.
It'll be eaiser to impliment a level restrition if the devs choose to do so.
It'll stop confusing chat with some people wanting MA and some people wanting normal missions etc.
It'll mean new players don't see an easy option to level as soon as they enter the game.


I would say however that unlike the midnighters club, they won't join together.
So if you type /sea on heroes they'll be

Atlas Park Mission Architect
Steel Canyonn Mission Architect

etc etc


Personally i just use RWZ to powerlevel all my new charactors anyway.

It seems to me (without reading all of the posts) that the main problem is people talking about farming in broadcast.

Either ask them to talk in local, or remember...

I have a couple.

First off, my empaths. Everyone who's known me for more than 3 years (quite a few still play ) knows my "fondness" for empathy. When i first joined i made a pure empath called Isoceteth. It was the only toon i ever played for years. Only toon i've ever got both the 6th healing badge and 6th influence badge on. But then one night i was tired and i deleted her by mistake :'( (i wanted to delete the one underneath) Anyway after that i became Hey Man. Since then i've had loads of charactors, and even a second account (because we couldn't have extra slots back then)

Then came my fire/kin, Hey Farmer. He's now my favourite by miles, the one i spend most of my time on, the one who i earn the inf on for other charactors etc.

I also remade my empath, but due to lack of high level teams doing normal missions, i only usually bring her on if something is advertised in defiant events. So if any teams want an empath, lemme know

Well i might aswell add a few, even if i'm not the best of spellers around here.

"Makes your attacks 7,5" should be "7.5"
"7,5%%" should be "7.5%"
"25%%" should be "25%"

"12.5%%" should be "12.5%"

Note : The extra percent symbol is incorrectly added once you have right clicked that inspiration and clicked detailed info. It is however only in the inspiration description and not when you only right click it.

Its a seriously good idea actually. As with the poster i am in a seperate SG (just me and the girlfriend) so to store everything and keep it safe.

Maybe have a skyscraper in some zones (not every). And when you click on the door it'll give you the option to access your own flat, or that of your global friends. In your own flat you can edit it (the same way as SG bases) to buy storage items( I'd love to see little piggy banks to store inf ) and decorative features. It could open up alot of new doors for the game, and bring the community together more (flat decorating competions and house parties ftw).
Or was that taking it too far?
