    I have played the following sets on controllers: lvl 50 fire/, lvl 46 ice/, lvl 45 Ill/, lvl 36 Earth/, lvl 39 mind/ (didn't like the powers so delted), and a lv 12 elect/.

Have a concept for a Earth/Fire and I like the controls earth has.

Are Doms welcomed on TFs or given the pity spot usually reserved for trick arrow defenders (btw the first 50 was a trick defender )?

How does this class rank damage wise (blaster/scrapper damage or closer to trick arrow defender damage)?

What are some things I should expect from the AT or little known things that generally people don't know about?

Thanks in advance for you help/suggestions/stories.
Damagewise, dom is quite good. They have a high modifier. I have a earth/psi; and I do like it very much. Some powers from earth do not benfit much from Domination though (those locational powers, I think). Earth does -def in some powers and can slot some debuff procs too - good for tfs. Earth also comes with a solid tanker pet.

I have a mind/fire perma dom ready for i19. Fire is good damagewise. Mine is a mind/fire/ice. It does not mess around: go in, kill them all, job done.

Being a perma dom is good although not as good as in the olden days. There are, I believe, cheap and cheerful way of slotting one to perma; but I know not how. Mercifully, I do have the resources for those awkward sets.

Too bad you don't like mind. I would say, from personal experience, it is a popular choice for teaming; and it benefits from Domination a lot. I have seen some lv50 gravity around in tfs. Despite what others are saying about them. those gravity were doing quite well - although they did occassionally get a bit silly by wormholing the mobs away from the tanker/brute.

Otherwise, try plant. But I don't know what best to pair with it. (any suggestion will be welcomed)

Generally, most team will benefit from a well played dom. Doms offer good damage, and keep mobs away from the squishies, and those good ones can keep an AV on perma hold.
  3. I am going to respec and slot my Mind/Fire/Ice. I am not sure if I should take Frozen Armour. It would certainly help to softcap my build but does it really needed? I am actually thinking of taking all of the other 4 APPs.

Otherwise, I could trade Hoarforst for Forzen Armour and use sets and accolades to boost my HP.

    Thanks for any advice.

    /Traps

I know that fire/trap can take on an AV or a GM solo. What other /trap combos can do the same?

Would that make Snap Shot even better since it has faster recharge. I gather all the casting time are the same these days.

Would the proc work in DoT power better, like Blazing Arrow?

Fire/EM is probably better than Psi/EM in 2v2s (or 3v3s maybe) because Flares is retarded (slot a hold proc, put it on auto, win) but in duels or large team stuff Psi/EM's just that much better.

Sonic is nice for setting up spikes with Screech but that's usually the job of the Rad/Sonic. If you're not going to be doing lots of arena, sure, Son/EM is fine.

Why is it slotting Flare with proc is so powerful?

    Thanks
  7. Oh... otherwise it would be good

    Thanks
  8. If I slot the +Self heal proc (from Call of the Sandman) or +Placate proc (from Fortunata Hypnosis), would I have the chance to be healed or placated every time Static Field is fired?

    Many thanks.
  9. Does any one know how to customerise the colour of a power to make it looks like the colour of the chestbeam from the Praetria Clockwork Dismantler?

I quite like that shade of red on my energy blast but could not figure out how to mix it.

    Thanks
  10. Ah, thanks all.

Just one more thing: does the -res from the blast apply before the damage deal or after?

    Thanks again
  11. If I have fast recharge, would the -res from the same power stack with itself?
  12. Which one does more damage a sonic/sonic corr or sonic/sonic def?

    Many thanks
  13. Wings.

Nicer if they are hung naturally on the back. Wings are extending too far from the back while resting. And they don't move natural enough - they are stiff solid - while the character is moving. Nicer if they swing like capes or tails. And they don't necessarily need flipping every time the character jumps.

Also, keeping the wings fully extended while flying will look rather cool.

At the moment, wings look like an awkard scaffolding stick out from the back.
  14. Constantly keep redrawing simply makes fighting aesthetically less pleasing to look at and conceptually awkard to understand (I am fighting with my claws; retract; Sand of Mu or Practiced Brawler or Burn; and there are the claws again).

I have tried to cope with it and now to the point of ignoring it all together.
  15. Basic movement using those of Seer or a Ghoul.

And yes, holding those big weapons with both hands would probably one of the most popular choice. Please make a two-hand scythe option for the Axe set, and I make one instantly!
  16. How about all forms of sonic powers are blasted out by using some sort of device, equipment or even musical instrument?

Sciences and Tech origin characters can use device and Magic can use a musical instrument.

It would be nice to have Whip/Whipping animations for some of the blast sets.
  17. Which one is tougher: ninja/trap or ninja/storm?

In fact, there are some identical or almost identical animation with different casting times in existence already. Whatever you are saying is not necessary. Just need to organise them and make them assignable to different powers of the players choosing.

The current Teleportation animation needs to go. Or at least makes it more sleek and stylish: I think staying animationless and suddenly disappearing and reappearing in the target location will do the trick nicely - and perhaps better suited for the general preception for the comic-style teleportation.
  20. How about alternating animations? One or two or even three animations for one power, then alternating between them. For example, for Broadsword - Headsplitter, there can be a back hand or a forehand swing; or a single hand hit or a both hand hit. Alternating between them makes fighting sequence more interesting to watch.

Alternative movement animations would be nice too. I always want some of my characters to float like a Mu without the trouble of taking hover (hover mimicks it but sometimes the fly mechanism is just not themetically necessary anyway).

Also, adding inertia/momentum into the moment animations (e.g. sprinting, ninja running, SS, SJ) would be indeed very welcoming too. Fly has inertia in the form of a gliding stop. I always wonder why the others don't have something similar.

Introducing different alternating 'en-garde' and taunt animations would be very good too.

I suppose a 6-year-old animation system does need some updating to make it more fluid and dynamic - and perhaps life like.

In fact, just thought of it: how about customerisable animations? Perhaps a simple example would be having a number of different blast animations that are adaptable to all the non-weapon using blasts (e.g. left hand blast, right hand blast, arm holding still blast, arm pushing forward blast, both hands blast, both arm holding still blast). For example, a Fire Blast blaster can use a left-hand blast to shoot Flares, then right-arm-holding-still to do Fire Blast, then both hands to Fire Ball, etc. Players could arrange a left-right-left-right sequence for their blasts. Or a one-arm Fire Blaster who shoot only from the right (perhaps a robotic) palm. Or a pyro-psychic who generates fire blast by putting both hands next to the temples (a bit like Dominate from Mind Control).

Like colour taintable powers, players can choose from an option list what sort of animation to assign to each power at the Tailor. Some of those blasting animations are already in existence. The idea is to generalise them so the players can choose what sort of animations should go with the powers and theme of the character.

It suddenly opens up a wider possibility of character customerisation and more personal game play experience.
  21. I was trying to make an wild animal character for my claws brute. I realise that the body parts that can be used to create an animal or a beast looking character is quite limited.

It would be nice to have some more animal heads, say a lion head or some sort of wolf heads. Rabbit or kitten heads would be fun too. It is not possible to add any head gear on those Monster Heads at the moment. I think changing that would be good. Good to see an armoured beast.

There is no paw at the moment. The monstrous feet options are again quite limited. Feline and Canine ones would be a nice addition.

Hedgehog and dinosaur costumes are fun too.
  22. Well, if they are going to work on Granite Armour, please do something with the Ice Armour/Ice Shields as well. Those shields or toggles often over the custome and they are equally as unstylish as well.

    Please...
