And a really nice argument for having copyright expire in a more reasonable time frame so corporations can't permanently control parts of the culture.

    League Lag

Seems to be common when leagues grow above two or three teams. Hopefully whatever was done with the last patch will be undone with the next.

There is more than enough evidence that prior to the last patch it was very possible to influence the table you received. There is also virtually no way anyone could have done enough trials on enough variables to rule out the ability to influence the reward. Saying otherwise is either wishful thinking or an attempt to influence community opinion.

  6. I'd go for more freeform character building than what we have now.

    1. Make tiers 1-3 of both primary and secondary available at level 1
    2. Instead of 4 pools and an epic just make it 5 power pools
2a. Epic power pool available around level 15
    3. Loosen up on the requirements in picking powers from the pools maybe dividing into 2 tiers instead of 3 and allow picks from tier 2 after 1 from tier 1
    4. More options in both primary and secondary choices.
    5. Eliminate tieing inherents to particular powers. This was a rotten idea and is something that really needs to be fixed in the current game. Bruise should not be tied to something that is usually a poor choice, defiance shouldnt have gutted variety from blaster builds.

Change the way mez works from shutting down everything to just shutting down offense. There is no reason that mez should be the equivalent of a oneshot for anyone

Tried to keep as much of your original build as possible while cheaply making you less squishy. This build gets you close to the softcap on range, it also takes you up to nearly 50 percent s/l resists without turning on force of nature. Your pff is also much more available. With careful shopping you should be able to get this together for less than 200 million

The point being you are going to be electing the winners beforehand. At best you do it as a group, at worst you have a team leader that is aware of the scoring system and decides to sneak one past.

So I know in comparison how terrible the design for Lambda is.

Mo baf in a single run is a different problem. The combination of the requirements for the badge and the reward system means two of the teams have to be willing to take lesser rewards when getting the badge.

You said exactly what I pointed out - it isn't that fun but the reward is good and it only takes 30 minutes, so what is the harm? The harm is this will be what the game becomes if it is encouraged.

Give it a week maybe two, its going to become really hard finding 16-to 24 people to run these things. On smaller servers the multiple zone instances of people waiting to do them are already a thing of memory.

It's that simple. The trials are designed with a certain base level of difficulty and coordination required. For the time being the devs want to give this content a de facto exclusivity in earning rewards.
Forcing people into the trials and that is what this is about isn't a great idea. It also strikes of completely disregarding all player feedback, and invalidating the changes that were made to appease players.

I19 shards are dropping only from level 50 people are concentrating in a few tfs and getting burned out on them.

I19.5 WST notice of the well and double merits BRILLIANT !!!!! You get rewards that help all your alts and advance your incarnates. The playerbase now has all kinds of options and it becomes incredibly FAST and easy to get teams going

I20 Someone visits paragon studios randomly hits the devs on the head with a hammer giving them brain damage and amnesia. Players are forced into very limited content that requires teams larger than ever before, long waits while they are being assembled and is in the category only bring your most uber uber toons. Just for a kicker there is a new reward system that will double hurt you for not being uber

What are the lessons from i20 ?

Players like to play the game at their own pace and style

They like being able to distribute rewards amongst their characters (Technically whichever issue introduced glemail)

    http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...&postcount=233

Archery is not very weak at all, especially when you factor in its AoE abilities.

6th for me is kind of meh. But you illustrate a very good point, archery starts strong single target and drops behind as IOs come into play. Its the same type of problem that blasters have over all.

Just looking at that post its kind of dated as 300% recharge in the powers is very possible currently

Archery is literally the second best all around Blaster primary, even with the fact the it is mostly lethal damage (which a hint of fire) due to its quick animation times, and ability to build definance up quickly.
You just aren't serious here and I have to guess trying to be provocative.

Archery st chain is blazing->aimed->snap shot

It takes 5 seconds to run and does roughly 290 damage base over that give 100% damage enhance in the powers 50% from defiance and another 60% from aim and buildup give you 180 dps Meh.

The seers have the best buff pet. Nearly permanent fortitude for +5% def, +to hit and +dam. I went the non-targetable route so I don't have to worry about trying to keep it alive. The damage pet is problematic. As a blaster drawing its aggro to yourself is a no win and all you have to keep it going is your destiny buff and whatever leadership you have.

Ion is broken, that much is true, but the other powers really don't step on any toes.
You are arguing from lack of experience. Having rain of arrows on a league full of judgements is an exercise in frustration. Its even more annoying seeing as an archer has mediocre single target and almost all of it is smash/lethal. That is from experience.

If you really want to go there, Ageless makes kin's useless, especially at t4 boosts, where its perma, Rebirth makes healers useless (especially the +regen one), Barrier makes all +res and +def shields useless (again, at higher tiers once its perma) and clarity makes any mez protection useless (even toggles!)
    Fulcrum shift much ?

Sorry last time I played this game you had bunches of small things to kill on your way to that one thing that really needed dps.

    Quote:
There are so many AoEs that do more damage then judgements on much faster recharges that it really won't affect blasters at all. Heck, the majority of those AoEs are available to blasters already. I think, aside from Shield Charge and Lighting Rod, the other powers that rank as high as Judgement powers (the 400-500 damage range) are ONLY available to blasters, due to AT scaling. A defender's Rain of Arrows isn't going to match a Judgements, and while a Corruptor's may get close, its only during Scourge.
When you say so many you mean 2 available to blasters. Hail of bullets is on a longer base recharge.

Well for one thing part of that number is because emps are able to buff those pets and keep them alive and blasters really can't even with the new abilities. So you are left with the blaster as an AT that has a negligible dps advantage a survivability deficit to everything else in the game and is solidly in the same boat as melee ATs in buff/debuff capability.

The other big problem is that the game is ceasing to be game if you want to be a "GOD" and just bust stuff up, download a 3D environment, some scenery and go blow it away.
