Considering Walk is not able to be slotted with enhancements, can we have Walk removed from the enhancement management screen? Really minor, just something so it doesn't take up space on the right side with the pool powers.

I pretty much like the idea. However....
Quote:My impression is that if the graphics can't be brand new, they wouldn't do it at all, regardless of if the fanbase would be fine with the low art solution. I hope I'm dead wrong but that was the impression that I got.I'm under the impression that Low Art is important as someone mentioned in one of the Panels that were posted on the site the possibility of adding such things to the base. He said that the capability already exists, and they're just waiting on the art. The artist then said he's been working on Going Rogue, and would have to design something awesome and unique for each such thing. -
Out of curiousity, what was the final AT and powerset makeup?

Quote:I was on a Barracuda recently and this same problem was present in the final battle though it didn't click in my mind at the time. Luckily, the Brutes were much more respectful than your example.
I was on a Dr. Kahn TF a couple months back while playing a Blaster, and I had a terrible experience where I was being defeated constantly: even though I was teamed with two Tankers. The problem was that these two Tankers loved to stand by each other and attack whatever was in front of their face. The problem with that was huge swarms of foes ignored their little circle of gauntlet, and gleefully dropped their teammates as much as possible. -

What all maps/missions are there that have:
- Traps that can hurt the player
- Traps/dangers that can hurt both the player and their enemies
- Traps that only hurt enemies

Quote:I generally cringe a little whenever I hear of a poorly played Stalker. However, I think you mean well but it's better to err on the side of aiding the team in most situations. Even for RP reasons, Recall Friend makes a large amount of sense for team play if you're doing the "get in and get out" routine with your Stalker. Plus, you have a sizable amount of ability to scrap with your Stalker which is good as the situation arises.Thank you for this information. I did not know that this was the term and I will use it in my pre-invite communication.
Quote:the goal is the find the key first you skipped that and leeched your way threw the mission just to sit at the end.
Hopefully no one here has taken offense to anything I've said in any of my posts. I'm just trying to learn and understand, not to irritate people.
You have one rather key disadvantage and that's being new. Most people are very helpful and forgiving if they know that but off of a random pug most will assume you've been here a while and thus assume you're simply being a jerk as opposed to misunderstanding your team role. Simply ask questions and try to gauge the flow of things. -
With the number of available Stalkers, I'm going to bow out. I have a few schemes to be working on in the meantime. Good luck!

Attempted to participate in the redside version but due to a lag crash I switched to blueside. Fun but seemed rather short (though I notice red and blue were different in length). Also, since I stuck my head in when you did the Carnie event on other servers, it didn't seem like the dev-NPCs were as responsive to crowd comments and reaction. I also think lag is both inevitable and avoidable at the same time. Find clever ways to split the crowd in half would help lessen it some.
I have to wonder how much room the community reps have to experiment with the structure of these events. While doing so unawares might be mean (or funny...), the Rikti event showed that players can be spontaneously flagged for PvP in the open world and this event seemingly had the CoT baddie as a skin for an actual rep-controlled Defender. We know that a bit of spawning can be done out in the open. I wonder if any form of forced level manipulation is available since there's a ton of interesting mobs that simply don't exist in the 45+ range. Even with that, I wonder exactly which NPCs they do and don't have control access for...
All that said, I wonder how open they are to direct event idea suggestion. -
Quote:It never hurts to bring more Stalkers...Since people keep mentioning stalkers, maybe I won't care what I bring :S

What..? I mean, it's not like I have anything else in the level range. I'll try to see if I can make it. If so, Claws/Willpower. Probably respec/tweak things in my build over the next few days.
You better tank that Reichsman, Mental! -
I find it interesting that different servers are getting different events. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses though I hope it's designed to be more dynamic than some of the others as far as placement so it doesn't epically lag because a huge number of people are in the exact same spot. Something that will probably be twice as evident redside due to MMs and Patron Power pets and the fact that this will be in Cap which is already a heavily trafficked zone.

Quote:Oops, I just meant the knockdown proc instead of the entire set.Probably not. Positron's Blast is almost as effective for a fraction of the price (leave out the Dam/Range and put in a generic recharge if you 6-slot). Purple sets can be useful on a scrapper, but I'd work on a purple set for my melee powers before putting one in my epic pool.

Quote:Yeah, I think that if -recovery was added to more attacks in the set then it would be fine, even if it were just in PvE.Sleep is useful if you use it correctly, which is to say put one target to sleep and ignore it. Short-duration sleep is patently useless, which is what surprises me about it being present in some Electrical attacks, but a decently long-duration sleep is a powerful mitigation tool. Area effect sleep, especially, is highly useful.
As for the topic at hand, I think the real problem is with the lack of availability of -recovery effects. No matter how far you drain an enemy, they recover enough endurance for basic attacks pretty quickly. The only way to drain them effectively is to drain them and keep them drained. Granted, Electrical Melee and Electrical Armour both have that endurance drain aura which can do just that, but that's a feature of the secondary, which in itself doesn't have a lot of drain to its name. It's only when you combine Electric with Electric that this really works, and it shouldn't.
So, instead of applying a hold at these percentages, which would be quite problematic in terms of balance, why not have an increasing chance to apply a -recovery effect. If you've drained someone to nothingness, then your chance to kill his recovery is very high (I wouldn't make it 100%, but call it 90%), so you can basically KEEP him there without him recovering enough to attack while you're animating. -
Does the game have any way to increase the mag on TP Foe? To my understanding it isn't effected by Overpower or Domination and can only be slotted for range and endurance (well, and stealth procs).
-
It currently varies as of now with whether or not I take Stamina and I often lean towards trying not to get it. I already tend to be rather experimental with my choices.
I honestly don't think it would need to be the equivalent of 3 slotted Stamina to see a difference. Giving players the equivalent of single slotted Stamina along with speeding up the recharge on Rest would work wonders. -
Obvious solution is obvious: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showp...postcount=1068

Sorry to double post but are Intangibility and Knockback's magnitude affected by their schedule placement? I was under the impression that slotting them increases their mag and the page only mentions KB's distance.

Thanks. I wonder if a "redirect" topic link should be added to the wiki for that.

Quote:I'd argue that redside needs more content while blueside needs better content. Leverage adding more content to redside with revamping a lot of the older content blueside so it's much fresher.Heroes only have more content because CoH was developed exclusively for a number of years. CoV hasn't always been around so the disparity between the sides is simply an artifact of the difference in development time. More villain only content (without any commensurate hero only content) would simply mean that blueside players (which are a majority of the player base) don't get any attention simply because their game has been around for longer, which isn't a good reason to do anything at all. They'd do much better sticking with their current strategy of releasing equivalent amounts of content for each side rather than attempting to give CoV 2+ years of specific focus in order to try to balance out the content disparity.

Was curious about how the Schedule A-D on enhancements is set up but it's not showing anything in ParagonWiki. Does it go by some other name that I simply don't know of since I'm new?

My arc shall be 99% Statesman free. There's a small chance I may mention him in passing but he won't show up physically and won't be the one who gets depowered.
