Kadabra Kill risks all for Sigil!

A strange rumor is going around Paragon City and the Rogue Isles. It seems Kadabra Kill has uncovered an artifact of untold power, something that could perhaps be used in some manner to bargain for the soul of his wife Sigil. A crazed Death Mage known as the Disciple of Lilitu, a necromantic master, wants the artifact for himself and will stop at nothing to obtain it.

Rumor has it Kadabra Kill will be making a bid to deliver the artifact to the Midnighter Club, either in Founder’s Falls or Cap au Diable, around 3pm Pacific (6pm Eastern) on Wednesday, 2/10/10. While not all have reason to love Kadabra Kill, the Circle of Thorns getting a hold of even more mystical might is something no one should desire.

I find it interesting that different servers are getting different events. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses though I hope it's designed to be more dynamic than some of the others as far as placement so it doesn't epically lag because a huge number of people are in the exact same spot. Something that will probably be twice as evident redside due to MMs and Patron Power pets and the fact that this will be in Cap which is already a heavily trafficked zone.

Same here, would be nice if they set the red side event up so you could kick his rear..again. Hmm, maybe I'll see where Kadabawhatsit spawns and drag Deathsurge over to meet him.

How's the snow in Jersey Hamster? Here in harrisburg it started yesterday at about 6 and hasn't quit yet.

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Nope, no PvP, just a mini zombie invasion followed by a 2.485-second fight with a level 50 Defender masquerading as a CoT mage.

still, was good fun. It was also nice to see so many people in Cap at once all banding together... that horde towards midnighters club was a bit brutal, and contending with deathsurge as well, but fun nonetheless

Lasted a hour red side. Neviene is SLOW.

Attempted to participate in the redside version but due to a lag crash I switched to blueside. Fun but seemed rather short (though I notice red and blue were different in length). Also, since I stuck my head in when you did the Carnie event on other servers, it didn't seem like the dev-NPCs were as responsive to crowd comments and reaction. I also think lag is both inevitable and avoidable at the same time. Find clever ways to split the crowd in half would help lessen it some.

I have to wonder how much room the community reps have to experiment with the structure of these events. While doing so unawares might be mean (or funny...), the Rikti event showed that players can be spontaneously flagged for PvP in the open world and this event seemingly had the CoT baddie as a skin for an actual rep-controlled Defender. We know that a bit of spawning can be done out in the open. I wonder if any form of forced level manipulation is available since there's a ton of interesting mobs that simply don't exist in the 45+ range. Even with that, I wonder exactly which NPCs they do and don't have control access for...

All that said, I wonder how open they are to direct event idea suggestion.
