Quote:Given that:There are a few solid leaders out there who can make these trials farmable, u know it, i know it, and i know u know at least one person who can do it on your server.
- I'm pretty much "that person" on Triumph
- Most of the great trial runners have either switched servers or left the game
- I'm refusing to do any trials (even BAFs) without a solid team these days
-
Quote:By the way, if anyone is wondering why these two specifically, it is because of how they work.Well, if you are a VIP, get the Rebirth Core Epiphany (tier 4) or Rebirth Total Core Invocation (tier 3).
They first raise the target's HP cap and then heal the target. You can get some credit for a target at full health. More targets = more credit. -
People keep saying that, but I don't think they know what they are saying, at least on some servers they are the exception (as in no one is running them at all) rather than being farmed.
-
Well, if you are a VIP, get the Rebirth Core Epiphany (tier 4) or Rebirth Total Core Invocation (tier 3). Start using them a lot in trials. If you really want to be a munchkin about it, get on a flashback or TF, and start healing the soldiers behind Imperious in Cimerora with those incarnate powers. Should take you about a week. If you can find a friendly Master Mind (or a couple) and pets, you can speed that up.
For the mezz badges, a malta sapper or two works wonders (3 if you are on a tank). Don't count on any self-heals though. Find a door mission with Malta in it, clear the floor except for the sappers you want, aggro them, then stay in melee range. They'll hit you repeatedly with their stun sticks. -
Quote:Check out this finely hand-crafted link: Premium Accounts and Paragon RewardsWhat I'm curious about here is what I don't get with each of these options. The FAQs are great at highlighting the benefits of VIP membership, but I could care less about customer support - and other aspects are unclear. Can I permanently unlock Praetoria? Incarnate system? Episodic content? I'm not sure what I'm missing out on with each of these options, and CoX isn't going to highlight the places where customers are getting nickle-and-dimed (or in this case, five-and-ten-dollared).
Can anyone either answer this question or point me to an existing resource that answers it? -
It should be the exact same as the convention code/store bought power, in other words the inherent power.

Quote:As others have pointed out, that exists, and it is for each badge the league earns. How about this:
In order to make it worth the effort for folks that either already have the badges or don't care about badging, whenever a trial is run and a trial badge from that trial is earned by anyone in the League, everyone gets an Astral merit at the end.
Just to be clear, not one Astral merit for each badge earned, just one Astral merit if at least one trial badge is earned.

He actually improved his times after I took that.

Quote:Better yet, what people originally suggested:It would be nice if the Devs went back and changed the Lambda and BAF badges so they awarded for accomplishing things you actually want to accomplish. Examples
Lambda
Lambda Looter => The league gets all the Acids and Grenades in under 5 minutes
AntAcid => The league uses all the Acids on the doors.
Well Stocked => Marauder is not pacified for more than 5 seconds at a time after the first grenade.- Lambda Looter: Complete the Lambda Sector Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades and 10 Molecular Acids but using no Grenades or Acids in the final battle. *Note: this doesn't carry the EXTRA clause of "you can't collect any outside" which is totally stupid.
- Antacid: Complete the Lambda Sector Trial having acquired 10 Molecular Acids in 5 minutes.
- Well Stocked: Complete the Lambda Sector Trial having acquired 10 Pacification Grenades in 5 minutes.

Yeah, a few friends and myself were shocked at that stealth change too.
And, no, I haven't seen a patch note saying it was changed either. -
Yes, looks like the badge hint text is in error.

Um, I was answering Guy Perfect's post asking what fallacy he was thinking of. That post had nothing to do with "unauthorized access" which, while a real threat, isn't the same as saying just because X game was hacked that means Y game will be hacked.
To put it in other terms, the original poster is saying that because WoW, Rift, and DCU were hacked and had credit information stolen that means that CoH will be hacked and will have credit card information stolen.
Might NCsoft have accounts hacked? Possibly, but it isn't a sure thing. Will the possible attack manage to get vital information? Again, possibly. Then again, they might just get access to Aion or Lineage instead. -
Why? Really, what the <censored> is wrong fighting equal level critters if that is what I want to do?
Why can't we have a version of APEX, Tin Mage, BAF, Lambda, Keyes, Underground, TPN, and MoM where the critters are level 50 (or at most 51), and the AVs are capped at level 54?
What is so wrong with wanting that? -
Quote:I'd say you're partly wrong on this. The problem is that level 50+3s are also doing these trials disproportionately, and are getting better rewards/time invested in general. The inability of level 50s to contribute against a level 54+1 or 54+2 AV is part of what is skewing the reward ratio that pushes people with very experienced and developed Incarnates to spam the easiest trials.
The one reason I like using my level 50+3s on BAF and Lambda, at its most basic level, is because that is the level where I WANT to fight things. I don't want to get into a peeing contest with +4s. When I play non-incarnate content, I play at +0, straight to level 50, except on a very few select characters. Playing at level 50+3 vs BAF/Lambda/Keyes means that I'm actually feeling close to powerful and not some sidekick battling groups the "real" superhero/villains should be dealing with. -
I figured I'd give thanks anyways. Also it should have been IN the patch notes, which it wasn't.
I also figured this thread would, you know, let people know that it was actually fixed instead of thinking it was still broken. -

Try the OTHER one then:
Quickchat->Interact->Environment->Throw Snowflake -
Because we don't want to kill Arcanaville with a laughing fit. We like having her around.
From past experience, the web development staff at NCsoft isn't competent enough to do even an adequate job at web security.
Edit:
How bad can they be you ask? Read the following thread (all 422 posts):
Discussion: New Security Update on NCsoft Master Accounts -
Apparently there has been a stealth FIX for the Negotiator badge flashback. You can again get this via flashback. The game will direct you to Paula Dempsey in Kings Row, just outside of the train station.
