  1. I can think of a number of interesting things DC could do,
    1) Clark and Lois finally have a baby
    2) Superman comes in conflict with a new villian who is equal, with opposing ideology, sort of what he could have been had he been raised by someone else. Sort of like Red Sun. it would be critical it not be a Kryptonian or Daxamite, and to be politically correct, not something that wouldn't result in a law suit on Civil Rights grounds, not so much evil, but opposing.

    Wish List for 21

    1) Dominators get Illusion Control
    2) HEAT's get access to Patron Pools when they go to the Redside( same ones what Tanks get)
    3) More Purple Sets for those power types that currently don't have a purple
    4) the ability to trade 41-50 power slots for enhancement slots(3)
    5) Expanded content for Preatorians beyond 20, and the ability for Primals to become Preatorians
    6) Related to the above, in one or more of the existing PvP zones, allow for a three sided conflict
    7) Enhancement Consolidation - Recipes are consolidated to be leveless, a crafted IO gets its level at +3 the crafter level. If it has a min. level, the crafter has to be -3 the min. level, if it has a max level, that's the max that IO can be crafted( an IO who tops out at 40, will still be 40 if crafted by a level 50)
    8) Introduce flavored Damage IO's, there would be one flavor for each damage type, when slotted, that portion of enhanced damage is of that damage type
    9) Since Fitness is now an inherant, create a new Power Pool called Discipline, each power in it would be a low mag mez protection power like what Soldiers get, that is, enough to improve the quality of life of toons w/o mez protection, but not a huge deal for those already with status protection( +2 or +3 status protection would mean a whole lot more to a defender than say a tank)

Hawkman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Jade, Osiris, Maxwell Lord, Hawk, and the original Firestorm are all alive.

Hawkgirl, Professor stein? (Firestorm's mentor), and Boston Brand is dead.

The reason bright day happened was that...

When Swamp Thing was created he was imprinted with Alec Holland's psyche, but when Nekron tried to take over everything Swamp Thing was imprinted by Nekron.

The "quests" each of the people went on was to prevent a possible strengthening or weakening of each of the Swamp Things and/or to purify the corruption that they and the elements had gained.

Boston Brand had to die because >.> ummmm well the reason is the needed a pure body to resurrect Alec Holland, but then he should have already been pure using the logic of why Boston was pure... oh well.
With Boston, its hard to be Deadman, if well you aren't dead. I was a bit dissappointed by not bringing back Hawkgirl

  5. that makes me think of something else,
in the old series, we had the Matrix( introduced long before the movie of the same name came out), which is where all good Time Lords had their minds uploaded to when they died, not unlike what finally happens to River ;-)

    So what am I saying?
-The Doctor and the Time Lady we meet in Neil Gaiman's episode have a Daughter
-the Picture of Amy and the baby is her holding herself as a baby
-Later on we get both end and beginning of the story of the girl in the space suit( we saw only the middle part of her story from her point of view), she ends up being the Doctor's daughter somehow
-At some point, she regenerates, loses her memory and is placed with the Pond Family
-At some point in the future she regenerates into River( with maybe some Regenerations in between)

Ok it might not be that twisted, but in that direction, I am sure the girl and baby is most definitely River

I was talking about HER first meeting with the Doctor from HER point of view. The Library was her last meeting with the Doctor from her point of view, while his first for her. That is of course assuming he doesn't visit her there, or manages to somehow create a new body to download in.

Actually I can see a scenario in the future, where after everything happens with River from his point of view, and they have a nice chat

    Crab AoE Attacks

actually I do have a 50 WS ;-), in all honestly I forgot about the HEATs, I'll amend my statement, VEATS and HEATs are a lot more slot hungary than you standard AT's( i'd love to be able to sacrifice a power slot in the 41-50 range for 3 enhancement slots).
  8. Keep in mind, its still the best PBAE attack available to Doms by a decent measure. It might not be the mini-nuke it once was, but I wouldn't describe it as a bad power by any degree
  9. I was just thinking of another alternative.

The description River gives of her first meeting with the Doctor, when she was talking with Rory, didn't it sound awefully like Amy and the Doctor's first meeting?

    Other standouts,
River is at least as proficient with the Tardis as the Doctor, while other companions have been known to occasionally pilot the TARDIS, name one companion who isn't Susan or Romana( that is non-Gallefrayan) who is as least as good as the Doctor. The only third one I can think of is Donna when she briefly was Doctor Donna( and carrying a little bit of the Doctor in her, sidenote, even though the Gallefrayan part of her is suppressed, would anyone of her descendants end up being full Gallefrayan???)

River is proficent in Ancient Galllifrayen, again the same ones as above

I'm not including K-9 obviously b/c he is a robot

Unanswered questions I'd love to learn the answers to:
    Whatever happened to Susan?
Whatever happened to the Doctor's Daughter from season 4
Was Romana that Time Lady we saw in End of Time( i'm sorry the bit about that being his previously unmentioned or seen Mommy just doesn't have the same impact)
  10. Wooden_Replica

    Crab AoE Attacks

as mentioned, a crab is sort of a Heavy Weapons specialist/ light tank

the melee powers aren't great but aren't bad either, and would otherwise wouldn't be a bad home for set bonuses, except for one small thing, like all VEAT builds, its slot hungry, both my Widow and Soldier, are the only alts of mine at 50, whom I would love a lot more slots on, at least to their degree. and a purpled up, incarnated up Crab, can become quite a scary beast

I wouldn't say it would a first for the Doctor,
  14. I thought that this was a good episode as well as the first episode, BUT....
-I got a strong feeling this wasn't the first encounter with the Doctor from the Silience's point of view, nor their last.
-They kind of made a huge jump from the last episode to this one, I would've been fine with a three part just to flesh the story out more, to cover up the missing parts.
-Related to the above, I got a feeling there is a lot more going on, than we're aware of, that will be covered later
-Still kind of wondering about the girl, and the hints we have of her identity, that is there is a picture of a baby being held by Amy, presumably Amy holding her daughter, who is the girl, and latter we see the same girl, regenerating like a Gallifreyan.<side note, an idea for a future companian, the Doctor's Daughter from the 10th Doctor era>\

  16. It’s pretty sad that DC has some Obama-Philes. I do have a few issues with this
    1) It’s been pretty clear, and consistently written, that his only real limitation in his actions has been his moral compass. He hasn’t been called a boy scout for nothing. Implying the US Government somehow limits his actions would be bizarre.
    2) Granted his own in-laws are associated with some fringe elements in the military, and seem to be opposed to him, the real question. How could the US government really limit him w/o calling on other super heroes( a Civil War type storyline might be interesting in the DCU).
    3) Going back to number 1), by implying becoming a global citizen will somehow free him of previously unknown limitations, would seem to mean he plans on going hardcore, which would be really out of character.
    4) Does it even really matter? It would only really matter if he gave his secret identity as Clark Kent, and went to live full time in the Fortress of Solitude( and I could see no good angle for Lois), not do so would be a bit hypocritical, Superman doesn’t pay taxes, Clark does, Superman doesn’t vote, Clark does, Superman doesn’t have a SSN, Clark presumably does, etc. If he didn’t do that, him going before the UN would be just big grandstanding( which is out of character), and also if he does give up his secret identity. It would hurt Lois( which is out of character).
I just have a sad feeling, the powers that be at DC, are wanting to turn him into a sort of Super-Obama like figure, rather than the Jimmy Stewart type hero we’ve known.
  17. my issue with Lamda is that specific part. unfortunately I don't know the layout yet, and inevitably I get seperated from my team, and get lost in there. I admit, I preferred the steam roll method that I did in one of the times I did it, in addition to not getting seperated from my time, it did net more threads.\
  18. I ended up switching to the Seers tier 3, and a big improvement over the IDF if for no other reason, one of the seers does seem to do a good job with fortitude, other better in other respects.
  19. Ok I unlocked Lore and put in a 3rd Tier IDF in it.
Ok I get the level shift only occurs in specific trials

-I wasn't too impressed with the IDF Ranger and Battle Orb combo, underwealming really compared to say the Patron Pets( although the other incarnate powers all seem great)

So is it the tier 4's that the Lore Pets become decent? Or is it just that the IDF Pets are poor?

Also I am a little unsure of the differences in the two tier 4's that each Lore pet has.
  20. Honestly, Cardiac is great for its end reduction componant, especially if your running an end heavy build, and odds are your not capped there, or if you are you can readjust your build some, the resist is just gravy. on a resist heavy build say like a electric armor type, you really do have to get the upper lvl cardiacs to get any real benifit from the resist. I don't have an incarnate MM, but I have heard it mentioned, that Cardiac does increase your henches resistance, not sure about that.
  21. what he said, while in PvE forts are great, and are generally always on demand for Trials, Taskforces, and Strikeforces, there not so great for PvP.

Defense - it can help, SOMETIMES, but no where near as reliable as in PvE. I'm not sure of how a Forts defense compares to a SR Scrapper with similar PvE Defense Values.

Control - a strong componant for PvE, its of marginal utility in PvP, your best control power available is the Web thingie in the Patron Power pool, and that more to ground things than anything else

Damage - you just don't have enough damage in PvP, your best damage power is the sharks power in the Patron Pool, and this isn't helped by everyone having hibernate when you do manage to wittle someone down.

In team PvP, they can be somewhat effective

Their biggest Pro's is having fairly good stealth values for anyone who isn't a stalker, and having the highest perception along with Soldiers, that is being able to detect stalkers better than other toons( note just being able to see a stalker won't mean you immune to his stalker critical, even when not placated)

In PvP 1.0 they were fairly decent, and even in the very early days of PvP 2.0, before the dev's nerfed both their damage AND defense( in all fairness one or the other should've been nerfed, but not both)
  22. I'll be unlocking that slot pretty soon, any suggestions? or is all of the options pretty much the same here?
  23. Just curious, has anyone went backthrough the 45-50 content fully incarnated yet, or have done something like the LRSF or STF with a full team of fully incarnated toons( that is with all 4 new incarnate slots unlocked and slotted), just curious

No question to me BAF is much more fun than Lambda( my only complaint with BAF, is I wish after doing it X number of times, you no longer get the cut scene), while both require a certian level of cooperation among a large group of players, it just seems that cooperation just doesn't happen with Lambda. Granted BAF is much more easier to pick up on, if you never have done one before, it really doesn't require studying Paragon Wiki to do.
