Quote:You get the digital album right away while you have to wait for the physical one to be shipped along with the poster. And for those who find it important, your digital album is "legally" acquired.I kind of want to pre-order it as the music I have heard so far sound great but $35 seems kind of high. Plus, why would I need the digital album if it comes with the physical album?
You can also pre-order the album on iTunes for $9.99 and you get one track right away and two bonus ones on release day.
But I want that poster and I can't have it cause I'm North of the border -
...is up for pre-order here
It even comes with a kick-*** glow-in-the-dark poster!
Too bad Canadians can't pre-order it... *cries* -
Quote:My daughter is great for impromptu cursing.Well kinda game related i guess. Just not this game
My 8 year old was taking her turn playing Soul Calibure 4 on my 360. My 10 year old was of course right next to her waiting for his turn and was being bossy with her. My wife and I are up stairs half listening half talking about grown up stuff when we hear "NO F'ING DUH JOEY!!!!" just be screamed at the top of her lungs from down stairs. Only she didnt say "F'ing" she said the word.
After the split second of pure joy i get to experience before i have to become parental, we respond "what did you say?" her excuse was that Joey wouldnt leave her alone to play and therefore he made her say it.
She's let out the following all before the age of five:
"Look at the f***ing tomatoes mommy!" while reading a magazine in a hospital waiting room.
"Bamma, what the h**l are you doing?" Asking her grandmother why she's in the bathroom.
"Where's my d**n kitty?" Looking for a dinky McDonald's toy she dropped.
"Where the f**k is mommy?" While waiting in the car while my wife ran an errand.
And my personal favorite: after chastising her for being rowdy and locking her in her high-chair... "F**K!" She was 18mo at the time...
There's been a few more, but those are the memorable ones. I try really hard not to swear at home, but she obviously picks up on my few moments of weakness. -

Kinda lame though, for a system that should be giving us at least one new slot per issue, we only get half a slot in the first issue.

While driving out to a breakfast restaurant, I ask my 3yo son what he wants for breakfast.
He answers "Roffles!"
Me "What?"
"ROFFLES!!!"
I turn to my wife "Is he saying ROFL?"
"RAAAWFLEZZZ!!!"
"I don't understand you dude!"
"Dey square and you put syrup on dem! RAAWFLEZ!!!"
"OH! Waffles..." -
If/when the devs do fix this, they should keep the "Cannot claim inf" window, but then have it give you the inf when you click OK with another window that says "HA! HA! Just kidding!"

I just finished two overnight missions in a row. Exhausted does not begin to describe how I'm feeling right now. On the other hand in 30min I'm going to finalize the purchase of my first house. Good-bye rent! Hello mortgage! And taxes, insurance, etc, etc...

I'm looking at buying a couple comic mini-series. I don't have a local comic shop so I'm looking at buying them online. Anyone have recommendations for online comic shops?

Wonder how many posts it'll take before someone rages about him not being blond.

So PC gaming's best days were when the NES, SNES and Genesis owned the market? At least back then the FPS and RTS genres were becoming PC staples and hadn't hit consoles yet, and flight and space sims were still in their prime.
-
Quote:I wonder at which point the PC was a "bright, vibrant beast"? AFAIK consoles have always dominated the gaming market, but the PC has always provided niches the consoles couldn't (flight sims, RTSs, MMOs). And I'm of the opinion that mouse+keyboard is the best control scheme for FPSs, despite legions of Halo fans telling me I'm wrong.Fine, I'm done. I've expressed my point and used numbers to back it up. Please, continue to believe that PC gaming is the bright, vibrant beast that it once was and has no issues whatsoever affecting it.
*walks out of thread*
Is PC gaming dying? Nope, it's just evolving, just like the consoles have been for all these years. Now, I'm gonna go to that corner over there and lament the death of flight simming... -
Quote:Seeing how John Lassetter went from Pixar's Exec-VP to Disney's CCO when Disney acquired Pixar, I doubt anything in a Disney subsidiary studio will get "Disneyfied" anytime soon. "Pixarfied" maybeGood, keep it under one roof. Although It will be weird at first to see the magic castle logo before a superhero film. With Pixar they have shown that they can allow for an independent production to fly with their flag, so hopefully the new Marvel films wont get disney-fide, and will stick to their current ratings.
I'm sure they will. -
Would I watch a 5th Indiana Jones movie? Hells yeah
Would I watch the 1st Mutt Williams movie? Yes
Would I watch the 2nd Mutt Williams movie? Depends on the 1st -
Excuse me while I pick the remnants of my brain off the walls and re-assemble it.

My wife is learning how to drive. Taking her out for practices is nightmarish enough and I sincerely apologize to the poor drivers stuck behind us when she's at the wheel.

Congratz Guardian on a successful redside CoP trial. Was a rough start but we all pulled through, great work!

Quote:I'll send a PM to Ocho asking to unsticky my thread and sticky yours instead.Good to see people are interested in this still...
Here is the updated plan. Check it out.
I know Alpha-One's post was stickied, but maybe we can lobby to get this one to replace that.

To throw another wrench in the gears, why stop at simply removing the minimum team requirements? Why not ask for an outright completely offline version of the game. I've discussed this hypothetical situation with some friends, wondering if at the end of the game's lifecycle the devs would be willing to just hand out the source code and let us at her. However now that we're well into year 6, I doubt this will ever happen.

I was gonna post and say I can't make it due to operational commitments, but then my mission got cancelled, and I woke up sick. So everything is back on track...

Notice the finger quotes around the word "forced" (see I did it again). Nobody twists my arm to go run a MoSTF or CoP trial, nor do I run them simply because I'm bored. I run them because I want to, and I run them on teams because I have to, and I have lots of fun doing them. I hate PUGing through regular content and I totally believe I level faster running solo because I'm not constantly managing and waiting for teammates. But if I could get the MoSTF badge solo, why would I get together with 7 other people to do it? And would those 7 other people be able to get the badge solo too?
-
As a hardcore soloist in a VG full of hardcore soloists, I actually enjoy being forced to team for SFs. If "team only" content became soloable, I'd never team, and neither would my friends, and if there's one thing I've learned: 8 hardcore soloists can do AMAZING things when teamed and aiming for a common goal. The most enjoyable and spectacular moments in my 5+ years of CoV gaming occurred while teamed on a SF. SFs are the only time we get to show off our multi-billion inf toons to our friends. I for one look forward to being "forced" to team on the new Incarnate level content, and I doubt it will be solo friendly.

A couple things I'd like to point out about our winning run:
1) We had Rularuu's regen flat-lined. DEAD ZERO. There is no regen floor like I thought I'd seen in previous raids. Envenomed Daggers work.
2) Vengeance can only be used if the bait is on your team. Saying that, I don't think most of us benefited from it and it probably isn't necessary to win.
Other than that, the raid went perfectly, Omega's plan works and we'll stick with it.
