Well, with Bristol coming up, I thought I'd dredge up this old cow.

Hotels and tickets are sorted, but what about our Saturday night out, and the actual numbers. Can everyone please confirm, so we know who we have, then sort out the dinner/drinking plans?

Actually I made a warshade last night, just to try it out, but I doubt I will get very far. I have Stargazer at 39, whom I would not mind getting to 50 to support some friends who are not there yet, but other then that, it now gives me the chance to completely go into the roleplay aspect, so... :-)

Well, if you're into free-style roleplaying, give the daiy GG meet a try on Union. There are all sorts of people there, from various SG's, most of which are rp based.

It's held every day, at the statue of Galaxy Girl (behind Freedom Corps), in Galaxy City on Union. :-)

Also, we have a Global channel, with over 40 members, on which we all can chat ooc without having to ruin the roleplay experience of people at the statue. It's called GGOOC.

Unfortunately, Defiant is perhaps not the perfect server to join for roleplay. It is always said, that Union is the unofficial roleplay server. That isn't to say there is no roleplaying on Defiant, but from what I understood, it's a lot harder to find.

Union has several rp SG's, two of my main characters belong to two of those groups. Then there is the GG meet, and some other spots where roleplayers often gather. :-)

As Wordmaker said, it's a public forum, therefor, anything submitted is automatically submitted to public critiscism and public opinion. Those are the rules, if you do not like this, then do not post.

To you, again, Brick, the OP was happy with the critiscism and you have nothing to do with it, other then voice your opinion on something that wasn't your business to begin with. Stop derailing the thread please, for the sake of the OP. The next flame remark from yourself will be reported to Bridger.

Critiscism is meant to point out flaws that could make the story even better, to make the writer a better writer, it builds character and the results will boost one's confidence much, much more.

You're new to the forum, right, fair enough, don't you then think it -might- possibly be a good idea to -not- shout off the tallest tower you can find, in a rather offensive manner, that could well be conceived as flaming or trolling, something that can get you banned from the forums, and see what the community on the forums is like? Respect is earned, not taken, and frankly, mate, you've done nearly nothing but create disrespect for yourself on the forums since you joined on the 24th of feb 2006.

Also, I think you might want to consider the word 'flatulent'. If indeed you realise the meaning of this word, which is gas produced by one of your orifices, then you truly are insulting people. If you tried, however, to say something else with it, I suggest not using words you do not know the meaning of to try and sound more impressive.

As for what Zortel may or may not have felt, I think you hhave no right to speak for what she may or may not have felt, speculating out loud in such a manner is considered rude and inconsiderate, thus, you are doing exactly what you initially accused her of. Bit hypocritical, don't you think?

Perhaps you should read the rules of conduct in general on the forum, not just the story rules, because you have crossed many, many rules yourself, over something for which you have no leg to stand on.

There are trends, Paul, and it happens when it happens. Sometimes you're part of it, sometimes you're not. Didn't the Vigil exlcude themselves at some point, and then came back once the plot was finished?
Didn't the Rooftop Generation not specifically gather somewhere else, away from the grown-ups? Some of us didn't want to play teen characters, so we kept to GG, continuing to chat to people, that took months as well.

GG has never been constant all the time, and it never will, because, as you say, people can have different tastes, and those individual tastes change as well, depending on one's mood.

We will come back, but as Gid said, the pull to 50 is calling, and if possible, we are trying to speed it up as much as we can. I for one, will not get bored with the game, I will come back to GG, that I know. None of my characters, certainly my mains, are not the kind of characters to hang around PD a lot, so GG is and will remain, my main roleplay means, just not right now. Not constant anyway.
