Did you get the day off of work?
If not it doesn't count. -

Happy Birthday Foo! Birthday on a Holiday.... zounds
[/ QUOTE ]
But he's Canadian, so it doesn't count.
...The Holiday, that is.
He's still getting older.
Happy Annibirthary, Foo! -
Nice!
Can I ask how you did the smoke effect along the bottom? -

For folks that are interested, I've been trying to get the Creative Works forum over on the ol' Comics Haven boards a little more active, but I'm only one (amazing) man and need more posters to help out!

We still can't post nudity over there, either. Unless we post it in the "Adult" section that isn't really intended to be for adult art (although there are a couple of threads which have popped up). -
You call that "singing?"
Anyway:
HAPPY ANNIBIRTHARY, CREST!!! -
The way I see it is that if you go to a Convention you can have any number of artists draw any number of well-known characters owned by Marvel, DC, Image or any number of licensed properties (Buffy, Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, etc).
I think what it boils down to is publishing rights. The companies own the rights to publish their characters as they see fit. The Artists do not. So the real breaker here is if the Artist in question is going to seek compensation beyond the commission. Say like if they copy the image to make prints to sell. Doing things digitally can make things a bit fuzzy, legally speaking, since you send a copy to the person paying the commission, so there are immediately two identical images upon completion of the transaction, but, again, I think it really boils down to "publishing" the image. So long as you, the artist, are only giving that one final copy out to the buyer you should be fine... If you later take that image and put it up as a purchasable print on DeviantArt or other such sites, then you're in for some legal troubles.
That's how I see it, anyway.
And back to the OP, CoX characters are Fanart. They are created using a limited number of costume items (although the limit is exceptional compared to other MMOs) and power combinations established within the game world created by Cryptic (and now owned by NCSoft). Even if you could make a legal argument for creation of the character, they still own all the parts used to create that character. -
Those are adorable.
Whoo! CANNONBALL!!

...Ok, I'm good. -

...Now, if we had a cardigan sweater...

What about one of the more stripey chest patterns one of the baggy shirts, in varying shades of brown and darker brown? You could almost get it to look corduroy. -

I don't even know if this would fit on a Scoop page somehow, but I'm tossin' it out there anyway.

Can we split it up a bit? Like 3 sections of 2 panels, or 2 sections of 3 panels. Or even having a panel a week over several weeks?
By panel I mean the large black dividers between the vertical sections.
All would link back to the original, of course.

How about if I just toss up "Page1" in my scraps, and maybe use that image to link back to the giant one? -
Ok, here's Proj's entry in the finals. Unfortunately, it's awesome. I may cry.
Anyway, voting is supposed to start Tuesday (although with both of ours entries posted up now it may begin tomorrow, or not) and will run for at least 5 days. So keep an eye on the FanArt section for a thread called "FanArt Finals: Vote Here" or something like that. -

Hope I made it in time, it's still the 4th in Sweden and we're before USA
Persuasion
Not a an entire comic but I'll hope you enjoy anyway

Dammit. Now I don't know who to vote for. -

Quick! Catch him before he runs away again!

And here I thought he was missing because you'd trussed him up in the basement. -
Just remember to vote for it next week.
Unless you like Proj's better than mine. Then you have to vote for him. -

Almost due here people.

I posted mine last night.
Just, y'know, in it's own thread.
Anyway, here it is again for those (Juggy) who missed it. -
I don't even know if this would fit on a Scoop page somehow, but I'm tossin' it out there anyway.

Dang, you had to go and make a whole comic!?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nah, just six pages stacked on top of each other.

I love how my character turned out, both powers and look are spot on.

I tried getting your costume to look decent sooooooo many times and ways. That thing was a serious PITA, so I just finally said "[BLEEP] it!" and simplified it waaaaaay down. I actually feel bad that I couldn't get the "circuitry" look to work right.
If it helps any I simplified parts of my own, too... Especially the Chest Detail.
I also took liberties with the way the powers work, but I tried to stay true to the "theme" of the sets, although I probably should have added a Personal Force Field bubble around you when I nuked... Eh, "hindsight" right?
And I didn't even think of "FREEEM."
I so should have used that instead. I was just trying to sound out Inferno. -
For those of you keeping track (which pretty much means "'Bama") I've been involved in a FanArt competition in the FanArt section of the forums and made it into the finals.
Well, last night I finally finished the last piece. The "theme" for the finals was "Pit my character against the other finalist (Projectionist's) character." So I decided to use the good ol' comic-book standby "The Case of Mistaken Identity." I'd love to hear feedback, either in the thread I linked to, or on DeviantArt (where the image is posted).
Proj hasn't posted his piece yet, so I can't link you to it, but it's supposed to be due Monday and voting is supposed to start Tuesday, so keep an eye on the Fanart section if you're interested. -
I finished this like literally 15 minutes ago.
It is my entry for the finals in Juggertha's competition... And I'm too darn lazy to go searching for the original thread, so I just posted my own.
Tell me what you all think. -
The drawing arm (her right) can have stuff on it. Whatever is around her wrist won't snag on the bowstring unles it's, like, y'know, all flowy and stuff. It's the stationary arm (her left) that should be smooth.
You could do that and still keep the arms differently colored. -
For an archer you never want to use gloves with anything protruding (like the bands around her wrists). Seriously. The bowstring catches and you end up with arrows that can do anything from "pop right off the string" to "go randomly twirling in whatever direction it wants like a deadly frisbee skewer of deadliness."
I'd recommend getting something smooth. And not bulky.
Also, the chestplate could get in the way of a clean shot as well for pretty much the same reason.
