I assumed it was because the Awesome Fairy flew around, gathered up the paintbrushes around here and graffiti'ed the word "awesome!" on every exposed surface she could find.
There's video footage of this event actually happening, but her glitter dust made the film stock all grainy and very hard to make out. It mostly looks like a staticy background, but there's occasionally a brighter flash as she zips by in front of where the camera was placed. Honest. ...The FBI took my copy, though, so you can't see it. -
