I refused to watch any Harry Potter movies until the hysteria died down. Then I of course fell in love with the series.

I was still rocking my pager in 2000, refusing to give in and get a cellphone. Now I can't live without one.

Not so much anymore, but all of those things applied to me at one time, including the Potter movies which I didn't start watching until the fourth, then me and my wife watched the series.

And when this game was spanking new everyone playing a Tanker rolled an Invul/SS, so I made Fire/Mace.

It's worth considering though that sometimes FOTM is popular for a reason.

  2. 2011 is a looong time away, I predict the Tanker in you can only miss so many TT's. Enjoy the summer.

Btw. I still like this idea and I hope something like this will be incorporated in the future.

Even if it will "nevah happen"... eh hem.

You know what tax week reminds me of? How much of a pain respec'ing is..

Yeah the non-bump was odd, a first for all closed betas going back to the first one.
I've been swamped to, I got to test UM and I got an mm to 18 but no time for much else.

It's a good update, one that's got me more interested in GR, I want to see how UM looks with a brand new map(s).

My wife absolutely loves the new MM set, and UM on a nice rig is all that's advertised.

Same, though my wife used the freebie pretty extensively, mostly heading from Champion to Freedom, rgh.

Why do I always miss these yummy exploits, can't someone send me a memo.

  8. Practically you'd have to conclude it's just an preemptive name grab, just in case. But paragon Studios has started to work on 'something', no one knows what it is, have you heard about that?

But would NCSoft invest in a niche franchise that definitely wont give them Aion level returns.

As it is they're spending to maintain a product they didn't have to pay to develop outright.

Still it'd be cool if it happens.

You remember those same blanket statements applied to power sharing (proliferation) among other 'never happening' changes, that did.

If enough people are interested in it (or anything reasonable) I believe it will be given serious thought, and may only be a matter of free manpower time.

After all, respecing is a fundamental character tool, and compared to it's equivalent in Mids, the games is outdated and user-unfriendly.

I even wonder if dual builds would benefit from an updated respec process.

I would even spend a good deal of influence to get a "special" mid's-like respec. How's that for an influence sink?

Or maybe a special respec recipe with the mids-like options, how much do you think that's fetch on the market.

    I was wrong.

Also OP please tell my spines/regen scrapper, and bs/regen scrapper that melee DPS is being squeezed out of this game. They'll look out from the screen and laugh in your face.

Also, a complete lack of understanding of how to deal with GW does not mean the entire STF is too hard.

More foolish assumptions upon more foolish assumptions.

    This thread delivers.

OP struck a nerve clearly. While I don't have anything to say about the point of the thread because I don't have the time to read it, just wanted to point out that OP is very helpful and friendly in the tanker area.

So maybe torches and pitchforks are a bit heavy.

As far as the OP's question, why not show your build you might get some tips that can help for round two, since WP can definitely tank LR.

I'd just add that after Castle with BABs modified cast times and the duration of the rooted portion of attack animations starting in Dec 07, he left himself with a base formula that he's doubtful to deviate vary far from.

A slower cast might be an offset to a self speed boost and or higher damage along with strong damage mitigation.

But then that's what testing is for and I can't wait to get a look at it.

LRSF and STF can take an inordinate amount of time with people with bad builds or that don't listen, but there's not much you can do about that outside of, you know, TFing with a close-knit group.

There definitely will not be a raising of the 50 cap, probably ever, but think of the incarnate IO's as a second tier on your regular power slots.

I'm really looking forward to it.

  18. Ahh the possibilities, with closed beta for the issue in a couple weeks, what's your speculation on what the set's going look like..

DOES THAT MEAN LV59? I can very easily be misreading that.

ALSO KINETICS MELEE AND ELECTRIC CONTROL HOLY YES.

Let's just say that a certain old friend and architect of the original hami raid strategies, Marut, nailed this newly released info so accurately three weeks ago in another section of the forums, that Posi himself had to enter a thread.

    My speculation on the incarnate system was this;

(03-08-2010, 09:15 PM) Logically what reason would you have to advance a character which has reached the level cap,
and the IO cap in essence via purps/pvp, to fight Infernal for the nine thousandth time?
For that a single buff toon is capable of turning a lot of AT's into an AV killer.

What better reason then an arch-nemesis, one you can only beat as you learn to tap into the power of
the Fountain of Zeus under the tutelage of either Marcus Cole or Stefan Richter.

As far as the the mechanics of a Nemesis system the game already has a basic setup, with custom
critter creation, and certain missions unlocking mobs that follow you to all corners of a map, additionally
since pets can now zone there's no reason a custom npc enemy couldn't.

And since Ultra Mode was removed from GR for i17 you have to believe they're working on more then
a new zone/npc's/missions/emotes to fill the paid expansion.

The endurance drain gets better in later levels when you can slot io sets, and eventually Physical Perfection, if you go that rout.

    Have fun.

I've seldom been accused of that, my very first post was laced with arsenic directed at States. But you make your point, emphatically sometimes, during test and otherwise and then it's out of your hands.

The truth is as Billz and others pointed out it's not personally constructive to be consumed by game issues, valid or not, so point out a problem and even make a big deal about it, and ultimately it's in the devs court.

Some of us pushed improvements to the War Mace set for over a year, politely offering ideas/suggestions in a single thread, and when the set got a huge buff Castle said in pm that the effort was directly responsible for the change, so I know first hand the devs listen, they have limited time though and that's just how it is.
