  1. Short answer: yes with an if...

Long answer: no with a but...

I found on my dm rgn that in full flow i can still be left gasping for endurance so found conserve power very much a requirement on top of 6 slotted dark consumption and 3 slot stamina and quick recovery.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I can honestly say I have never had end trouble on my lvl34 DM/Regen (3-slotted QR and single-slot in Stamina) unless fighting end draining mobs... but, I suppose it's more likely if you're running FA... *shrug*

Based on my own experience I would suggest the following:
    1) Slot Reconstruction and Dull Pain with Rech first, then heals (say 2 rech, then 2 heals, another rech and last heal) as you'll want it up as often as possible. In the past I felt fine with 2 rech but, on my freespec build threw a 'spare' rech in and haven't looked back since

    2) Acc, Acc, Acc... well, maybe 2 would be plenty until you can use FA but, even then, I'd suggest one in each attack.

    3) Unless you're having serious end trouble, I'd suggest swapping Dark Consumption with Hasten and Air Sup with Stamina.

    4) If end really is a problem, put some endred in your attacks, can make all the difference.

All those points are from my own experience and are all my opinion. In the end, go with what works for you and have fun!
  3. No worries, Stasis_.

Nice to hear such great news!

Look forward to seeing you whenever you can make it!
  4. Not familiar with Fire/* but for Invul I would highly recommend you put 3 damres into Temp Invul and Unyielding as well as considering getting Unyielding a little earlier if possible.

Can't get at the exact link in work but try Google and/or CoH Coldfront for Sherksilver's latest planner.
  5. Interesting. I've got a few things, hope they're constructive.

    1) I'd favour Smite over Shadow Punch. True the rech is longer but the damage is higher. Up to you but I'd certainly consider getting Smite at some stage.

    2) To get SJ at 14, you'll need to get either Jump Kick or Combat Jumping first... I'd go with CJ, tbh.

    3) I'd consider getting stamina a little later. Maybe take Boxing at 22 instead, fill up your attack chain a bit more.

    4) Nothing wrong with MoG IMO, I'd even suggest getting it earlier if you want.

    5) Level 32 DM power is Midnight Grasp.

    Hope that helps.

Well im loving being a scrapper since i started playing this game and i love making scrappers and arresting everyone

    [/ QUOTE ]
    Fixed.

Anyway, Touch of Fear is a great power to have: effectively removes a minion or lieutenant from a large section of a fight. Very handy indeed.
Siphon life I would leave alone unless you really need something to pick. You've got plenty of healing powers in Regen to make the minor heal from this power a bit redunant. At least, that's IMO, YMMV, of course. Try it out on test when you get to that point.

Slotting wise, I would recommend 2 acc, 2 heal at most and only if you've got the slots to spare. Tbh, I think you might be better off putting more slots in Reconstruction and Dull Pain (3 rech, 3 heal each).

Haven't got my build here, I'm afraid.

when I slotted mine, i went for as MUCH as I could within the ED limit, 4th slot only giving 25%, thereafter 5%, that 25% to my view still adds up over passives and toggles combined. But that's my opinion and so far works alot better for me than all 3 slot, as an extra 25% does all add up.

    [/ QUOTE ]
If this were the case and the 4th schedule B SO gave a 25% boost to Def, that would be greater than what a single schedule B SO gives...

That said, regardless of schedule, ED has made anything beyond 3 SOs pointless due to the miniscule benefit they give. The slots would be of greater use elsewhere, I think.
  8. Hi there.

Can't speak for this group as it's Leif's thing but for CoH, feel free to drop by the Galaxy Girl RP meet every night at 9 (BST/GMY) as there's usually a good crowd there.

Check out the thread in the Union forum and see what you think.

Look forward to seeing you there!
  9. 'Fraid I won't be available for the team-up tonight, hope it goes well for you guys and I'll see you Monday.

...diminishing returns 3 so's has none, 4 has a slight fall off and the 5th/6th have a large fall off.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I fairly sure this isn't right. AFAIK, it's:
    1 SO 33%
    2 SOs 66%
    3 SOs 95%
    4 SOs 100%...

I believe it is something to do with a 70% enhancement cap of some kind... Anyone?
These figures are straight out of my head and for Schedule A enhances. 'Fraid I don't have time or the ability at the moment to dig out the relevant info for Def SOs (schedule B?) but I imagine it would be a similar progression.

Fairly sure about the ineffectiveness of the 4th SO but not really all that sure about the above figures.
    /em shrug
Sorry I can't be more help.
  11. That's 4 def SOs? Despite ED? Huh... wouldn't have thought the 4th would do much...
  12. Well, perhaps this won't be earth shattering advice but 3-slot all the +def powers and get stamina. I'd also make sure to get Divine Avalanche and slot it for def and acc (not dmg).

Might want to consider getting Aid self too, with 2-3 interrupt dur SOs it comes in v. handy.
  13. I don't suppose you were Vicious Caberet, Rot Hood? A fellow Alan Moore/V fan, perhaps?

Edit: Oh, and welcome to GG! Please don't litter and be wary of the tpying-debuff.
  14. Sorry to hear that Lotus, hope you can get it sorted soon.

Just out of curiosity, who is coming on tonight? Numbers have been low lately...
  15. Ah. Resistance increases, yes. I was thinking along the lines of the GM scaling for all levels sort of thing. Silly me.
  16. Aside from Rain of Fire - which I personally dislike - looks very good.

    One thing, however:

    [ QUOTE ]
However, with mob scaling, it seems the AoEs really get quite poor.

    [/ QUOTE ]
I'm not sure what you mean here, I'm afraid...

Aside from that, if you're not enjoying it, don't grind away. Find a different build and have some fun!
  17. Well now.

Level 18, you say? No SOs yet, then. I've found my Fire/Dev to be very strong indeed but, as with many builds IMO, you really need SOs to see the full potential of the powersets.

Before I start making any assumptions, however, could you post your build? I'll offer whatever pointers I can.

Check this out, it may be of use.
  18. Coffee buzz... but only a little inspiration, sadly...

Anyway, I find I create characters who are good at one or two things at most and average at best at everything else. Ana Firebrand, for example, is a good fighter and has some knowledge about magic and mysticism but isn't really very good at it, having to rely on the knowledge of others in most cases.

With regard to personality flaws, Ana is quite insecure and uncomfortable with getting too close to people. She can be slow about expressing her opinion and talks mostly in general terms about her past. Thus, while she may (or may not ) be known to people, they'll not really know much about her opinions on things. This means that she can come across a little distant and quite formal at times. And, to make matters a little more complicated, she - having been an outsider for most of her life - feels she must do her best to greet new people and make them welcome.

At least, that is how I try to play her...

    *reads over the description*
Y'know, I hadn't realised how complex she is til now.
  19. I'm pretty much gonna to agree with Lotus here.

    That said, however: Hmm...

Perhaps it's not a matter of the flawed heroes thinking about the fact that the uber-powerful heroes can do anything. Maybe they do what they do because it's the right thing to do, maybe they do it for a different reason. Added to that is the fact that merely because someone can do something, doesn't mean they will...

With regards to preference, I much prefer playing the hero with weakness and vulnerabilities. I find it much more interesting to be a magical-based hero, for example, who isn't really much of a spellcaster. As an added bonous, of course, it also sees them relying more on others for help.

I'd come up with more but my brain hasn't processed any coffee yet...

Trying to figure out what plot is currently playing within the GG comunity...

    [/ QUOTE ]
Doctor Temporis' plot here is the biggest and seems to involve the majority of GGers at the moment.

    [ QUOTE ]
I've also checked the list with characters and noticed a nice EDIT button on the bottom of the page...if I click that i could add my own characters to the list?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    That's the general idea, yes.

Edit: Beaten by Aisla but I added a shiny link!
  21. [ QUOTE ]
See, at least you're better off than me, people are actually able to comment on you, where as I, am so invisible to most people, they can't even say something about my characters.

    [/ QUOTE ]
*thinks very hard and glares at Aisla who may still be listening...*

Ana met Saraya (sp?) once but was quite confused by her...

    (That was you, Aisla, right?)
  22. [ QUOTE ]
RC's a lonely sort of character too!

So lonely and quiet, sometimes people don't even notice he's there.

    [/ QUOTE ]
But he stands there so stoic and manly - who knew that rough shell contained such a gentle, chewy centre...?
  23. Mental note: Aisla may know too much...

  24. *backs away from RC*

You're on your own with that one...
