  2. I'll be on for both. Chances are, it'll be Longbow Colonel (L25 Ill/Kin Controller as of Thursday morning) for Moonfire, and Y I Mann (L28 Claws/Regen Scrapper, Hess unlocked) for Hess.

    Cya Sunday amigo
  3. I'll check on level, but I'm fairly confident that Longbow Colonel (Ill/Kin Controller) is L15 - or will be if not already :-)

I'll be there as soon as we've finished off that pesky Bat'Zul...
  4. As I said on TS the other night, count me in!

I will probably bring along Doc Elemental (Ice/Thermal Corrupter) who is L16, but depends on what is needed: I also have Doctor Corruption (Rad/Kin Corrupter L15) and Napoleon Complex (Robot/FF MM L16 or 17) available...

I'll see you before Sunday anyhow!
  5. My Plant/Thorns is at L32. I find that I used Seeds of Confusion a lot (slot with acc and confusion duration) and Strangler (2 Acc, 3 Hold, 1 Recharge) at the low levels. Vines is okay, but appears to have a significantly shorter hold time than Strangler. Roots just aggroes lots of mobs onto you. Spore Burst...well, I respec'ed out of it because it just didn't work for me. Carrion Creepers is the big primary power, really (level 26).

The thorns side of things are a little weak - just play around with them to see what works best for you.

    Hope this helps
  6. I too would recommend Follow Up earlier. If this is a respec, you can put Combat Jumping and SJ in at any point (allowing for doing zones/missions where you may be auto-exemped down), but Focus provides a handy attack that then buffs your ACC and DMG for a few seconds as well. Very useful for a scrapper

The fighting pool provides a small resistance buff, but if you watch your health bar carefully you should never really need that (unless fighting AVs or ridiculous numbers of higher-level mobs). I would personally have thought that those two power slots could be better used (although I have no idea what would be better, off the top of my head *grin*).
  7. I respeced my PB at L32 as a result of ED. Went from tri-form to bi-form (human/dwarf) but, having played with it for a level and a half now, intend to do the L34 respec and wash out dwarf as well. Human form works excellently (although it definitely requires Stamina IMHO) for damage dealing with damage taking ability - nearest that I can liken it to is a scrapper with some ranged attacks. Fun to play, and I have found that I simply don't use dwarf any more.

When all is said and done, however, it's all down to personal play style and preferences...
  8. Well, get one or two healers into the 40s level I know that I healed over 5M points in one month (May), just before I dinged 50 with my empath, so shouldn't be _too_ hard to achieve a 10M target...
  9. Yup, I would also be interested. Done the 1st one twice with my brute, but that's all...

    Doc Havok - L38 MM
    Rhinovirus - L28 Brute
    Death Rose - L16 Dom
    Napoleon Complex - L16 MM
    Doctor Corruption - L13 Corrupter

    The Hami Raid

We declare a draw. After spending approximately 90 minutes in the holding phase, the server crashed and Hami ran away. Server crash ftw!!!

    SS and Fury

Knockout Blow is a brilliant attack, although it is rather end-heavy (and I need to slot it with some EndRedux SOs asap). I can take down white/yellow minions in one blow with it, and severely hamper yellow+ LTs and bosses. Haymaker, on the other hand, is less of a hog on my endurance and can therefore be used more frequently: I use that almost as a matter of course in the attack chain. Has a reasonable knockdown chance and damage for the endurance cost. Worth getting, for my money

So I think the advice is 'take it when you get the chance'...
  12. Petrifying Gaze is useful, but not as much so as Shadow Fall (at least from my own MMs experience). It's good having a single-target hold, but a stealth/defence/resist PBAoE is better
  13. Yeah - it surprised me as well that we got away so 'lightly'. Of course, having everyone except Rhinovirus at the level cap probably helped

It was a fun team, and worked surprisingly well considering 4 brutes, 3 stalkers and a robot MM is not what I would consider to be 'balanced'. Thanks all!
  14. I think it very much depends on play style and chosen power sets. I have my Plant/Thorns up to level 16 (only occasional play, as my L30 MM, my L20 Brute, my L13 MM and my new L4 Corrupter all vie for attention), but I find her fun - especially if I'm teamed with a damaging AT such as a brute or a MM (or, surprisingly enough, a corrupter).

As a P/T dominator, I find Seeds of Confusion to be a _superb_ mass confuse - the accuracy is excellent, and it can really take care of the majority of mobs while the team pays attention to the boss. As it wears off, I can hold someone, immobilise the rest and still have endurance for throwing chains of thorn attacks into the fray.

The Dominator AT works for me...and I expect to push up to 40 with mine in due course
  15. A point to consider from my experience as a fire tank (my brute is SS/Invul): you might want to slot one or two accuracy into your Consume. It is a lifesaving power for endurance-intensive builds, but the end recovery depends on how many mobs you hit with it. And as you usually need the endurance at the end of a fight, when there are only a limited number of mobs left alive, it is generally bad to miss any of them

    Brawl for Brutes

It's not the berserker rage of the vikings..it's more like the nicotine urge when you're out of smokes.

LMAO! Damn, but that is SUCH a true picture...now I'm gonna be sniggering every time I bring my brute out to play. Curse you!

    Naming minions

You can rename a pet at any time, and as many times as you like. The name will remain 'permanent' until the next time you change it (irrespective of death/dismissal and resummoning).

For the record, my pets are:
    Zombies:
    Grub
    Maggot
    Worm

    Grave Knights:
    Akhenatun
    Tutenkhamun

    Ghost:
    Rameses

    Lich:
    Setesh
  18. I will be online Saturday during the day, but you will have to send a tell to my global chat handle, as I dunno who I will be logged on as. My badge freak, Doctor Vulcan, needs that badge, so I'd be happy to come along with my L50 fire tank ;-)
  19. Rhinovirus (L19 SS/Inv Brute) would be up for this...
  20. lol! That would be the violently bright green flame effect, I take it? I have to agree that it is faaaar more annoying than the relatively 'quiet' (graphically speaking) empath's Healing Aura...
  21. I found that once I got into the higher level range, I rarely even use Healing Aura any more - it gets to a point where there is generally only one team member at a time taking damage anyway, and Heal Other is better for the purpose. Aura is handy at low levels, but becomes almost redundant past about L40...for me, anyway

EDITED: I stand by what I have said, but having read the other (looong) thread about Empathy defenders on this board, I will add that I have hardly brought Doc Green out to play at all since June. So post-I6 experience of healing is very limited for me I can understand the reasoning behind spamming Aura, but I would still rather leave Hasten on autofire, and manually control Heal Other and Healing Aura...
  22. Dump the extra SJ slots anyway - you would be better leaving it with the single Jump enhancement, and put the extra slots into something else. Perhaps a couple more defence buffs in combat jumping?

Some ATs need a team to take them down. Tanks, Brutes and some Stalkers There was even a MM last night who gave myself and 2 scrappers a run for our money last night. (They were new at PvP though.) Never happened twice though

    [/ QUOTE ]

Was that me? I was in Siren's for a while last night, doing some missions. Got bounced by someone, who died rather quickly thanks to 'da boyz', but then they came back and got revenge. Rather nicely

Later on, I jumped into one of the battles, where there were 2 or 3 heroes running around. Got blatted, but it was fun while it lasted...and the heroes knew that there was a zombie MM around

Anyway, yes I am relatively new to PvP - it's not the reason I play the game, and I rarely make a foray into the PvP zones. Just when I'm at a loose end, and fancy testing out my build...see you in there again, I hope!
  24. Oh yeah! I dropped my Warburg missile when Freedom Corps invaded Mercy Island at the end of CoV beta. It was a hoot Apart from the lag *wince*.
  25. Well I haven't even READ the inordinate number of posts in this thread, since we had this discussion on the boards in beta as well...but in answer to the initial comment:

Stalkers are a pain in PvP, which is why many villain players like them. However, there _are_ ways round them: I know that people have already mentioned the goggles thing (and they do help, I know from experience of chasing one around as my tank). Also, Assassin Strike has about a 3 second activation, during which the stalker is (apparently) visible and can be hit. Which also interrupts the attack

Another alternative that works, although it's not much fun for the person involves, is to have someone watch your back. Especially if they are invisible With goggles on, they wait until the stalker appears behind the squishy (ie you), then jump on him. Quicksand is a very useful power for tying the stalker down while you beat him to a pulp...

Most stalkers will give up and go home after two or three deaths on the trot

Good luck with it, and if you need a hand then invite @Doc to your global friends list and ask me to come on as Doctor Vulcan. I like to stomp squishy stalkers for a living...
