Good news, everyone! I've invented a machine that makes people read sentences in the voice of those typically saying the first three words!

(Also, I think it's going to be a Red Stig too. And yeah, the guy's a dunderhead for breach of contract. Does money really matter when you get to be the friggin' Stig?!)
  3. This viewpoint is from someone who still guilts herself over the way she handled plots she ran from the beginning of Union Roleplay. I still give myself mental lashings for things like the Doctor Piper Plot (Rogue Crey scientist experiments on children to try and make a Devouring Earth controlling being to use against them), the death of Hannah Rolando (Resulted in the implosion from angst of the Rooftop Generation teen SG, plot and fights at GG, so on), the two Orbis Agenda plots (One old, one more recent, both with facepalm worthy bits in), so many other plots and even recently, some personal plot with a character that I've screwed up the handling off.

I felt niggles at my conscience when Fear Trigger shot around 40 Family members and affiliates and burned down a bar/gambling den/brothel. It should have really been 20 or so, but with the amount of rounds fired in the story... yep, another regret, I gather them like cupcakes in RP!

I think there's certain numbers and plots that can break the suspension of disbelief for some people. Not just for those involved. There are times during RP when I think "-I- (as in, the player) really don't want to get involved in this, but -Character- would." And then that's normally followed by introducing my forehead to my desk a few times.

I'm probably rambling, if so, I apologise. Tough day at work. Gonna go collapse in the corner and try and think more coherently later.
  4. In some zones, parts of the war walls could have graffiti on. Get people to submit their entries, like for the GR propaganda contest. More affluent parts of the city could have nice murals on at parts, showing the history of Paragon City. That's the kind of thing you could expect in say, Atlas Park.

I shall smite them for such falsehoods then!

Or, y'know, be internet annoyed, which is mostly for show. :>

Is Drumsticks for Dual Blades a little too far fetched? (also to be paired with a rimshot emote)

Sorry to get your hopes up, I said what the pack needs, not what it has. If I understood the post correctly, that is. Tiring work day. Edited it to make things a little clear just in case and add some stuff.
  9. After seeing the video, what I feel the pack really needs if it's going to be about sport, partying and nightlife is the following:

    Costumes:

    Basketball/Soccer/Baseball Outfits
Some nice Formal-Casual wear for PD/S55

    Base Items:

    Soccer Net
    Basketball Hoops
    Jukebox
    Hi-fi System
    DJ Deck

    Weapon Customization:
Baseball Bat (Can't recall if we have it in War Mace)
    Pool Cue (For Katana/Broadsword)

    Emotes:
    Baseball throw.

Of course, we know we'll never get base items, ever.

I'll buy the pack as is, but £4.99?

£3.99 seems a little more reasonable for what looks like:

3 Dance Emotes (Michael Jackson Dance, Lame Karate Dance and something that looks a little Napoleon Dynamite)
    1 Air Guitar Emote
3 Sport Emotes (Basketball, Football, Pool Cue.)
  10. Interesting... so, new Nightlife/Dance/Sport emotes, called a Party Pack, we can assume this is what they meant by Boosters.

That still leaves the issue of the boosters being announced. Call me a stickler, but boosters means more than one.

As for if I buy it or not?

    Of course I'll buy it.

    It's got -emotes-.

I was caught up in RP on education and the state of Praetoria, however we were sitting in the little gazebo on Tiberian Bluff facing Imperial City. I heard the roar, rotated my camera in time to see that. It was at night time in game, and sever time must have been about.... close to midnight.
  12. Aye, there was a roaring sound of pain to be heard as the tentacle lashed against the sonic barrier and then flicked away, twitching and writhing before descending back into the earth.

Why bother using a structured environment if you wish to toss the game's canon and graphical properties out the window?
Thank you for this post. It just proves that this is all a futile endeavour if that is what you take from Forbin's statement.

It is a case of can use emote versus should use emote.

Cindersnap, a Paragon hero who has never set foot in Praetoria, can use ;drinkenriche.

Considering it's very hard to get outside of Praetoria, should he use that willy nilly? Or the Protest Resistance/Loyalist Placards?

    No.

Same for Paragon Police Department Scanner in Praetoria.

I think it's kind of a network over power lines, which would explain the name, having to get to the boxes and the general nature of it.
  16. What I did in this mission was kept running, let some get close to me, and with Martial Arts I could put them down in a few hits, or smack them in Hidden mode with one of my non AS attacks to defeat them. By running towards them and jumping over, you strike them while hidden and gain distance to get running again. You can then use the TPN sign if you have some form of +Jump/Fly power to rest up on.
  17. Alts indeed, 30 characters here over 5 and a half or so years :S

The guide Shadowe mentioned is getting a little creeky now, I've been meaning to update it for a while, but these things fall by the wayside. There's plenty of good groups for various styles of RP both sides, and I believe there's an RP project or two springing up in Praetoria as well.

    Welcome!
  18. My HTC Desire idles for about 4 days before it needs charging. I for one love the phone, it's very useful for train journeys when I want to do stuff like check the boards or read the news on the BBC, it comfortably houses all the music I want it to, meaning I'm not carrying around another device. It does all my map needs, good for, like Diggis said, when I'm in London. It has the National Rail Train Timetable app on there to let me know when my train is leaving.

I pay £25 a month for 300 free texts, 100 free minutes and unlimited internet, and that suits me just fine. A friend of mine recently got a Desire based on having a play around with mine.

And it makes calls fine, le gasp.

And personally I'm not one for using the AT terms in character, and when it comes up it often rankles me a little. Zortel isn't a Blaster. Zortel is a woman in a suit of powered armour that fires energy blasts. Rushmore isn't a Tanker, Rushmore is a patriotic hero who uses his mastery of stone both take and give out heavy damage. Nachtbrecher isn't a Scrapper, he's a former Axis supersoldier who after a trip to Thule gained the magic and technology required to bend darkness to his will.

Though if anyone ever calls Alraune a Dominator, she's going to reply 'I'm more of a switch, actually.'
  20. An OOC tell explaining that my character wasn't and has not been a villain, and if they kept it up after that, just ignoring them. Or perhaps mocking them depending on their power sets. "You call me a villain and yet you're swinging that broadsword around? I'm only punching." (In the case of my MA Stalker)

  22. Jacob returns from London late Saturday morning, by way of Jason Caine. He's off to speak with Zori, and a task force will be formed. He'll be by the statue later to get people informed. Or just to invite them to the UV base where they can use the conference table.

Shall try for some fiction now. :>

That would be interesting to see. I'd assume we'd have to make the buffs include self-buffing options, as not having a defense set would be a detriment to a melee class (even with a tank nearby taking aggro, there's AOE).
Giving this some thought while drinking my evening cup of tea, I thought of one:

    An Assault/Buff AT:
The first Powerset contains a mix of melee and ranged powers along with utility ones, similar to that of the Dominator's secondary, while the second provides buffs. Kind of a mix of Dominator and Defender. Maybe give them a Domination-like Power Boost, that increases the effects of their buffs and the secondary effects of their powers. Or something defiance like instead, that each 'application' from their assault powers boosts their buffs/debuffs/heals, with melee ones applying a greater buff than range.

Jan Boa's sort of similar. She's a broker of information, supplier of people power, and Boa Personnel deal with all manner of things both sides of the fence. Bodyguard work, surveilance, item recovery, item transportation, smuggling, so on. Thugs/Posion, there.
