I definitely see your point and had considered the same thing with regards to vet power attacks. At such a low level, it's hard to have a huge advantage over anyone else even with those powers, but if people feel it is unfair, I'll just disable them.

Thanks for your feedback thus far, and if anyone has ideas let me know or PM me. Since we have other PvP events being hosted of a more structured nature, I'd like to keep this one more experimental.

I think I'll just show up to have fun. It's low maintenance.

I'm not going to disable temp powers initially, because I think powers like Sands of Mu and Nemesis Staff will just add to the overall comedy. However, I would still like the only travel power allowed to be Sprint, so that travel ability among players is even.

If it turns out temp powers are being abused then I'll just disable them for future matches.

(Though, this does give me an idea for an all jet pack PvP match. Perhaps in a future version of the event we'll try that. )

Who

Anyone on Champion, hero or villain of any AT, who wants to strut their stuff even while at a low level! We will be setting matches to the level range of 6-11, however your toon does not have to actually be a lowbie. You may bring a level 50 and it will just adjust your level in the arena.


What

We will try to complete a minimum of 3 10 minute matches, including some of the following ideas:

- FFA in the Monkey Cage
- Teams in Atlas Park
- 'Capture the Flag', where the flag is a player that must be defeated (still working out the details with this idea)

These are just some examples of matches we could do. Ultimately we'll have to see how many people show up to decide what will work best. Further details will be given at the event.

*Note: Travel powers will be disabled, so vets with travel at level 6 will not be able to use it.*

Why

For laughs! I recently tried this with a few friends and it is hilarious. I also recall Ping doing something similar a while back. It doesn't matter if you're a PvPer or not, have a PvP build or not, it's just good fun!
