  1. Yep, new toons. And if you'll be an hour late, you may as well create it now, so as to be able to leap straight into the fray.

  3. Yes, but fire/kinetics has buffable pets, unlike Phantom Army. And Phantasm sucks compared to them. Anyway, with a good FS, all minions and lieuts go down in the same time: Seconds.
  4. Ninjas would be plausible with anything that could stealth, or was dark. Might be plausible on villains
    Obviously, there'd be your Ninja/TA MMs, and your /Ninjitsu Stalkers, but you could also fit in dark corruptors, maybe traps, and perhaps even dark brutes! Ya never know

    But for female medieval costumes, you can either just do plain armour, or something plain. Think robin hood if it's an archer

    But really, you can have any kind of backstory. As long as it's from medieval time and general area, and could plausibly be part of an army, then It's good. I'll try and think up a backstory.

  8. Whenever enough people are up for it I suppose. I'm on now, doing nothing, but I think we could meet at 8, anyone who's interested? You just need a Medieval character, if your concept works, cool. Now, make your character remotely plausible at least, for example, a toughened warrior who uses a found amulet from (insert story here) to wield fire in his hands.
    Could be an invuln/fire.
    Get the jist? They just have to be medieval. I've got myself a TA/Archer, and it'd be cool if we'd have at least some variaty
    Now, an extreme idea would be a grav/TA: "[Insert_Name_Here] was an average archer in medieval times, but when he discovered his lucky charm was in fact a magical artifact, he began to notice his powers. He'd always managed to get his arrows on target, even if they were about to miss. Well now, it seemed, he could control gravity itself, and he uses his arrows now as tricks, while he uses his gravitational powers"
  9. When are we going to arrange meet-ups for? I mean, how about we have one at around, say, 7pm today, just to get people to sign up, and possibly make a SG for it, and organise play time?

    Yes, with my archer I find I do some very good AoE damage in my BU chain, it's good of course with a tank like MaX there though, otherwise, whatever I miss kills me

    I think that blasters get good AoE because of the devs risk V reward system, it's very risky for a blaster to do AoE, hence the damage reward

    Now, I'd say they're probably on par for ST damage, with the little risk, but scrappers have defence, so could better survive and AoE assault.

    I do NOT reccomend using Blazing Arrow as a Pull power. Chances are, because of the DoT fire damage, it will agro the whole group. Aimed/Snap Shot are much better for pulling. The snipe just rocks I find.
  13. Fire/Kin for the win rhymes. RHYMES. You can't go wrong with poetry. It's an uber powerset choice. Seriously. The imps chew up anything FAST with FS. It's just insane. Best AoE damage dealer I know, that's with the 3 ST imps along Just SB+FS them, and control, and the mob will be down quick without a fight
  14. Well, I've had no probs with end at all. Well, the only toggle I run is combat jumping, and occasionally if I know there's a long fight ahead I'll pop Conserve Power, just to make sure I don't run out in the first place. Still not decided on slots, might not have heals in medicine powers, as I'll probably be using them with power boost for doubled numbers anyway, not sure. Just gunna slot for a little interrupt reduction, maybe a recharge, and possibly an end red in Aid Self, as it seems to cost a little more. However, I'm currently in the leaping pool, so my only toggle is cheapo, will this change if I hover instead? It's not that much more, but should I put an end red in it? I'll probably have 3x Flight Speed. And I will have 3 damage in all attacks

    Well, this is my build so far. Or, what I'll be respeccing into tomorrow. I've hit 24 and I'm soloing and teaming pretty smoothly. End's not been a problem without stam, except for a couple of interrupted snipes in a row or whatever. Anyway, I will not accept flames saying that a weapon set cannot blap. This is by no means true. Heck, I'm even planning munitions mastery. Just to add to the weaponage. The point is, have I made any mistakes? I'm going to end up being mostly a ranged character, hovering far from the battlefield, blasting away whilst Boost Ranged, and either running in sometimes for a nice total Focus/Bone Smasher Combo, Or save it for approaching enemies on the tough mishes. I'm deciding to go for fly because of all this hoversniping etc stuff I'm hearing about, and I've got to ask this too, slightly off topic, but are there any good hover/fly switching keybinds I could use? Better yet, one of the ones that switches to fly while I have a direction down? I'm saying this, as I obviously don't want to fly for whole battles, as it'd be too costly, but I want the hight protection.
    I've taken medicine pool as some self defence, and I've gotta say, already, it's saved my life. Very handy self heal, and I intend to use it with power boost too. How much downtime does boost range have by the way, when 3 slotted? I'm just curious.
    Any major mistakes, please point them out. I'm tired

    Burn Spirit overtook you, stamped on your level, spat on it, buried it, dug it up, spat on it again, buried it again, before running past it

    Maybe slight exaggeration, but that's what you get if ya leave a character alone for a while

    If you want to be offensive early on, I advice... get char, Ring of Fire AND fire cages and Hotfeet. Those combos will help alot for your ST and AoE damage. Fire Cages is for containment, NOT damage. Also, get as many damage and recharge buffs as possible, for quicker killing. Do NOT spam Fire Cages, it's tiny damage and wastes your endurance.
  18. I've soloed them since the fix, 300 regen still isn't too much. Just keep spamming FS+Siphon Power. The AV will loose most damage capacity, and your imps will have enough to keep going. And try to keep them SBed, or maybe IDed against some AVs Well, haven't done many, just one IIRC, not been on Burn Spirit lately, but still, he can do it

    Main problem is alphas =/
  19. Remember, fire/kin does have -regen in transfusion, that's really helped me in my AV soloing, never tried a GM though

    I've decided not to go blapping now, still taking total focus though, I'm sure bow re-draw animation is worth that

    And can anyone comment on how good Boost Range is? Does it affect cone radius? And I think I'll post a build here somewhere, and I'll be trying to go sans-stamina with this build, seeing as with archery you don't need as many acc SOs, I'll have space for end reds, and also interrupt reducer on Ranged Shot, if it helps alot.

    I think I may go blapping quite a bit, but I am more concerned about what archery powers to take/not take. Skipping Snap Shot, and Stunning shot, the others look like I just can't pass them up.

    As for energy, I'll take a few blaps, thinking just Bone Smasher and total focus. Will take Boost range, but is power boost worth it? Does it do anything for me?

    Now, I've just made my Archery/Energy Blaster, and I'm liking it quite a bit. I'm wondering, anyone got one of these? Is it a bad combo? Any slotting reccomendations? AFAIK, I have Aimed Shot, the starter energy attack, Fistfull of arrows, build up, and Blazing arrow. I find it pretty good, and I've been 'testing defiance against high level mobs' and to be honest, I can tear up leuts with build up. Anyone got advice? Do I need Stam? Can I slot to get away without it?

    Advices plz.
