The double-header went great this week. We had 7 people for the mender silos strike force and finished somewhere around 28 minutes (didn't get a screenshot for that one )
Everyone stayed for the Apex run we did next, and we got a blaster to fill up the team. We finished this one in 34 minutes AND got all the Master badges!
As usual, here's some extra screenshots!
Now, we've finally made it to the end of the List, so next week will be the Tin Mage strike force. So if you need a break from running Numina/Ice Mistral for the weekly strike target, meet up in the Rikti War Zone next Saturday, March 12th at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
Yep, almost had that masters badge! Still, it was a fun run and we lasted until the big ambushes during the reichsman fight. We had a full team and finished in 1:46, which is pretty good time considering we were taking it slow the whole time. Since I was focused on keeping everyone buffed I only got a couple of action screenshots.
I've decided to do 2 strike forces next weekend, since the next one on the List is the Mender Silos Strike Force, which is very short. So after that I will start up an Apex Strike Force! Come on out next weekend to beat up the freedom phalanx and then go fight off some inter-dimensional invaders! Meet up in Villain Ouroboros next Saturday, March 5th, at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST! -
I'm always up for attempting a Masters run, so long as no one objects and if someone dies we continue on instead of restarting to try again.
I also have a good variety of ATs at 50 that I could switch to if needed to help balance the team better. -
We had a great Lady Grey Task Force run, with a full team of 8 and our ending time was around 1:38. Also, as usual, screenshots! (except 2 people exited the mission too early so they didn't make it into the group shot )
According to the List, next week will be the Barracuda Strike Force. I'm sure by the end of the week people will need a break from running Sister Psyche/Silver Mantis. So if you want to beat up lots and lots of nazis meet up in grandville next Saturday, February 26th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!
Oh, and, um, Reichsman called and he said you're dumb and funny looking, so you should probably show up so you can get back at him. >.> -
Quote:Actually the lag you get on ITF is server-side and has to do with a lot of complicated scripts running at once. At least that's how castle explained it. But anyway, if the lag is things like skills looking reset when they really aren't, and everyone on the team is experiencing the exact same thing at the same time, then that's a good sign that the problem is on the server and not the client. With all this being said there are Task/Strike Forces that cause everyone's frame rates to fall. The ITF mission where you kill the General's along with Requiem and Romulus is the most notorious. It is a known issue and one that there is nothing that can be done with it other than completely redoing the entire mission map. The problem is that it has too many polygons to render in any sort of suitable time frame. This is why the Devs now have a tool that calculates the number of Polygons in a map so that they have a reasonable idea as to how many is too much.
Off the top of my head, the last two missions of ITF and the boomtown missions in kahn/cuda are the most notorious missions for server lag. Twoheadedboy, if you're getting really bad lag on every TF then it's most likely a computer problem. If you'd like you can post your processor speed, RAM, and video card here and maybe we could figure out exactly what the issue is. -
Suggestion: It would be great if you could allow some of the normal head options on the new animal heads. For example, being able to put the ram horns on the bird head to allow the creation of a chimera-like character.

OMG, someone else posted here!!!! I always feel like I'm talking to myself.
So this week we attempted a Master of Lord Recluse Strike Force, unfortunately due to a bug someone was killed. However we went on to have one of the smoothest LRSF runs I've seen so far. We had a full team of 8 and finished around 1:08. Also I got some extra screenshots posted Here.
According to Paragonwiki's List, the next week will be the Lady Grey Task Force, and I think that will be the weekly strike target as well! So come beat up some rikti and get some bonus rewards next Saturday, February 19th at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
I have a request for Noble Savage or whoever for the Beast run (and also the ninja run). In addition to the current toggle can we also have versions that provide no buff and cost no endurance, but put your characters in the beast (or ninja) movement animations? I have a couple of characters that I would love to keep one or the other of these toggles on all the time just for the animation, but the end cost is just too much most of the time.

I got to do my first task force with a level shift, and it was a blast! So fun in fact I forgot to take screenshots of the ending time and the team roster, but I did get plenty of other screenshots along the way.
According to the big strike force list over at paragon wiki, next week is the Lord Recluse Strike Force! Because I'm sure no one is sick of it yet. >.> Still, if you have an incarnate it'll be good for some shards, and if you have a pre-50 character it'll be good xp. So if you wanna beat up Ms. Liberty and make Statesman cry, meet up in Grandville next Saturday, February 12th at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST! -
I got called back to work on thursday, almost as if they knew it was double xp weekend and wanted to get in my way. Because of that I mostly only had the actual weekend to play, and I couldn't do my usual "super caffinated no sleep weekend" that I've done in the past for double xp.
Lady Silva
24->32 - Yay, fire imps!
Astroglyphics
14->29 - Almost got his gremlins, but at least he made it out of praetoria.
Dealith
12->21 - Finally got him out of praetoria so I can get him on teams. I've learned that Emp/dark defenders aren't very good for soloing at low levels. At least not quickly.
Also I think I got a level or two on Sagiri during Strike Force Saturday, but I don't count that really. -
Late update because I was busy getting my double xps.
The Ice Mistral Strike Force went great, probably one of the fastest team fills I've ever seen for SFS. We had a full 8 people and finished in under an hour. Also I got a whole bunch of screenshots!
Next week, according to The List, is an obscure co-op strike force called Time's Arrow. I believe people also call it ITF, but don't quote me on that since people almost never run it. Apparently it takes place in the past near rome, and there may be some nazis involved as well. At least ancient romans sound pretty simple from a graphics standpoint, so expect little to no lag.
So if you want to run this rare strike force, meet up in Cimerora next Saturday, February 5th, at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
I'd be willing to help, not sure when you're online though. Send a tell to @Zaloopa in game and we'll work out a time for it.

We got the two Ouroboros strike forces done in just under 48 minutes total. We also had no deaths right up until the end of the Lazarus SF where we got swarmed by those 5th column ambushes. :P
For Tesseract we had 4 people and tore through the whole thing in around 21 minutes. Then for Lazarus we again had 4 people, our brute left but a MM joined us, and it took around 27 minutes. Also, I remembered to take a bunch of screenshots this time, so check out the Strike Force Saturday Album.
Tesseract: Lazarus:
Next week is double XP weekend, so it's a great time to run a SF on a big team and really rack up the XP! According to The List, we'll be doing the Ice Mistral Strike Force, which awards the Crystal Keeper badge and the Enchantment of Serafina temp power. So if you like giant exploding pink psychic crystals, come join us for the Ice Mistral SF on Saturday, January 29th at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST! -
We had 7 people show up for the Operative Renault Strike Force and finished at around an hour and a half. The big surprise though was that this strike force has had 2 missions added to it since the last time we ran it! Including one against the Legacy Chain that had a bunch of runes with various effects spawning throughout the mission!
Sadly I forgot to take extra screenshots again, so this week's photo album only has 1 image in addition to the group shot.
After checking The List, I see that next Saturday is going to be a 2-for-1 special! That's right, we'll be running the Mender Tesseract (Level 25+) and Mender Lazarus (Level 30+) strike forces! It'll be a day of campy arachnos and overthrowing nazis, so if you're interested meet up in Villain Ouroboros next Saturday, January 22nd, at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
This week we had a team of 7. (it started as 8 but there was an... incident) Anywho, I forgot to take screenshots except at the very end for the group shot, but I'm told we finished somewhere around 1:45.
(also the group shot was really off-center, I think my screenshot skills were debuffed for this one )
Next week, according to The List, we'll be running the Operative Renault Strike Force. This SF is level 25+, awards the Leviathan Badge, and also grants Coral Weaponry temp powers randomly at the end. (Coral Amulet, Coral Hammer, or Coral Shards) So if you want to unlock the mysteries of the Leviathan meet up at Operative Renault in Sharkhead next Saturday, January 15th, at 5pm PST/ 8pm EST! -
Well, this week I brought my soldier of arachnos, only to find out he has a drinking problem! Despite that, we had a team of 7 and the Tarikoss SF went very well ending in under an hour. As an added bonus, I actually remembered to have everyone stay for the group shot, huzzah!
Also, the usual assortment of action screenshots can be found Here.
Now, looking at The List I see that next week's SFS will be the Silver Mantis Strike Force "Pirates of the Sky", which awards the Air Pirate badge(Pirate Hunter if you're a vigilante). This SF is level 20+ so it's another good one to bring a lowbie alt. So if you wanna help beat up the leader of the Sky Raiders, meet up at Silver Mantis in Sharkhead next Saturday, January 8th, at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -
Looks like I have some holiday plans early saturday, I should be back in time for SFS, but if I'm not there and you have enough people to do it don't bother waiting for me.
Update: I'm home now so I will definitely be there on time! -
Well, no one showed up this week, so I went ahead and did the SF solo, since it's one of the few that lets me do that. I was done in less than an hour and I remembered to take screenshots!
Action screenshots can be found Here.
Next week will be the first SFS of the new year! We'll be starting over at the beginning of the list with the Tarikoss SF. It's level 15+ so it'll be a good time to bring a lowbie that needs some xp. So if you want to see with your own eyes what lurks beneath Cap Au Diable, join us next Saturday, January 1st, at 5pm PST/8pm EST! -

After some thought I decided to run the Mender Silos SF on saturday. I figured since that's x-mas day a shorter SF would probably work out better for some people. Also that means we can start the new year next weekend at the beginning of the Strike Force list, which appeals to my obsessive compulsiveness.
So, if you have the time, meet up in ouroboros on Saturday, December 25th, at 5pm PST/8pm EST for the Mender Silos Strike Force. For those that won't be able to make it: Happy holidays! -
I saw this in one of the other threads. Add "-ps 64.25.34.144" to your shortcut and it will force your updater to use a patch server that has the correct patch on it.

Adding "-ps 64.25.34.144" to your shortcut seems to force the updater to use a patch server that has the correct patch on it. I saw this in another thread and it worked for me.

The Tin Mage Task Force went very well, we earned every badge except the one for not getting hit by the land mines. :P We finished at around 1 1/2 hrs, I don't have a screenshot because for some reason at the end it didn't pop up the "Strike Force Complete!" window. Here's the team Roster. Big thanks to Doc Knight and Megaera Fey for helping to lead the team through some areas since I've only done this TF once before.
Bonus screenshots can be found Here.
The last couple of weeks I've announced SFS in the global channels about 30 minutes ahead of time as a reminder and ended up getting a lot of people wanting to join early. I've decided to start waiting until the scheduled time before saying anything on global channels that way anyone who actually reads this thread will have a chance of getting there before the team fills up.
Now, for next week I'm not sure what we should do. We skipped the Mender Silos SF in favor of the Incarnate TFs, so we can either do Mender Silos next week or start over at Tarikoss. Any opinions?
